OK, on the black patent heels, but I would wear a trouser sock type of fishnet hose, that goes higher upon your leg. Again I like wearing fishnet hose, very sexy looking with heels, Thanks for the pics.

Nice to see how tastes can differ (-:  I am not so into platforms, my favourites are the black patent heels. And I like the short fishnet nylons too which in my modest opinion go very well together with the pumps and pants.

Thank you for the positive reply. The picture doesn't actually show it but I've bought those as leather look skinny jeans. :-) They have a zipper and a button so they must be. This is my first leatherlook pants and I really like them. I made the pics initially for a ladyfriend and she likes the fishnet socks, thats also why I chose them (apart from liking the look).

Here is my latest purchase.  I picked them up in a thrift store for only $15!  They looked like they had been used maybe once.  I cleaned them and now they are mint!

I am not usually a platform fan, but something about these I love.  The brand is Charlotte Russe.  They are Platform Mary Janes with a chain embellishment.  The platform is 1 and a half inches.  The heel itself is 6 inches.  They are suprisingly easy to walk in too!  But then again I like my heels high, and can walk well in them!

I got these Aerosoles "Major Role" black pumps from Shoebuy.com about 3 weeks ago and have worn them a lot indoors to break them in. I'm still not totally there, but I noticed that as the toe box has stretched a little to accommodate my feet, the back of the shoe now slides off my heel when I walk in them. I need to try those adhesive heel pads that are intended to help keep shoes from slipping off.

I still think they're cute, fun, and I love the feel of the cushioned foot bed. It's a pleasure to slide my feet into them, both with nylons and bare.

Yesterday I went over to see my gal pals in the marketing department of our retirement community. They both LOVED this style and thought it looked great on me. The heel is about 3 1/2" high and 1" thick and very sturdy. I like the rounded toe. Aerosoles promotes their "Heel Rest Technology" where the angle of the back of the footbed becomes less steep to take the weight off the balls of your feet. I have to agree that it feels pretty good to me. The arch is in the right place, too. Sorry about the cluttered background in the photo of my feet.

I've got to blame Bluejay for these. He inspired me to get them!

They have a 4" heels and a 1 1/2" platform.  They are a size 12 by Cato.

I found them at my favorite thrift store.  I really went to the thrift store just to have someplace to try out my new wig.  The gals at the counter said they really liked it and better then the black one.  When I bought the wig I also bought some black fishnet hose (thanks @CAT for the idea).  When I got home I paired the sandals with the hose and a short denim skirt.

This is going to take some getting used to.

Bravo, TBG! Bravo! Those sandals look terrific! For whatever it's worth, there was an adjustment period for me when it came to wearing sandals of any kind, never mind platform wedges, but I came to love them and can't wait for warmer weather to wear mine. By the by, this is just my opinion, but I think you could've done without the fishnets which I thought took away from the shoes, try your sandals with bare legs (like I do) and see if you like the look.

OK, TBG on the high heel wedge sandals. They look great on you. I like the fishnets too, as they are a favorite of mine to wear with any type heels.

OK Steve, on the Major Role pumps. They are a favorite of mine, too. Very comfortable to wear with the sturdier heel. I'm glad I was able to steer you to the "Major Role" pumps.

It has been far too long!

I'm still wearing heels about three days a week and still rotating my assortment around to keep my selections healthy and fresh.  Amazingly I was able to hit the Nordstrom Rack lottery (it had been a long time) and found this first pair in my size.  Amazingly it seems that the size 13 section is making a slow comeback (however only a dozen or so total pairs and many still at near inflated retail) and the size 12 area is back and decently sized - for you guys and gals who take a size 12.  These are BCBGeneration and I've noticed with their size 12 and 13 heels sometimes they tend to be using what looks like the size 11 heel, so they come up just a hair short.  It's not very noticeable unless you really look for it up close but it's something I've come to expect.  It doesn't throw my stride off any and the shoes are always really comfortable, but it is something to keep in mind if you put miles on your heels over hard surfaces.  I tend to be on carpet most of the time so it's not as much of an issue.  These are kind of a textured matte black but are still smooth to the touch, something I call "80's faux leather."

The second pair are Christian Siriano for Payless, the "Habit" pumps that it seems everyone is divided on.  I tend to wear a 13 in nearly all heels (exceptions made for some Torrid 12W styles, some MUCH older Payless 12W styles, and an occasional pair of Nine West 12M that fit loose), and that's what I ordered in these.  Yes, as many have said, they fit tight - to begin with.  However after breaking in, these fit PERFECTLY.  I cannot think of a pair of pumps I've owned in my life that fit so perfectly.  I wish Payless would restock these in black so I could get another pair, along with the faux suede dark teal and silver.  Another case of Payless only paying attention to the complaints.  These really do have that perfect "foot to shoe" fit and look, but yes, they did have to be broken in.
