Shafted Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Great choice Steve. This is a great example of a heel any guy should be able to wear with confidence. Shafted, the boots that is! Tacchi Alti Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Got these in New Look yesterday. £10 in the sale. The heel is just over 4 inches and they're really good to walk in. This is the first brogue-style shoes I've possessed, unless you count wedge trainers, and I like the way they support your foot in the high-heel position. Apologies for various amount of trouser - I didn't have much time to take the pictures. 'Come, and trip it as ye go On the light fantastic toe.' John Milton

Tacchi Alti Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 That's what I hope. I'm not sure about the colour. Wondering whether to dye them black, but the uppers are synthetic so I don't know how well they'd take a dye. 'Come, and trip it as ye go On the light fantastic toe.' John Milton
Shafted Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 With spring here I find myself in desperate need of pumps due to reduction in foot size. So I decided to treat myself. http://www.zappos.com/gabriella-rocha-averie-brown-snake The gabby's are in. And the fit in a US women's 9 1/2 is very good as can be seen in the photo. Will review them after I work in them for an evening. Shafted, the boots that is! Wondering whether to dye them black, but the uppers are synthetic so I don't know how well they'd take a dye. I wouldn't bother as shafted said great street heeling shoes, basically mens style shoes with a nice block heel. Glad you've pinched our shoes back off those pesky women. High heels are the shoes I choose to put on, respect my choice as I repect yours.

HappyinHeels Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 ALL, Hello there! Haven't posted any new shoe purchases lately as I'm using a laptop instead of my other desktop computer. I recently got the "CARLEY" peep-toe pump at Bakers in turquoise which came with a matching small clutch for $75. since they had them in size 11 in the store I tried them on and out they went with me. http://www.bakersshoes.com/p-237989-CARLEY.aspx?c=296 Now I am on the lookout for the new wedge 'AUDREY" which hasn't yet appeared in the three stores I've visited. bluejay Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 A week ago I got a nice pair of White Mountain black sandals from DSW online in 11M. They arrived and I noticed the insole said Naturalizer. Odd. But anyway I've worn them for a week and wrote a lengthy and detailed review. Today they posted it, in its entirety. Here's the link: http://www.dsw.com/shoe/white+mountain+witty+sandal?prodId=236997&productRef=SEARCH If anyone outside the US can't read the link, it's starts with DSW dot com. Search for Witty and you'll see three reviews for it. Here's a pic of the sandals. I love their looks and I hope they become more comfortable with wearing. The straps tend to pinch my bunion but as they're stretching it's less irritating. Steve Nice sandals. I just bought a pair of White Mountain "Ferry" sandal slides in red. They have a 2" block heel and are very comfortable to wear. I purchased them from "Foot Smart" web site. I even got a 15% discount and free shipping. I liked them so much that I ordered a pair in blue. My wife liked them also. I had to order a pair in her size. She wears 2 sizes smaller than I do. Going to surprise her with the gift. We will be wearing them out together with capris and shorts this spring and summer. Happy Heeling, bluejay
Cl0setheels Posted March 24, 2012 Posted March 24, 2012 And another nice Saturday for shopping. Went out to a certain store for a pair of ankle booties with a small platform. They didn't have them anymore but in a store full of cute shoes i couldn't resist and bought two pairs of platforms. A grey pair of mary-jane style which look better for real than on the pictures. And a pair of black peeptoe platforms made of a very soft material.

Shafted Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Zappos posted my review as is. One thing to add, about the sound. Very stealth, no obvious click, almost disappointing. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Just checked my email. Had a thank you email from zappos. But there seemed to be more to it. Has anyone else received a thanks from them with what I would call unusual comments. Shafted, the boots that is! Tech Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Whats more to it than that? Whats unusual comments? Nothing in that looked unusual at all, just looks like it was written by some old people trying to be young, but with a sense of humour at least lol. FreshinHeels Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 just takes 5 days to review you're review to see if the review is a good enough review In the process of becoming the person I always was...but didn't dare to let her come out
Mr. X Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Here is a link to my latest purchase. The classic black pump. I bought these here in town at a severely reduced price. They are extremely comfortable to wear. And I measured the heel at 4 1/2", even though the website say 4 inches. I can't wait to give these an outing. http://www.overstock.com/Clothing-Shoes/BCBGeneration-Womens-Flash-Leather-Pumps/5765354/product.html
Rockpup Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Normally I am posting in the boot thread, but I think these qualify more as shoes. New pair from Cole Haan. Got them at a Nordstrom Rack in miami. Seem comfortable, am walking around in them while typing this (formerly known as "JimC")

Steve63130 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Shafted, I found your review and read it. Kudos, you really do rock! If the quality is as bad as two of the other reviewers posted, be careful how you tread in those heels. They sound fragile. But anyway, thanks for spreading the word that guys like to wear heels, too! Good luck! Steve

Shafted Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Spring is just around the corner Just bought new shoes. Smart looking pair of oxfords there. Would look great dressy or casual. Jinx Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Smart looking pair of oxfords there. Would look great dressy or casual. Thanks. Haven't taken them out yet but should be easy to coordinate with my casual style. My wife asked if I bought these from men side of the isle, they are so generic looking shoes.
jerbare Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I went to Payless last night to check out what the had in heels. I was wearing a pair of 3 1/2 boots so the 2 women working knew that I do wear heels. They were very helpful and they said that I am not the only man that comes there to buy heels. they did say though tha most of them just pick up the box of shoes and pay them and out the door they go. They made me feel very comfortable while I looked for heels. I did buy a pair of 4" open toe pumps. And when I tried them on and walked around the made a coment that I walk very good in the heels that a lot of women have trouble in 4" heels. Then they asked if I wanted them in the box or just wear them. One of the younger sales staff said that they looked very good and even made a recomadation on a pair of pants that would look good with the heels. I stayed for a couple of min. and talked about that they need to get more of a selection of larger size heels and they told me that as soon as new heels show up in the 12-13 size they are gone.
inquisitor Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 So, I did try a pair of pumps on while at DSW (sort of.) Sam Edelman in size 12. I was swimming in them, so I didn't buy them. I did however buy a pair of Guess WG-Patches heels in Nude/Black Patent. Couldn't pass them up. Another win for the DSW Clearance racks. milehiheels Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 HI All, I bought these today at Nordstrom Rack. It's the Jessica Simpson Francesca heel with 5 inch heel and 1 inch platform. First time at 5 inches. Feels fabulous, but need to be a bit more careful with my stride. Look so amazing with some off black pantyhose right now! I am not much for platforms, except when they are hidden like here, and they don't stand out too much.
Snoots Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Not posted on this thread for a while and I've bought several pairs of shoes - but I wanted to share these! Bought these from Office a couple of weeks ago, called That's Life Black Satin. They were in the sale - reduced from £90 to £25 - and were the very last pair they had in stock (in my size, UK8 too!). I love 'em! 6" heel and 1" platform. Pain in the backside to get on, having no zip lol. So easy to walk in though - foot and ankle completely supported, let me know what you think! Second pic is with flash on to show satin glitter effect
