Here's my boots, referenced in the Harry Styles comment above, but sans the flared slacks. I like these. They are constructed much like a pump, pointed, with almost no sole showing, but as a boot, very wearable everywhere.

Love those boots, great looking and "perfectly walkable" like you say....Love the perfect fitting grey jeans also, they really show off the powerful boots....What kind of boots are they?

I don't know anything about 'kevindamianor' but he seems to have the knack of combining some very stylish heels with male clothing in a way that looks natural, comfortable and certainly not overtly effeminate.   Not that many men can carry that off!

My thoughts exactly

Footwear News, arguably the go to source for all things shoes for the fashion industry 'Old Guard' (pre social media influencers), has covered mens heels recently.  Famous shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti, is referenced in the article, "he’s embracing the genderless movement that’s starting to surface in the fashion world. “Splitting men’s and women’s doesn’t make sense anymore,” he said."

I'm prepared for thanklessness and standard complaints "those aren't heels!" but hope for the best.   Consider Footwear News' audience: It's Baby Boomers and Gen X, with executive buying power that can trickle down to mass consumer markets.  It's an older audience.  It's a good thing!

And an update from the Random Identities Instagram:

Did anyone recognize the discussion about Wandy Williams´s claim "gay men - stop wearing our skirts and heels!".

She looks like an inflated drag queen and makes such brazen comments?!  :furious:

Even though I am not gay - that is totally unacceptable!

CELINE via Hedi Slimane, had heels for men on the runway.

I checked AmericanVogue.com, BusinessOfashion.com, and Now Fashion but couldn't find close up shots of the shoes.  So just watch the video.  Select the far right vertical bar for best viewing the heels.

Vogue's coverage confirms what I've been talking about for a while now: a macro level integration of feminine and masculine unisex looks.

Quote

Slimane used another throwback, late-’60s term for the collection: unisex. What the super-skinny boys with their dandy rock-star coats, suits, black jeans, and black leathers were wearing is available for girls, too. Look closely—it’s always revealing to look at Slimane’s work in its every detail—and it was obvious that they were wearing identical silk and chiffon foulard blouses to the ones that many of the girls had on. The difference between then and now is that both genders can also carry the Sulky handbag, dating from 1966, which Slimane has reintroduced from the Celine archive.

Hansi1973: Williams is a disgusting troll who says revolting stuff like that to get a rise out of her audience. She's not worth getting angry over.

kneehighs: Well now, that sure was an interesting video from soulanarchist had done.

I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!

This guy Jamie Ford wears heels.  He's based in Greenville, South Carolina.  I can't tell if he's genuinely in a relationship with the girl in the pics.  See the screen shot of the comment from her.

Designer Marc Jacobs has been on a rip posting photos of himself wearing heels while under quarantine.   Have a look at his instagram feed for more pics.

Hideous....

I totally agree!   The man looks a complete prat; his outfit as a whole does nothing for fashion and certainly not to advance male heel (or nail varnish) wearing.

I'm no authority on fashion, many will confirm that, but I agree that this outfit by Marc is bad.

Who knows though, as a fashion designer he might be starting a new trend (don't think it will catch on).

OK, I had thought much the same thoughts as y'all, only I didn't like to say. It's obvious that Marc Jacobs does not care what you or I think, so let's try an experiment. How could we change Mr. Jacobs's outfit so that one of us could or would actually wear it in the real world? I will begin with two items, and perhaps they are the most obvious ones, so forgive me for picking the low hanging fruit. First, the boots have to go. I know somebody probably finds them cool, but they are just way too huge to be anywhere but a Kiss look-alike event of some sort. I think they could stay white.  .  . possibly. Second, the capris have to go. Either shorter or longer, and I don't care particularly which. It would almost have to be longer to survive my "real world" requirement. I'm not really sure his reasoning for having very short pants, plus a band of bare skin, plus a band of sock, then these very, very blocky boots that in my opinion should have either been shorter (trimmed down below ankle height), or taller (knee high). The fundamental problem with the look is that, although he appears to be quite fit otherwise, he looks a bit like Humpty Dumpty in this photo because his legs are dissected into too many pieces, making them appear about two feet long.

OK, your turn. What changes would you make before you would wear this in public?

For me, the whole concept of this outfit is just so impractical and not my style that I wouldn’t wear it, but perhaps that concept is part of what he is going for.  The contrast between white and black makes a statement, but it only takes a second for me to think how difficult it would be for me to keep a white jacket collar clean, or even the buttons.  I like heels, but platforms are just too much for me given that I am already tall.  I guess for black and white contrast, I still prefer more classic looks.  This kind of black and white reminds me more of casinos than a nice dinner, and I just personally prefer the latter.
