jim102 Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Hi! Since a long time I believe women with 35 years and more wear more pumps than younger women. In fact on the payless store, macys heels I like or high boots it is women 40-49 or we can say 40-56. This is discusting because women 20-30 say their bodies doesnt allow them to wear nice heels or does not want. And in the other way you see those ugly old women wearing them. Let me show you some examples of high heels I talk about: Especially round closed toe heels between 2,25 to 3.75 inches. "Michelle" high heels from naturalizer: http://www.naturalizer.ca/Shopping/ProductDetails.aspx?pg=7008521&p=EC0102510 "Heavenly Star": https://www.amazon.ca/Clarks-Womens-Heavenly-Star-Pump/dp/B01I234E76 "Brier Dolly" from clarks: https://www.amazon.ca/Clarks-Womens-Brier-Dolly-Pumps/dp/B00HSHJ3XI/ref=pd_sim_309_3?_encoding=UTF8&refRID=RJ38NBHVZXX0YT0SY999&th=1 But I have the patent one. "Alfani Viollah" from macys: http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/alfani-viollah-tall-dress-boots-only-at-macys?ID=2863899&CategoryID=55633&selectedSize=#fn=SHOE_TYPE%3DBoots%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D17%26ruleId%3D3|BS|BA%26slotId%3D8 "CECI-TAN" from verona shoes: http://www.myveronashoes.com/english/women/boots/tall-boots/ceci-13-tan.html I had seen them on a woman when I went to a restaurant and I liked very much. If it is not that model it looks like. Anyway you understand which kind of high heels I talk about. Round Court shoes or boots with the heel high 2,25 to 3.75. Younger are weaker than those 30 years women? Those heels I like should be worn more often. I have to wear them for replacing women. Hope you understand what I mean with my mind! Chorlini Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I don't want to sound blunt, but your post reads like it was translated into English by Google Translate. As for the OP, yeah I too notice a disturbing lack of heels being worn by younger women, and I work at a university. Heels are practically extinct in that demographic. 1 in a 100 perhaps, in which case they're usually ugly as f*** chunky heels. The figures go up when you go to the faculty of law, as heels are basically still mandatory if you want to work for a law firm, so I was told by a law student. Millenial women don't seem to give a crap overall about high heels or being feminine. They think that Uggs and sneakers make for actual evening wear and all to often the only thing that differentiates them from men is their longer hair. If we're lucky that is. Short ugly hair or god forbid the abominable Skrillex haircut are rampant in that demographic as well. I'm not sure that older women are better at wearing heels though. The vast majority that I encounter wear comfy flats as well. The average Dutch woman, whatever the age, has the elegance, class and taste of a peasant. And kinda the same body build as well. Although those women that do wear heels usually tend to have developed a nice elegant overal look as well. As for those heels in your links, more power to ya if you like them, that's the only thing that matters in the end, but I find them butt ugly. 1

jim102 Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Hi! I just have done my best to edit the subject of my post. As for my English it comes from my mind. I don`t speak English. I may sometimes be difficult to be understood. I do not always express myself well. It is not fair that most of time old women wear the sexiest heels. Women in the 20 to 30 almost never wear them. Thank you Chorlini for your notice! Edited January 26, 2017 by jim102
Pumped Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) jim102, don'r worry about it! i would guess you speak French as your primary language. I speak English, some might say poorly, and that is all! It reminds me of years ago when I had some dealings with a few Japanese engineers. They spoke broken English and kept apologizing for it. One day I tolf them to not worry about it as they spoke better English that I did Japanese. One of them asked me if I spoke Japanese, no, I don't! One of them explained to the other s what we had discussed and they got a good chuckle out of it! Edited January 27, 2017 by Pumped 1
Chorlini Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Question, don't they teach English in Quebec too? Usually in bilingual countries people tend to get both languages taught. Only the people who are dicks tend to refuse to learn or speak the other language. As for older women only wearing your prefered style of footwear, do keep in mind that nobody is born with excellent taste in fashion. It has to be learned over time what works for a person and what not. Old people have learned this over time, young people think they know that already and even better then the old farts. Experience usually tends to come from having been young and stupid and making an ass of yourself.
hh4evr1 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Younger women are more willing to wear pointed toe shoes even if they aren't as comfortable, just for the look/fashion statement.. Older women often go for comfort over style. Especially if they have worn heels for years.
SF Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Wow.... Hey Jim, even tho it wasn't perfect English, I understood what you meant. I speak Spanish (poorly) as well, but most all Spanish speakers either assist me with the "hard parts" or understand completely.... And when it all over we laugh about it and I consider that I have learned something..... Never too old to learn stuff.... Have fun sf "Why should girls have all the fun!!"
DProud2700 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Making deliveries to San Francisco I see what seems to be a fashion neutral appearance of the women. They will wear the ankle boots with a little or next to nothing heels. Any women willing to wear high heels seem to be making a fashion statement that they will not be a slave to the current times
mlroseplant Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Here in Northern Vietnam, the normal shoe for female office workers and the like seems to be a plain pump with about a 3 inch heel, give or take half an inch, little or no platform. This is down from a few years ago, when everybody seemed to be wearing giant heels with platforms. This is probably not totally a bad thing, as few could actually walk in the 5 inch (or even higher) shoes. It's all a bit misleading, however, when you take into account that in your average Vietnamese office, you leave your street shoes at the door and walk around the office all day in rubber "house" slippers. This goes for both men and women. So wearing 3 inch heels to the office in Vietnam is not really the athletic accomplishment that it seems at first blush. I have yet to see this year what women are wearing to go out during free time. Last year, the giant heels were still plentiful for the clubs or even the movies, just not for wear to the office as in years past.
SF Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Mlroseplant.... You back visiting in Vietnam??? Never been there, but the Viet gals out here in CA wear a lot of really nice looking heeled sandals. I wear heels to the nail salon that me and the wife frequent, all Viet staff there. They are OK with seeing a guy in heels - but I do get some giggles from the younger gals.... We all have a good time.... Take care.... sf "Why should girls have all the fun!!"

No matter the style. Like I said the art of wearing heels seems to be almost non-existing amongst young women. At best some ankle heels with chunky low heels. Where are these young women wearing pointed toe shoes that you see? I'd love to see them.
robbiehhw Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 (edited) A good thing to understand is how fashion has changed across age demographics. As we know, there was a time when fairly "formal" wear like heels, skirts, dresses etc along with their accompanying accessories would be worn to an everyday office job, to school, and shopping. Men even wore a jacket with tie to the movies and on planes etc. It was considered very casual to wear a sports jacket and no tie. T-shirts? those were meant for the beach, gym or working in your yard. This helped reinforce fairly rigid gender norms, traditions and a hierarchy of status. ("Jim must be poor, he only owns one suit and only changes the tie every day") Then things fairly rapidly became less formal. Young women today do dress up and have dressy clothing like heels, but they tend to wear that stuff for special occasions or sometimes when going out in the evenings to events etc. Just had a morning session with my therapist and she was dressed pretty nicely. Nice sweater with a mock t underneath, shorter skirt, tights and tall boots with high heels. She is no more than 30 yrs old. So in a sense the drive for less formal dress was partially driven by the rush to cultural equality. That is a good thing and i actually like the less formal times. Wearing jeans and a t-shirt with sandals to the office - very comfy. Edited February 9, 2017 by robbiehhw
Impala Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 Here in Belgium I see a fair bit of heeled ladies, also younger ones (In a moderately big city). It is true that the occasional very high heel is rarely on a young woman, but I see no reason to think heels are going out of style in here. I agree that younger women still wear heels, but mostly on special occasions. I think we are reaching an equilibrium, the point of balance where people who really want to wear heels are doing so, and that might be the best way. Wearing heels against your will isn't a healthy situation. So I don't think things are going to change a lot. 1 I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.
jim102 Posted February 15, 2017 Author Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) I just visited Macys online and most of time 40-49 and 55-60 years old women wear pretty round black toe pumps. In my opinion I mind it discusting. Women at these ages wanna have a second chance to be liked by men. Many Young women don`t know so much than us about shoe choices. People here know that. Even escort girls don`t have heels much of times lol!! Some of them liked my Brier Dolly pumps. Few of them said to me heels don`t fit with their body. Their body does not allow to wear round toe pumps. So it is my mission to boost them to wear pumps! Personally This subject post is pretty interestiing!!! Edited February 15, 2017 by jim102
robbiehhw Posted February 15, 2017 Posted February 15, 2017 A lot of women in general do not dress in their personal style to please men, but to look good to themselves in the mirror. Love yourself first and it makes someone else loving you much easier. Nevertheless, Good luck on your pumps mission!
JeffB Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I would say the reason is comfort. Round toed pumps are what I wear these days and the comfort they afford means a lot to me at my advanced age (58). 1 I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
LuvsStiletto Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) I think it depends on the places one frequents, the type of job or career field one is in, the type of places you tend to eat at, etc. It boils down to lifestyle and geographics. Let's say you are a guy who works in an office setting, of let's say 1000 or more employees, and you typically dine in restaurants that are a little more upscale, where most of the male patrons are wearing suites, shirts, ties, etc. You are going to notice a much higher percentage of women of all age ranges, wearing high heels, just because these ladies most likely won't be wearing flip flops or trainers with their Marc Jacobs dress or their pants suit that they need to wear in their executive office setting. These are ladies who are all to happy to rock heels, and show off their designer Chanel handbags over an espresso. Likewise, let's say you are a machine shop foreman, working with mostly guys, except for the handful of ladies that work in the front office, taking care of payroll, reception, billing, etc. You may have a bunch of those ladies between the ages of 20-50 who wear stiletto heels to work, but I guarantee, the majority of the 20 or so ladies that work up front, in that office, are probably married, or have a boyfriend already, so their focus won't be dressing to attract a guy, or climb the corporate ladder. They are going to be happy they can shlep into work, wearing jeans, a sweater, and flip flops, or at best, a pair of ballet flats! A far cry from the majority of women who are dressing for success at a premier financial institution, or law firm, downtown, in an executive office building, that houses 1000 plus women, many of whom are single, looking to attract a successful mate. When it's margarita night for the ladies in the big office, guess what? They are going out for drinks straight from work, with their girlfriends, who are also wearing heels! The women who work up front, in the office of that small machine shop...they may go out after work for margaritas with their girlfriends as well, but if the shop is located in the suburbs, and they are not already wearing heels to work that day, guess what? They won't be running home first, after work, to get dolled up, with makeup, hair, and heels, to meet up with their girlies...they will be wearing whatever they had on at the office, which could run the gamut from flats, trainers, Keds, or if you're very lucky, a well worn pair of chunky wedge heels! A far cry from the ladies who work downtown, who need to dress up everyday for work, and are pairing their outfit with 4" stilettos. It's simply the law of numbers here! Unless you go to a McDonalds for a quick bite at lunch, in an area of town, where a lot of classy, professional women will be in to get a coffee or salad on their lunch break, you won't be seeing much in the way of heels in or around these types of establishments. The soccer mom who is bringing five kids to McD's on her way to drop the kids off at practice, won't be wearing stilettos! The goth gal with purple hair, who is rushing into McD's to grab a Big Mac and a double quarter pounder with cheese, and Super size fries for her and her jobless younger gangsta brother, who is shirtless and wearing his ballcap backwards, while waiting outside, watching her two year old kid, in her beat up Chevy which is sporting a clear plastic bag for a rear passenger window, held on by duck tape, while the kid's baby daddy who is also jobless, is playing x-box in the basement of his parents' house, is probably not into Louboutins! If you want to see hot moms who are wearing stilettos out and about, then you need to put yourself where those moms will be, wearing that type of footwear, and it won't be places like McD's, Applebee's, or the China Buffet, where everyone is comfortable wearing jean cut offs and flip flops, that's for sure! Now, hang out durring rush hour at a classy bookstore, coffee shop, high end department store, boutique mall, or frequent a classy restaurant or wine bar, where you won't be apt to see a sea of guys wearing construction boots, and soiled Levi's...then you will probably run into a fair amount of attractive women of all ages, wearing heels. Hanging at the brew pub, watching Thursday night football with mostly dudes, won't be the same as Happy Hour at the trendy new wine bar downtown, on the same Thursday evening after work, with dozens of ladies dressed in their classy formal or business attire, straight from work, sipping appletinis and Pinot Gris with their girls! I like diner grub and McD's as much as the next guy, but if I want to be around attractive women who are wearing heels, and not Birkenstock's, or Uggs then I'm not hanging out at chain restaurants and diners! I'm hanging out in places where women who wear heels, are most likely to be, en masse! My point to all this is, that anyone can insert themselves into situations where there are copious amounts of women wearing heels, but it won't always be in the every day, typical, humdrum, setting that most people find themselves, day after day! You need to research, investigate, and scout out where women who wear heels frequent, and insert yourself into those environments! That being said, I see plenty of women of all ages in heels, all the time! But not at the Pancake Depot at 2:30 in the afternoon! This is because I have made a decision to be where the heels are. Heelster Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 That's all well and good, but to do as you suggested would require a 'complete' career change, relocation, and a hell of a drive. This may happen regardless if the economy doesn't pick up, but as of now - - - - There is a strip joint out in the middle of nowhere nearby - - I can easily wear higher heels than these girls do. You are correct regarding your analysis, I just don't see any of this nearby. You know your in the middle of nowhere when it's a 45 + minute drive to a Longhorn Steakhouse, and that's the best in the area. Takes longer to get to the nearest Starbucks. 1

Chorlini Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 The fact that you have to go all out of your way to still meet women who wear heels proves that they have become rare as gold. Not everyone can move to these high heel reservations. Most are probably not even able. A far cry from the days like the 60's when it was rarer to see a woman without heels then with heels.
LuvsStiletto Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 (edited) It could be said that the same applies to men. In the 60's, almost every adult male wore a white shirt and tie, and dressed to go to the ballgame. Today, most men, unless they have a job that requires it, only break a dress shirt and tie out for a wedding or a funeral, and even then, reluctantly so! I don't go "out of my way" to have the opportunity to see women in heels. Fortunately, I live in a fairly densely populated section. That being said, I have an awareness, that I'm more apt to see a much higher percentage of women wearing heels, by hanging out five miles in one direction, downtown, with all the professional office buildings and nightlife, than I am, by hanging five miles in the opposite direction, in the "burbs", where women are relaxing in their flip flops! It's the same five miles in either direction! One just offers a much better vista of attractive women dressed up, and rocking heels. Edited February 23, 2017 by LuvsStiletto
jim102 Posted February 24, 2017 Author Posted February 24, 2017 With my observations I had noticed few women worn cute high heel boots in Costco store or in groceries. But in Coscto they walked fastly to get to their car with their men and I couldn`t tell them I liked their boots and where they came from. With my love for high heels I wanna know the models and brand to spot them in store and add them to enlarge my favorites ones. Most of time they are not alone but it would be Strange for me to complimate the woman but I realize I will not have the choice! 1
