Shyheels Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 I would always prefer an almond toe. Never a fan of pointy.

If it helps i love that toe shape, doesn’t hurt to have a bit of variety, don’t want a dozen pairs of boots all looking the same 30 minutes ago, Pierre1961 said: What about these? Definitely like them but no good for me I wouldn't be able walk in a heel that height. Like the shape and the heel but I would certainly need to have a lower heel. Maninboots I know what you mean variety is a good thing but I'm just not sure I would wear my most recent boots with that toe shape. The heel height is good but I'm just wondering if getting something with a similar heel but less pointed I might get much more use out of them Edited November 28, 2018 by HeeledSteve 1 Addicted to the click

If you can go out confidently in a stiletto heel, you can cope with that toe too; the overall look is balanced and sleek. 1

They are Sam Edelman "Rylan" from a couple of years ago. Brand new. The color is dark red but photos seem to drift to brown due to color balance issues. They have a 21" shaft and 4" heel with a partial inside zipper. They are a soft leather upper and shaft with a small slit in the back of the tops. These fit fairly snug over the calves and a good fit in a size 10.5. I usually get 10's in Sam Edelman but this style seems a bit snug so the half size up seems to be perfect. I really love the look of these too! Am sure they are very comfy. They look great with the jeans too. Enjoy!!! These look really good. I prefer a taller heel, but this (kitten style) is really cute too, as it comes down to a really small stiletto style heel.
csizma Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 I bought these boots few years ago but still love them! 7
spikesmike Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Pierre1961: Those are nice looking oxfords. If the shoe is a good fit and you like the style wear them always. I have several pair of boots and shoes with the same type of toe and heel. Wear them in public, and I bet you will get plenty of interest and complements. spikesmike Edited November 29, 2018 by spikesmike 1

HappyinHeels Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 blueparrot, That is an amazing colour commonly marketed as cognac. I have on a pair of wedge sandals in the same colour right now. I have a few wedges in this colour and one handbag. Very nice looking on you. Pierre1961, I like the height of your boots but I don't own any single sole shoes at all. You have the "joie du talon". Pierre1961 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Thank you @spikesmike! I don't feel at ease enough for wearing these Oxford outside. The heel is 17 cm They are perfect for house work, even all day long. But for walking on different surfaces I can't handle more than 14,5 and preferably block heels. That's my limit. Always with no platform. Thanks again. Pierre

Popular Post HeeledSteve Posted December 5, 2018 Popular Post Posted December 5, 2018 I got these Ralph Lauren ankle boots with a 70mm block heel, although they do have a tapered look when viewed from the back. Zips either side make getting them on and off very easy. A nice detail is the badge under the arch of the sole. The almond toe is a feature I like as well. 9 1 Addicted to the click

Puffer Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 (edited) HeeledSteve's boots look great - but surely that heel is higher than 70mm? I have very recently bought two pairs of rather similar boots from ASOS - but alas I have had to return them as they do not fit. In both cases, they are size 10UK wide fit (the largest size available) but are just too small for my size 11UK (Eu45) feet. The first pair is 'Espresso' - black suede (leather), side zip, 3.5" Cuban heel. I could just get these on and zip them up but they are too tight everywhere and I am doubtful about stretching them: The second pair is 'Elexis' - black leather, rear zip, 3.5" Cuban heel. The toebox felt fine but I could not even do up the rear zip - an impossible task! Sorry about the picture quality; best I could do. Despite my disappointment, I recommend these boots to anyone with a 10UK medium-width foot, or smaller. They seem well-made, of solid construction, with leather uppers and a sturdy Cuban heel that would be very acceptable for public outings even if exposed. I just wish I could get something very similar in a larger size! They do seem to be in variable supply from ASOS (going in and out of stock), so anyone interested should order quickly! ASOS has other styles in sizes up to 10UK also (some in wide width), but again supply may be erratic. Edited December 6, 2018 by Puffer 1
veryhigh Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I use ASOS as well, 10uk wide fits well for me. Evans 9ee(e) are similar as can be new looks eu43 sizes. But many of my items are Diechmann. I did try to attach some pics but got an upload error (200?)

They look great mate, they look slightly higher heeled than 700mm, but a nice shape heel, they’re not dissimilar to my long next boots but an ankle version, think you’ll have a lot of fun in those mate 1

And their own brand sizes seem to be getting bigger lately, but some of their other brands are still stuck at 8uk maximum.

They list in UK sizes up to UK9 and their size chart equates it to EU42. Though the normal conversion is EU43=UK9.
