Dante
@ Diablo: A nice pair you got. I prefer a not so pointy toe-cap, but those look great to me. How are you going to put together your attire? With skinny jeans, skit or ...?
Thighbootguy
Diablo - That is a stunning pair of boots! It is really great that your girlfriend liked them also. Did she get a pair? The image I have in mind of a couple both wearing the same great looking high heeled boots over jeans is delightful. Do let us know how you show them off (the boots not your girlfriend, unless she gets a pair also). I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. Diablo
Thanks for the nice comments @Dante: I prefer the less pointy toes also, but these are ok for me, they really fit the style! I'm not yet planning to wear them out, but if I would, I would wear them with my normal clothes. I don't really like the look of skirts on men in general (of course there are exceptions, as shown on this forum too), and I think I don't have the shape to get away with skirts. @Thighbootguy: Unfortunately, she didn't get a pair. She doubted for a pretty long time, and in the end she decided not to take them at the moment. But who knows
wood&metal
I've been contemplating buying myself a present here lately (a pair of boots), but I just have not seen much that strikes me... I've seen quite a few that I like, but noting that made me say "must have them!"... I may break down and go for a pair of Newrocks that I have been wanting for a while now.. Never frown because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
danielp6406
Diablo :-) Those are very nice boots and you are lucky to have a supportive girlfriend ! I agree with Thighbootguy when he said it would be great for both of you to wear the same boots over jeans Who knows, maybe one day you will wear them out with your girlfriend ? Also note that it is much easier to wear heels (in public) as a couple than alone as a man...
Dante
Also note that it is much easier to wear heels (in public) as a couple than alone as a man... That sound convincing to me. I think it's also more fun not to wear them alone out in public.
danielp6406
Here is my latest purchase from Aldo. The model name is "Stallins" The Heel is almost 5" measured at the back. The sole is Ā¼" thick with a Ā¼" hidden platform. These are "winter" boots since the sole is threaded and they are lined inside. ( But I don't think I will wear them on ice ! ) I instantly fall in love when I saw them ....

The only reaction you'll get while wearing them in public is "where did you get them?" from people that are not satisfied with their own style of winter footwear. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

saudade
Got a pair of Cole Haan Air Dakota boots fairly cheap. But the leather is mad mad stiff. Even though the toe box is HUGE (larger than my stretcher will fill actually), they hurt after about an hour or so of wear. Hoping that all breaks in after a while. They are nice looking boots though and really solid. The leather smells beautiful. http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2980559 Didn't realize what a deal I got on them until I just looked at the msrp. Yay for clearance sales and literally the last pair available just in my size.

danielp6406
Just got these ankle boots from Spring shoes. The heel is 4Ā¼" high measured at the back with no platform and a side zipper. They are amazing to wear (you really feel the heel height) and yet, they are comfortable to walk in like slippers. (And for those who prefers not to be noticed, they are noiseless) Can't wait to wear them to work tomorrow for a real test run...

Mr. X
I was shopping in Value Village here in Canada when I spotted these babies. I tried on one of the boots and they fit like a dream. Not to mention they look hot as hell. Problem is I already have several boots including another black pair purchased not long ago. So I initially put them back and continued shopping. I am glad I changed my mind before I left. I am also glad they were not grabbed by someone else in the mean time. The boots themselves are "Candies" brand which is sold at Kohls in the U.S. The specific model is "Haiku". The heel measures 3 3/4". The are not super high and that makes them very easy and comfortable to walk in. I searched the Kohls site, and the web, and could not find anything on them. So they are definitely not a current model. Oh and here is the best part. I paid $18 for these. Not bad at all. Here is some pics, enjoy.
