Jkrenzer
I went to our local Cato store for the 1st time (not the last) to get some last items for my Wife and purchased 3 heels on clearance. I went into the store with my relatively worn Carlos 4.5" pumps, 1st two pics. The shoes I purchased fit great. The 1st pair a blue patent pump with a 4.75" all day heel (i wear between 4 and 5 inch heels when no platform is present. The 2nd pair a black patent 4.75" heel. and finally a suede/patent comb 4" heel. I rolled may pants up a bit for a better shot of the shoes. The store is fantastic and the clearance prices are crazy low, $7.99 - $9.99 - $3.99 respectively. The quality is low, the fit is great, the look I love. If these hold up over time then I will not miss Bakers as much as I originally thought. Merry Christmas everyone, Joe

inquisitor
Recent Purchases: Pastry Dutchess Pie Sneaker Wedges (Burlington, $29) Could possibly be worn discretely depending on the type of pants. Bumper QOORS-15 Heel-Less Strappy Wedges (Burlington, $29) Bought them for the over the top nature of the shoes. The attractive price point put it over the edge. Enzo Angiolini Tanen Pump (Nordstrom Rack, $39) After not visiting Nordstrom Rack for a couple of months, a few finds cropped up. This is one of two. Waiting to see if they budge on closed toe pair of EA's. 1 A Man's Shoe Obsession: A blog of a man who loves high heels and women's shoes. http://amaninheels.tumblr.com/
Jimnj3
Just curious on how the Bumper QOORS-15 Heel-Less Strappy Wedges to walk in? Interesting! The pumps look great also! Not a fan of the sneaker wedges but that's just me.

HappyinHeels
Hey All, With the closing of so many Bakers stores I've had to revisit some other ones like Steve Madden which I did today. I visited the store in the Bucktown area of Chicago. I went in my Bakers knot cap, Kenneth Cole Reaction jacket and some knee-hgh boots with a 5" heel (not chunky but not stiletto either) and checked out their store which is in an old smoke shop. If you have heels on then you'll get the hear the clomp clomp sound they make on theor old wooden florrs. Store was very quiet at the time and a young girl immediately attended to me. I settled on this wedge sandal which is, as might be surmised, very comfortable and stable. I got it at a substantial discount from the posted price. A couple of girls were trying shoes a few feet from me and paid no mind to me. The wedges cost me just over $30! A rather quick and nice experience in the heart of the city in a quiet store location. I'd highly recommed it. Steve Madden's Bucktown store, 1553 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. I'd give it a GLBT-friendly grade of 10/10. SleekHeels
I bought these "Shocker" sculpted wedges from Office: http://www.office.co...4593/1?fs=12333 6" heel height with 2¼" platform. I couldn't afford the original £65 price tag but I paid £30 for them in the sale just before Christmas, they're down to £20 now and only available in sizes 5UK and 6UK on the web site but you might find bigger sizes in stores. I'm usually a big 7 but I bought these in a size 8 - having spent a day wearing them that was definitely the right decision. I can't remember if they go up to a size 9 too. I think they're more of a sculpted wedge than "heelless" and I found them pretty easy to walk in. If you like it, wear it.

Alexis Hill
Recent Purchases: Bumper QOORS-15 Heel-Less Strappy Wedges (Burlington, $29) Bought them for the over the top nature of the shoes. The attractive price point put it over the edge. Thanks for posting this, I saw this post late last night and immediate with to Burlington this morning hoping they still had that shoe. And while they didn't have that exact show they did have some similar styles. The one I tried was black and cream with two ankle straps. Pretty sure I wasn't going to buy it in the color but still was fun to try on. Just curious on how the Bumper QOORS-15 Heel-Less Strappy Wedges to walk in? Interesting! The pumps look great also! Not a fan of the sneaker wedges but that's just me. It pretty much feels like you are walking on your tip toes. It wasn't that bad but not sure how long I could do it for though. inquisitor
Disclaimer: two pairs are not heels, but I wanted to share the great deal they were gotten for. Bakers Clearance Shoe Finds: Bakers Smashing Flat ($9) I found these at the Chesterfield, MO store on Saturday, one of what appeared to be 3 pairs of size 11's in the store. What else can I say? Black suede flats for $9. They are cute, and considerably better made than flats you find at Burlington or K-Mart. Online for $45.00. Bakers Big Band Oxford ($7.50) I actually had to warm up to these at first; they are also from the former location in Chesterfield, MO. I like them now, but when I first saw them, the only attractive thing was the price. They are cute, though. Solid construction. Online for $29.99. Bakers Encore Platform Pump ($15) First of two pairs and boots found at the now shuttered Fairview Heights location). Really nice looking, but somewhat awkward to walk in. Suede wrapped in black patent. Pardon the somewhat blurry first picture; camera refused to focus on them. $69.99 online. Bakers Tandy Platform Pump ($10) The other pumps found in Fairview Heights. Suede with black patent accents. Worm around my room a few times. I'll confess to being wobbly in them. In this color, $69.99 online. Jkrenzer
Just got these heels from Italian Heels earlier this week. I got a second pair same style in a light gray. I will take some pics of them too ass soon as my camara batteries charge. I just love the look of a classic pump, they are Eurpean size 42 and the fit is tremendous. I have an older pair in red I got on ebay some time ago, I will show those too when the the batteries charge. Joe

JeffB
I just love the look of a classic pump You and me both, my friend. In my mind, there's no sexier shoe around than the classic pump. Jkrenzer
As promised, the red and grey Italian Heels. The red shoes I have worn a lot, but I did get them from E-Bay and they were already worn a decent amount. I loved them so much I decided to treat myself, with my wife’s blessing, to a Christmas present and ordered the new shoes from Italian Heels. I would have never gotten the size correct had I not had the red ones. Normally I wear a size 41 but these are all 42. For US comparison, I wear a men’s size 9 and women’s size 11 with the occasionally miss-sized 10. Now for the tragic news. My dog, Scoopie, ate my black shoes. Jkrenzer
I wish. An all leather shoe is pretty much the same as a rawhide. My fault for leaving it on the floor. I will say nobody could eat a shoe faster and she has good taste. Never eats my cheap plastic heels. One more good thing for Ellie and pleaser. Jimnj3
I think they are a great looking purchase. I, myself, don't really want a platform that high. But these are really nice. Have you had them out in public for a try? And if so, with what? How about comfort? The highest platform I have is about 1" and for myself I feel that is high enough.
