freestyle75 Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 @JeffB: Some people will also get confused so much that they forget the simplest things. After a stressful week, I wanted to have some fun this weekend, so I put on my Givenchy kilt (black), a grey T-shirt, a pair of cotton tights and some heeled leather boots (these ones - btw, not super comfortable to wear, as the heel is made of rubber that tends to bend a little when you put your heel on the ground. I might have to take them to the cobbler to get that heel fixed). Anyway... I was refueling my car at a gas station, when an elderly couple in an Aston Martin drives up to the gas pump next to mine. The guy couldn't take his eyes of me. I smiled back to him and greeted him , saying "hi". When I got to the cash register (I had finished earlier), he walks in (face all red) and says "I did use the wrong type of gasoline, but I stopped right after starting. Can I continue with the other gasoline type?" (Explanation: No, he didn't use Diesel instead of regular petrol, but he used the European "E10" fuel that contains a higher percentage of ethanol. There was a debate whether this more eco-friendly fuel would damage the engines of older cars) I am not sure whether he would have made the same mistake hadn't he been staring elsewhere all the time . The rest of the day was pretty "unspectacular". When you walk by, most people don't look below your waist, so most even don't notice, especially in the main shopping streets.
Bcup Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 It looks good to me. What kind of hose are you wearing?
SleekHeels Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Now here's a look I wouldn't mind being able to be seen in, I do wear T-shirts with skirts around the house sometimes, but if I were ever to go out skirted and heeled, this would be the kind of outfit I would like to wear. My new partner is cool with the heels at home and she knows about the skirts, but out and about would be another story. I also feel that at my age I'm a little beyond "Trendsetting"... What do you guys think? That looks like a fine outfit to me, very smart but at the same time relaxed with the shirt worn loose over the skirt. Also the length of the shirt and skirt are a nice proportion that might not work great with flats but it's perfect with those heels. I'd definitely feel good stepping out in an outfit like that, maybe browsing in a bookshop or department store or going for a coffee in a smart shopping mall. If you were to go out in your heels, where would you like to go? Perhaps "at your age" it's even more important to be a trendsetter and inspire people who've been trapped in their shell for longer than they can remember. Just think of it as dressing honestly... maybe "at your age" you're a little beyond conforming to how other people expect you to dress. All I'm saying is that you might have other reservations about stepping out in heels, but don't let age have anything to do with it. If you like it, wear it.
Puffer Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Nice boots, iibb - are you showing three different pairs here? I like the toe and heel on those in pics 4/5 - what length are the shafts, please? Can we see more pics! Those in pics 6/7 (which appear to have a flat heel) are eminently wearable in male mode, as discussed currently in this thread: http://hhplace.org/topic/22571-the-stigma-and-power-of-thigh-high-boots/
6inchheel Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I tried this look the other day...I got so caught up when i was trying this look out I just went for it in an outing. So many women complimented me on my jeans and heels they didn't notice the rest.
AZShoeNut Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Love the leopard t-strap pumps. Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!

Rockpup Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Trying on Pigalles, should have hiked my jeans up more 1 (formerly known as "JimC")
Steve63130 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Did you buy them? What was your impression? Steve
AZShoeNut Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Trying on Pigalles, should have hiked my jeans up more What a fun afternoon. Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
Ynotme Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Trying on Pigalles, should have hiked my jeans up more Looks like a lot of fun how long did you spend walking around in them ? Wish I coud afford some also .
Rockpup Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 I only wore them for a couple minutes. They were at least a half size too small so my toes were squished, but I was curious how easy it was to walk in the 100s (they are fine). Will hit a Louboutin store in Miami Tuesday to see what they have 1 (formerly known as "JimC")
ramon020 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I have bought Some stilletto ankle boots some time ago at the topshop site. Comfortable to wear and rather easy to walk on. I did not wear them outside yet ,just inside the house . It would be Nice to wear them for a night when going out .
6inch-heaven Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've posted, I thought I'd put these couple of pics up that my girlfriend took of the other day, unfortunately I didn't get to go out wearing this, but hopefully tonight. I'm wearing a pink Abercrombie polo shirt, river island black skinny jeans (women's), and new look 5 inch heels with a 1/2 inch platform. How do I look, constructive comments welcome as always. Thanks 6inch-heaven

Mr. X Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 looking good 6inch! Maybe a nice jacket might work well? But otherwise nicely done!
SleekHeels Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I like the simplicity of your outfit 6inch-heaven, it looks perfect for going out for a drink or meal with friends. Sometimes us guys can look a bit top-heavy with a bright top because of our broad shoulders and narrow hips, but the length of your top looks just right to counteract that, and in your photos those black skinny jeans taper down to your heels really nicely. I would feel fabulous wearing that outfit and I hope you do too. Please do let us know how you get on when you do wear it going out. If you like it, wear it.
Steve63130 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I agree. You have a good body shape for wearing those heels. Go out and have a fun time. Don't worry about what others might think. Just enjoy yourself and your time with your friend(s). Steve

6inch-heaven Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Thanks for the compliments, It means a lot I always struggle to put together outfits that I like. 6inch-heaven
freestyle75 Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 First time snow fell where I live this year - so I thought it might be nice to wear the skirt that has been sitting here for a few weeks now (waiting for exactly this kind of weather). I didnt't feel like wearing knee-high boots + leggings this time, so I searched the net and found quite a few people wearing this kind of skirt over jeans, so I did the same thing. Black top with zipper at the back - made by myself from a Cashmere/cotton blend, Boss shirt, Tom Tailor Bootcut Jeans, Moncler Skirt, Moncler heeled boots. Went grocery shopping this way. An old man waiting in line at the cash register made a face like he wanted to say something to me ... but kept it to himself in the end...
ilikekicks Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 A skirt OVER jeans? First time Ive seen such a thing. Doesnt look too bad. Maybe it will grow on me. REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
