Interesting take @MackyHeels I rarely get reactions to anything I wear these days. And when I do, it is almost always positive! And @Cali I find it is almost ALWAYS how you wear it. If you look like you should be wearing what you're wearing, regardless of what it is, then people will be more accepting to it. That is why I always do a complete outfit. It shows that I put time and effort into my presentation, and I'm not just doing it for shock value or something. A bum on the street wearing a pair of heels will get a lot of looks and stairs. A bum on the street wearing heels with a complete stylish outfit may get just as many looks and stairs, but mostly it will be for all the right reasons!
Mr. X
I figured it was time to update my shoe inventory. Since I have purchased some new ones since my last count. I have also gotten rid of some shoes that I don't wear or like anymore. Plus I got rid of some because they were either worn out or damaged over time. So here is my counts. High Heels 52 Wedges 6 Flats 3 Ankle Boots 9 Knee Boots 11 That is a grand total of 81 pairs! I guess you could say I have an addiction. Guilty as charged! And some would call me a "Shoe Whore"!
Mr. X
It's been a while since I have posted, so here goes! As I was going through my shoe inventory the other night I realized I had a pair of boots that I hadn't worn out yet. And since I had some things to do tonight, It was meant to be! The outing was short and sweet and went off without a hitch. So i will get right to the heart of it. The boots are Just Fab. They are chocolate brown in colour and have a 4 inch chunkier block heel. They look really sharp! The pictures don't do them justice. I bought them second hand but you wouldn't know it. They are in mint shape! And know for the completed look. The outfit 1) chocolate brown Just Fab boots with 4 inch heel 2) black leggings 3) purple sweater 4) Reitmans grey white and black belted coat 5) Aldo black with gold accents handbag
JeffB
Very sharp, Mr. X! Those boots look awesome! 1 I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
jeremy1986
Great looking boots @Mr. X - they look great on you, and the rest of the outfit. The 'chunkiness' is enhanced by that chain bling and buckle... am sure they make a nice noise as you walk down the road. And that look fab with the leggings!

I think I've got about 60 now, but that's not including any flats. However, I am perplexed by your category of "high heels," which appears to be a completely distinct and separate category from the other four. Wouldn't "wedges" be a subset of "high heels?" Are all of your ankle boots and knee boots flat-heeled? Yes, I am picking on you a little bit, but I think you can take it. Inquiring minds want to know! What, exactly, do you mean when you say "high heels?"

HappyinHeels
I was pretty sure what he meant. If I were to conduct a shoe count I'd probably divide it as follows: Wedges, sandals, pumps, ankle boots, and knee boots. Thigh-high would not be included as there are none. I have no flat shoes so ALL shoes are high heels in my world for now. I estimate I have around 160-175 pairs. I probably should do it just to get a handle on what to sell. It hard for me to find the time to wear each pf my shoes as much as I want to and I only have around 60, not counting my sandals and running shoes or my hiking boots. I haven't bought or worn men's shoes in almost a decade.
HappyinHeels
I know it's too much. When I get around to it I'll ask a simple question; "Have I worn these anywhere in the last two years?" If the answer is no then I'll either sell them if they're still in a box or donate them if not in a box. I've done with other things and been able to thin out things over the years. JeffB
Pretty cool outfit there, Mr. X. I must say my eye was attracted more to the purple handbag than the boots! 1 I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
mlroseplant
I like the outfit overall, but there is just one thing I can't quite get over. Those boots, at least as presented in this picture, are just too big around for your legs, giving a somewhat clunky look. Plus, you're gonna get rocks down your boots every five minutes as you walk! I'd try a different pair of shoes.
RonC
I had the same thought. Love the style and the heel, but top is too loose.

bluejay
MR.X Why not take them to a shoe cobbler and have them cut to fit your calf size. That will make them look much better on your legs. I bought a pair of dark red suede boots on clearance from Easy Spirit, supposedly regular calf size, but my legs were drowned in the boot calf size. It measured 18", which is a wide calf. I think Easy Spirit was trying to dump them off. I only paid $29.99 for them but was charged $65.00 to size them to a 15"calf size, at the shoe repair shop. Now they fit fine and look great on me. It was an expensive fix, but I liked the color and the style of the boots. Happy Heeling, bluejay

HappyinHeels
Mr X, That is not subtle yet pleasant to look at. Yes, the days are getting warmer but spring seems in no rush to arrive in SE Wisconsin. The snow and ice are gone but it still goes below freezing each night and we haven't any sustained warm weather above 50F/10C this month. But the days are certainly much longer than in January. Have you tried the legging look?? That outfit definitely fits the current weather pattern. Well done! HinH
JeffB
Very snazzy there, Mr. X! You nailed it with that outfit! I could make something like that work (even though I don't have a purple handbag), but it's still too chilly here to go without tights. Well done, my friend! Popular Post Mr. X
Here I go again! I went on another short yet uneventful outing. Nothing much to report on that front. So lets just get down to brass tacks. I metioned In the general forum about a red blazer that I purchased and I new I would be wearing out at first chance. And that happened to be today! I already knew what I was wearing. Soon after purchasing it I spent some good time trying out different shoe and clothes combination that would work. I came up with several great outfits to wear. So I am sure this red blazer will be a staple in many upcoming outings. So here is what I dreamed up for this one. The outfit 1) guess black patent pumps with 3.5" heel 2) Old Navy Rockstar greyish white skinny jeans with a bit of shine to them 3) black t-shirt 4) Streetwear Society red blazer 5) Aldo black and Gold Handbag Edited May 18, 2019 by Mr. X 12

Popular Post Mr. X
I have bought some new shoes lately. I also got rid of some stuff that I didn't wear anymore or stuff that was worn out for one reason or another. So I figured it was time for a inventory update. But this time I had some fun with it. I have a shelf in my place that normally stores dvd's and such. It needed to be cleaned . So I figured I would use the opprtunity to take some pics of my shoes. I have always dreamed of having a shoe closet for all my shoes. Or at least some nice shelves for my colecction. So once the shelve was bare and cleaned I began to organize my shoes on it and took some pics for documentation. Currently My shoes are stored in several large cardboard boxes. So it also gave me the opprtunity to reorganize my boxes. I also got to try on most of my collection again and rediscover heels I forgot I had! I was like a girl In a shoe store trying on pair after pair. I was having so much fun with it that I didn't realize how many hours it took to accomplish the task at hand. And it hardly seemed like work at all. I filled the shelf 3 seperate times with 5 pairs per shelf for a toal of 25 on each fill. The only thing I didn't include in the pics were my flats and any boots higher than ankle height. For the pictures I took one for each fill and then I joined them so it looks like I have 3 seperate shelves side by side. I organized the shelves as I imagined I would if I had some for real. The first shelve was all my black and darker colored heels. Then I transitioned to my brown and neutral colored heels on the second shelf. And then I finished my 3rd shelf with my colorred heels on top follwed by my wedges and finally my ankle boots on the bottom. Here is the result as well as a inventory by numbers. high heel shoes 60 pairs wedges 7 pairs ankle boots 8 pairs knee high boots 7 pairs flats 3 pairs 85 pairs in total Edited June 19, 2019 by Mr. X 10
