I just love the feeling of wearing heels and knowing i'm doing what I want and not caring about what other people think. It's such an amazing liberating experience. The courage to be myself is very fleeting, so i try to take advantage of it when I can.

I'm in the military, and I know that if I was found out by my friends, about 75% would laugh and make jokes (and eventually move on), the other 25% would be cool and not really make a big deal out of it. The most important part is that it would end up just being something normal to the people I know, but getting over the initial hump and working through the shock that most people would show at first is the hard part. I'm quick with words and would be able to deflect really easily, but the hassle and stress of having to do that for a while is just kinda not worth it right now. So, most of my heeling is done away from the area I live in.

That's cool @P08C -just like you can be your own person by wearing heels, you can be your own person in wearing them where you want and how you want - and not how others think you should wear them ;-)

    ENJOY!

  2. Hey, lets get back to talking about boots ;-)

Great ones @AlexC94 - enjoy! Hope you can work out more pics!

(and yes - I find it easy to resize/render images to a good size, but certainly understand that those working solely off phones, or some who are less techie will have trouble - it IS quite annoying to have to do this... but I guess that's what we get from a freebie forum (that we are all happy to be a part of!)

Thanks, I liked them so much I ordered a second pair in red! They're kinda pricey but worth every dollar.

That's great! Where are they from? (EDIT: just remembered the thread title…  Sam Edelman!)

Speaking of going out. I'm not too particularly fond of going out by myself without the moral support of my wife, but she'll be out of town for a month soon. So, my goal over the next month is to find comfort in being alone and trying some solo outings. Still not sure where to go or what to do, but it'll be an adventure nonetheless.

Its great that your wife is so supportive. Don't take that for granted! And by all means, enjoy your alone time too, to build your confidence.

  4. @HappyinHeels they look great. Very sharp and glad they are comfy as well. Am sure you'll get a lot of good use out of them.

@chrigi-ch congrats on your buy as well. I like high wedges as well, but these are probably beyond my comfort level. They have the benefit of looking like "normal" heels, and not far down the fetish route. Do you mind sharing the store link? Enjoy!

Just saw this.  Visited "First Base"   Home Run definitely awaits.  She's open to heels as most are at Short Term relationships.

She's probably not qualified Long Term wife material though.

hehe …  sounds good, for a start :-)

Being as it's Wedge Wednesday, I guess my choice of footwear is decided, then! I was waffling back and forth between two choices, but now there's one less thing to decide on this incredibly hot and humid summer day.

    Don't keep us in suspense!

Somewhat in a similar position, but I try to go far enough from home that my immediate neighbourhood will not find out. There's a danger that others who know me will see me, but at those times I take that risk. Otherwise I will be stuck at home only, which is no fun. Starting to focus more on potential trips, and trying to plan ahead...

OUTING: Had a chance to try my new 5" ankle-boot (no platform) outside, along with another 5" ankle-boot (with 1" platform). It was in a suburban neighbourhood, and it was dark already.

My no-platform-boots, although they're size US9, I have no idea what kind of messed up sizing system they used, as US9 would be way too small and unworkable for me, but these shoes are a perfect fit with socks, and I mean 100% perfect, so comfortable. I don't think I've ever gone out in a 5" boot before, but I simply had to try these out. As usual, it was with long jeans covering most of the heels. Getting out of the car is getting less of an issue, and I am starting to not worry about that at all. Although I've worn heels this tall inside, outside turned out to be a challenge. Took me about 10 minutes to get used to it, and figure out how to handle the slopes on a sidewalk, and the ups and downs of driveway entrances. I didn't trip, ankles didn't go out, so am quite proud of myself. Walked around for ~30 minutes, and it was an amazing 30 minutes. Had some people walk by, but didn't care. Did get a small group of teenager guys walk my way for which I stopped and messed around with my phone until they passed. I didn't trust that situation. After 30 minutes of walking about, my feet didn't ache, my toes weren't crushed, I love these. Although the heels are higher than my usual, I'm surprised how well I did.

Before calling it quits, I had to try the other boots, so changed into them, and took a quick stroll. I don't know why, possibly because after 30 minutes with a 5" lift, wearing something with a 4" lift was child's play. I felt like I was wearing my sneakers, so comfortable, so easy to walk in.

Overall, I had no issues, both new boots did great, and I'm super-happy. Before heading home I considered stopping by a grocery store or something just for the thrill of it, but decided to head home and not freak out my wife (that I went into a store in heels - maybe next time).

    Well done on the outing!

Size 9, you say? Maybe its UK size 9?
