Not going to be able to do any heeling for a while. My mom has been in poor health & she has taken a turn for the worst. I need to spend the weekends taking the place of my sister, who has been keeping mom company in the hospital, so she is not alone. It's been a rough year emotionally, so my return to wearing heels has been part of my effort to find joy where I can. It's been hard to watch the last of my families elders fade away like this. I don't want to face the holidays at this point, but I have to carry on the best I can...

Sorry to hear... Hope she recovers.

My mother in law will be moving in with us next month, for good it seems. Financially she just can't manage on her own anymore. And we can't afford her rent anymore either... So wondering what impact that will have on my home heeling too....

I feel for you buddy.  Chin up, as it seems you have anyway and try take care of yourself too.

I have some small racks set up in a spare closet, so I have the room. I think I have the styles I wanted so I am satisfied, for now . I have worn most of them at least once. About half my stash are sandals & sneakers. I wore those at 1st as I experimented with female shoes in public. I still wear the cute sneakers to work on casual Fridays. Wish I could wear heels to the office, but there are way too many men in the branch, so it would be problematic, but they don't seem to mind my nails, so who knows, I might try it once & see what happens...

    wow, nice setup at home.

You could always start with a low heel, unisex kind of look and see how that goes. Keep it up ;-) and keep us posted!

Seems to be a common refrain these days.  For years my wife was happy to wear whatever I bought for her.  She was never a shopper so she didn't mind me doing it for her and generally liked what I brought home.  Unfortunately, a nerve problem and her bad feet put a complete end to heel wearing - cannot even wear an attractive pair of flats these days. If not for the physical issues, she'd likely still wear some heels, but it seems like women are pretty much staying away from heels these days.  Too bad for us!  But I do enjoy wearing heels as well, and since she can no longer wear them, my desire to do so has increased.  Just wish I would have made my desires known to her years ago so I could enjoy it more often now.  Simply too late in life, and in a wrong position physically, to do so now.

I feel for ya. Not too far off here too.

Just came back from a short last-minute business trip. Didn't want to go, but decided to make the best of it. On the way to the airport, in the parking lot, swapped jeans to something longer than my "standard" jeans, and put on my 4" wedge boots, something like this:

    https://www.aldoshoes.com/us/en_US/women/footwear/boots/ankle-boots/Chomette-Black/p/12698452

Jeans would hide most of the shoe anyway. Was quite nervous at this point... Got on the train to the terminal, checked in, bought some food, and went to security. It was empty, so was able to go straight through. Before crossing the xray, the guy looked at me and asked me to show him my shoes. I was prepared for this, so casually showed him my shoes, and he asked me to walk through. Sat around waiting for the flight, but by this time I was quite comfortable in how I looked. The flight was short and uneventful. I had some space on the flight, so stretched out a bit, I'm sure the shoes were visible (upon arrival, did get some looks from the two guys across the aisle, but could have been my imagination). Out of the airport, into the taxi, then hotel. When I arrived, I was quite satisfied with myself. :) It wasn't too late in the evening, so changed into a 4" stiletto heel boots, and went out for a walk. When checking in, the hotel was empty of people, so I was expecting no audience when clicking along in the hotel lobby, but alas, no, a bunch of people were checking in... One lady did sort of a double-take as she nearly tripped into me (by this time I was comfortable with the heels, so just enjoyed her reaction, rather than let it bug me).Walked around outside for 20-30 minutes, exploring a bit before heading back.

The following day I again had an opportunity to go out, same stiletto boots. This time the lobby was pretty empty, and I spent about an hour walking around outside, exploring. It was after business hours, cold, so not a lot of people on the streets. Didn't want to go into any stores, but browsed. It was quite a lot of fun.

On the way home, I just relaxed as I didn't have a chance to wear my heels anyway... Overall, good trip!

Quite the trip! Sounds like you made the most of it, even though you didn't want to. Well done on the heeling!

@kneehighs when we first started dating I did let her know I liked women's shoes and that I had an interest in crossdressing. She had absolutely no animosity towards it. She encouraged it. She helped me do my first outing in public. She has purchased me insane boots and heels. She still does.

Lucky guy.  Great looking heels, by the way. Especially nice with the skinny jeans looks. @Lvemadomina also!

  6. Hi all.

Wow - almost 2 years since I opened this thread. and SO much has happened during this time. Some of you who I have been in touch with privately know its been a very difficult period for me, battling things on various fronts, but praise the good Lord, I can say that things are better now at home and I am more optimistic than before, and it gives me courage and strength to move forwards.

On the heeling front, things have definitely taken a bit of a blow while I focus on other things and avoid heeling to try minimize possible tensions. I continually visit the forum, and heel via you all ;-) So thanks for that!!!

Today I had a bit of quiet time and decided to break out a pair I bought from ASOS (almost 2 years ago, in fact) - a really great looking pair, and at £9 could not pass them up!  They have been in my cupboard (still in their box) and I have yet to wear them properly, I had previously only taken one out to try it on.

Missguided Barely There Ankle Tie Heels  - Nude colored faux suede - really soft to the touch. Size 8 UK and they fit quite well - even the strap on the bottom is not overly tight, which is something I often worry about with those style of sandal.  The bow looks quite large, not sure if overly so (I tied it myself!), but is very cute. (My wife has a similar style, but in flats).

The heel is a stiletto shape 5" (12cm) - absolutely fabulous looking... Platform is less than 1cm. They are delightful to wear, and I can walk in them slowly, and believe  that with more practice, could manage in them OK. And the rear zipper really adds some interest - love that feature, for the function and look!

PS: Excuse the wrinkled sheet below!

Interesting coincidence! Been looking at those boots for the past two weeks, hoping Size 11 would at some point be available up here in Canada. Didn't find it on Amazon/eBay either. :( They're gorgeous shoes!

I just saw this on Also's site:

For a limited time, ALDO is offering 20% off all regular price women’s and men’s boots. Offer is valid between November 7 and November 19, 2019, 11:59 PM (EST).

With the 30% off sale at Macy's I thought I would give these Jessica Simpson boots a try. Since they run small, I ordered an 11. They had up to size 12 on the website today.

Totally your style, Cali. Hope they come soon - and enjoy wearing them

Guys (and the occasional gal), I think I'm going to have to take a break from HHP for a while. I've got a special project coming up at work soon which will consume most of my waking hours. It's not like I'm swearing it off like a bad habit, I'll still be around, but I cannot allow myself to spend this time here every day as I have in the recent past. I shall miss you all for a little while. It's not all bad, I could really use some overtime before the holiday season. I shall miss my family as well. Luckily, it's for a finite amount of time.

Good luck mate, for the project and all. I find myself in a similar situation. see ya on the other side!

  10. I can fit into a size 10 sometimes, depending on the fit. I would especially make the effort if the boots looked like the ones you posted! They look great, hope you can find the size you need!
