I ran my own business for a few years and often would hit it hard in the evening. I could get a bunch of work done when everyone else was shutting down for the night. It was nice and peaceful, no distractions.

Same here. Though I am trying to take it a little easier now in the evening hours

    Yeah - i'm a US10-11, and a UK8-9, depending on the shoe

I tried to say hello and talk but he was busy selecting heels to try on.

I had my blue suede boots on and he seemed to have male shoes on.

His only comment was "You got to shop a sale." And he was off onto the next box.

    I was disappointed.

    oh well - you tried!

  4. Welcome (back), @jayteasee

Similar position to you... always loved heels (and boots mostly), and finally bought my own pair of high heel boots a few years ago. Those are gone via purge at some point... but there are many others since.  I still feel shame about it, and have not yet come to terms with it as some other folks around here. Like its "wrong" in some way. So we're in the same boat. I only heel at home, have only been out a few times, in flats. I have commented before, that I feel that should I be able to accept this part of myself, then others would as well, but that's not the case, so my wife has expressed her discomfort with it too. If I fully accepted this part of me, I would just wear them anyway, and she would probably learn to fully accept it

Anyway - great to have you back. Feel free to jump in and share your experiences, thoughts and pics if you will.

    Cheers!

Mainly a variety of boots, mostly booties or block heels.

Great - look forward to seeing them too!

Thanks, I didn’t do a great job aligning that one, but yes good spot, Jessica Simpson jinxxi.

they're great, I really like most of her styles - classic and sexy  look. I have a pair of wedges (ok, you got me, my wife's actually... but I think I have worn them more than she has!) very similar - a brown wedge, with double cross over straps. From Fioni - attaching below.

  6. @subtle - nice job on the photos. I wonder what the other half of your collection consist of? More of the same styles - or other styles?

I like your stiletto styles (whether pumps, d'orsay, sandals or peeps) and wedges.
By the way - in the sandals shot - is the 2nd left also a wedge?

I keep meaning to make a sorta "catalog" of my own heels as well, just as you have done. One day …

    Great job!

Never been a fan of such shoes. Too cheap looking, and yeah, the striper connection is too hard to break. Not my cup of tea.

same. no offence meant  to anyone of course!

  8. Aahhh. I get it. The angle is the same angle (4" with no platform and 6" with a 2" platform) but you still have the extra height below.

Well that's our male side kicking in ;-)

  9. Dear @LABHH

First of all - welcome!! When you have a chance, do post something short in the intro forum, so we can get to know you better :-)

I agree full heartedly with all those who posted above  - they practically took the words out of my mouth. But just to emphasize some of the points -

    1. yes - VERY courageous of you to open up to your wife about this. I remember my own experience - I was somewhat red in the face... and my heart beat was quite a bit faster than its usual pace! And that was after being married for about 15 years.... not sure how long you have been married for, but I am sure it was a bit of a shock for her, and it definitely took guts on your part - so well done! Try breach the subject again, in a calm surrounding, when you know your wife is relaxed, and try explain if its just the heels, or if it goes further than that or not (we don't know based on your post) - that may put her a little more at ease, if she understands if "just" that. Most folks might take a quick jump to full-on cross dressing or even further …   So the more you discuss it openly, the better.

    2. I respectfully disagree with my friend Pebbles -  not sure if showing her this site right now will calm her down, as there are all kinds of "flavours" of heeling here, and it may actually do the opposite for her. So I suggest giving this time.

    3. Again to strengthen what the others have said - go for something more conservative, and classic - assuming that's something you are happy with. Not that it will be any less feminine, but may take off the fetish look and feel and thereby make your wife feel a little more comfortable about it.

    4. YES - they are feminine and are indeed "not manly", and no matter how you dress them up, they have stilettos, and are "meant" for womens wear... There is no way getting around that in our current culture...  despite the many posts here about them being "my heels and not womens heels". But having said that - you have full right to decide what you want to wear, even if they are less masculine. But you may have to "pay a price" for that decision and you'll need to decide if its worth your while.

    5. I'd like to stress, that there are VERY few members here who enjoy full encouragement from their wives, for wearing heels. There are varied levels of "acceptance" and some guys have a pretty fair setup at home, but very few wives who really do enjoy/encourage their husbands to wear heels, or participate in it. I think that's a fairy tale that many of us would love to happen, but sadly it generally does not. So just wanted to make sure you don't set your hopes too high.

Other than that - re-read the posts above :-)

    Cheers!

All of us together we will make a difference.  BTW, I wore a pair of flat thigh high boots to a Trader Joe's the other day and had a great experience with them and they also are amazing to wear.  I have a few pair's of flat heeled boots to get ready for when I can't wear the heels....   :-)

Sounds good. Would love to see the styles

Well I’m back here again after a few weeks without a visit due to work commitments, I’m wearing my next western slouch boots over some proper skinny jeans, a few in this morning and nobody i recognise except the staff of course, a few casual looks but no more than that, sorry i can’t upload any pictures at the moment, every time i try i get a message saying i can only upload 501 kb and i must be on my limit, if anyone knows how to resolve this I’d appreciate the advice, thanks

    Hope you enjoyed the outing!

re the limit - I think its the limit of the upload image to the forum.  you'll need to reduce the size/weight (on your phone)  before uploading.
