    Thank you Lads,

Well I no longer work in shoe shop full time. (I am there for part-time... its more of when they need me they call me otherwise i am not there sort of deal).
Last time I had them I had trousers over as I do not have any trousers that can fit in well and not cause problems.
But also these boots have the top part separable which allows you to wear them as ankle boots. And I do that slighty more often.

I am personally not sure about the no comments. Maybe people just do not care. I know for a fact they do notice. I mean you cannot miss me walking in these on wooden or tile floor.

so true - you will not be able to miss that lovely click-clock of the heels...

I have seen this kind of boot, where the shaft is removable. I think on Ali Express and other Chinese sites. Does it work well, or just a gimmick?

  2. Well done @Krystof thanks for keeping us posted. Great you are doing so well in these two areas!

I'm also interested why you haven't received any comments, but I assume that's a good thing!

How do you wear these lovely boots? Covered by your pants, or do you tuck them into the boots?

Do you still have time to work at the shoe shop?

We live in a golden time where we can find what we want & expect that we can actually wear them.

Would love a pair of Louboutin pumps...

Funny, never really had motivation to get a pair (not that I could afford it anyway!)

Sure, the pumps are run of the mill black patent, except these fit. These are the wedges I found. Also, EEEEK! I have spiders in my house!

Not sure about the spiders.... but these wedges are great! Totally my style too!

Hello again. So I cannot edit to avoid double post but when I was submitting the topic I was expected a nice pair of black boots not too high and plateform max to maximize comfortability.

So since that time I have chosen:  https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/32826016949.html

They have a heel of 3,54 inches but the platform should be enough tall. They look like  a little too femina with the platform.  That last is 2,5 inches. I guess this would be great to walk.

But a little detail about the fact is I wear insoles. Leather and ratin(soft black material and white below).  My size would be 8.5.  I think they will just fit but it will hurt in a short time like squeeze? I may order a 9. I do not know. Into my naturalizer black pumps I wear a 9W.

The black boots I had ordered 3.94 heel inches and platform 0.98 inches. So 3.94 inches is about 10 cm and with (3.94-0.98) 2.96 for 7.5 cm

I cant wear 7.5 and more high.

Those boots look nice, mate. and you should be able to walk in them very easily, what with the platform and stable heel.

    Enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up about Nordstrom Rack. I have one I drive by all the time & never thought to try them. Was a good excuse to break in my new winter boots, so i stopped by after getting my nails done. Found a pair of Sam Edelman black patent stilletos at half off & a pair of charles david wedges for 14 bucks. A nice lady asked me where I got my boots & we ended up trying on shoes together. The check out girl raved over my nails. That was so fun, best shopping experience i have had...will definitely be stopping by once a month from now on.

    Lucky you!

Don't forget to share some pics of your good deals!

Love the color too.  We'll done. I have a pair of stiletto booties in this color too, love them

There is something about thar color of gray boots that I find attractive.  Perhaps it is because we went to a Prince concert one weekend back in the late 70’s - early 80’s (can’t remember exactly) and he was wearing a pair.  The following week my wife purchased a pair of gray, thigh high boots with 4” stiletto heels for me.

    Lucky guy!

I also recall a teacher of mine in 1st grade having knee high stiletto boots in this color.  Loved them!

Latest update on my 10 year old son: To briefly recap for those of you who didn't read the other post, my 10 year old is only a size smaller than me now, and he decided he was going to try on some of my lower heels, discovered he could actually walk in them, and then proceeded to wear them all weekend, much to his mama's dismay.

Now a few weeks have gone by, and he has worn heels around the house a couple of times, but doesn't really seem all that interested, which is probably good in the end. I did just buy him a new pair of trainers! One thing I couldn't help noticing is that the women's shoes (which are the exact same style, exact same model name as the men's and boys') came in 53,486 colors, whereas the men's and boys' came in 3 colors. I'd be buying from the women's section, but he wanted.  .  . wait for it.  .  . BLACK. So no cross referencing was necessary.

    Thanks for the update!

    And I totally hear  you

  12. I have made  a similar journey to you, @JeffB.  Never liked them much, till I saw a cute pair with stiletto heels, and since then have 'seen the light' and have a few pairs now. They have the added benefit of being easy to put on and off and wear as well, when wearing jeans or trousers.  Knee highs though will always be my favorite!

I never could see the sense of calf-high boots. I wear boots almost exclusively and love 'em  - either ankle height (hiking boots etc) or knee/otk height. Calf boots seem neither fish nor fowl

Agreed. I think they look a bit off too...

Even ankle height boots took me a while to start liking..

  14. Short story to add.  My wife and I took a day off work for some together time, left the kids in the care of their grandmother for the night. On the second day my wife wanted to browse a thrift store for some good deals, and indeed bought a couple of items.  I saw a few rows of ladies shoes and wanted to browse, and slowly worked on my courage to do so. The store was empty, but still was a little shy of the store keeper, but found my moment at some point that she was distracted.  Unfortunately, the pair of cute wedge sandals, stilleto boots and some other nice pairs were not a relevant size for me... they also were not priced so we'll.... Oh well.  Would have been fun to convince my wife i needed them!

One small step for many of you guys, one huge leap for me.

With temperatures in the 90's today, it's still short season here on the edge of the Pacific. So I channeled my inner Elvis and wore my blue suede knee high boots to work, with blue shorts and a blue shirt.

This outfit - shorts and boots -  is one that I stress over going out in public since it is obvious I am wearing heels. But it is also a very fun outfit to pull off. I wish I had the guts to wear this type of outfit more often than I do. I love showing my knee high boots (and my legs).

I had a middle aged black woman stop me to tell me she loved the outfit especially the boots. And in the same breath told me she loves to wear heels but can only for 2 or 3 hours- how do you do it?

This picture was taken after a 14 hour day.

    I Like the boots!

My two teenage kids have both known from a very young age that their dad does things different than most dads. They have seen me at various times over the years wearing short-shorts, leggings / skinny jeans (which were more controversal to wear 5-10 years ago when virtually every guy was wearing rather loose fitting pants and shorts below their knees, etc) ... I wear mid-height heels most days of the week, my toe nails are always painted, shaved legs, and many other things considered feminine.

I have tried to not to take things too far in front of them, and especially if they have friends around, I totally switch back to a more socially acceptable appearance.  I don't want any of their friends to tease them.  I have gotten a few innocent questions over the years asking why I do this or that, but for the most part, they have come to just accept, this their dad I suppose.

Sounds very well balanced. and very caring of them too. Sometimes I think after reading stuff here that folks don't mind throwing them into the deep-end on this issue, to stand up for what we might think is rihht. But which is a little selfish... or even cruel (not saying that anyone here has done that!)

So I bought these beauties from Poshmark yesterday, and we will see how they look when they arrive. They are from Aldo and look like the style on their site called ‘Naedia’, which is normally $130, and a pair I had already been eyeing.

They look great, keep us posted!
