They are 7.5 inches high including the platform and walking in them is absolutely no issue whatsoever. I got them from Hot Heels Shop Poland. I did a video walking in them as well, and you can hear my knees snap 3 minutes in just from kneeling. That's actually fairly impressive, considering how steep these are! I'm not a big snakeskin guy, and I'm not necessarily a big platform guy, but I kind of like these shoes anyway. "Walking in them is absolutely no issue. . ." I think maybe your definition of "walk" and mine are a bit different, but as long as you're having fun! 1 1
Puffer Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 What size and what is the exact heel height and platform thickness, please? I see that the supplier quotes a global 15cm (5.91") and 4cm (1.57") - giving a net rise of 11cm (4.33"), although they do vary with size. Your heels do not look as high as 7.5".

Detail on Giaro website for size Eu41 is heel 165mm (6.5") and platform 39mm (1.54"), giving net rise of 125mm (4.96"). Is that what you have; the shoes do look to be about that in their proportions and more walkable than your original dimensions suggested.

mlroseplant Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 (edited) I bought yet another pair of Steve Madden pumps, model Daisie. I bought them because they were purple. Only once I got them, they were only purple-ish. I don't know what color you would call this, but I wore them for the first time today, with pink and salmon attire. I don't really have anything purple to wear with these shoes. As you can see from the picture, they are tall, but not super tall, coming in at 4 3/8". The heels are super skinny, though. Shyheels Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 I’d call us a kind of mauve - one if my favourite colours. Nice find!
Puffer Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Lilac maybe? Not too easy to see with glossy patent but it has a lilac/pink hue.
Cali Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 I called them mauve before seeing others responce.
Mr. X Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 Here are my latest purchase. I got these in a thrift shop for under $20. If Dorothy's ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz were turned into a pair of high heels, it would be these. They are Aldo brand. The heel measures 5 1/2" with a hidden platform. 1
Shyheels Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 They’re certainly cheaper than Dorothy’s Ruby slippers! Did you see they sold for $28 million the other day?
Mr. X Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 @Shyheels Yes, I remember hearing something about Dorothy's shoe sale.
Mr. X Posted January 3 Posted January 3 My latest. The brand is Betsy Johnson. The heel measures 4 1/4". And they are covered in different sized square sequins 1
mlroseplant Posted January 5 Posted January 5 My latest purchase is these pumps by Shoe Republic LA. Some off-brand made-up name, I suppose. I bought them because they were advertised as having a 5 inch heel, they were 20 bucks, and I thought, "Well, let me see if I can learn to walk in them." As is so often the case, most people are not hung up on extreme accuracy with such things, and it turns out that the heels are a mere 4 3/4", making them only nominally higher than all of the Steve Madden pumps I already have of that ilk. The width of the heel is definitely on the narrow side, being slightly less than 5/16" or 8 mm. Despite my initial disappointment with the absolute height of the heel, I tried them on and walked around in them for a little while, and I think they're going to be all right. They are about the smallest, tightest shoes I'd ever want to consider actually wearing outside, but I think they will probably straighten up and fly right eventually. Once my toes uncurled inside the shoes they didn't feel too bad. The question is, where am I ever going to wear them? They are outlandish enough that I'm not really sure. 3
Shyheels Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Yes the steepness seems higher than even 5”. As you say a bit hard to wear around and about
Mr. X Posted January 5 Posted January 5 (edited) Nice shoes either way @miroseplant Edited January 5 by Mr. X
Puffer Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Nice-looking shoes; I would scarcely call them 'outlandish'. Indeed, they are imho less extreme than some of your other footwear, and in a colour that you appear to favour. I expect you will soon picture them as part of a co-ordinated outfit!
5150PLB1 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Those shoes are not outlandish at all. They are quite suitable for office wear with a red pant suit or skirt suit. They might even be OK to be worn to a wedding or a liberal church, with the right dress.
mlroseplant Posted January 6 Posted January 6 In light of the comments, perhaps I'll have to give them another spin. I was talking with one of my fashionista friends, and she suggested that they be used as a pop of color in an otherwise conservative outfit. She would be a much better judge of such things than I am. As a complete aside, the poor thing broke her hand a few days ago, making getting dressed at all, much less stylishly, a bit of a challenge. 1
