When the time comes (not that I think it's going to be soon) I think this is the option I'm going to try and wear around my girlfriend. Either that or the wedge boots I have so you cant see the heel unless your looking for where the sound is coming. 1

balletboot Posted October 21, 2020 Author Posted October 21, 2020 They are harder to spot as being heels but they just might be my loudest pair when walking. Of course that's fine with me but it might "draw to much attention for her" only time will tell. I hope I can talk her into going somewhere when we both are wearing heels for her to see that no one really cares. 2
RonC Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 If they are really loud, a shoe repair shop can attach a quieter heel pad, which should quell any additional concern on her part about the noise. It will be a muffled clomp rather than a click.
balletboot Posted October 22, 2020 Author Posted October 22, 2020 Yea I know it wouldn't be hard to quiet them down. I like them the way they are but if it comes down to that I will have to swap them out for some quieter heel pads 1
Cali Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 Tell her it called the "power click", yes some men's shoe click louder than some of my heels. 2
Shyheels Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 Quite true - a pair of men;'s brogues with a leather sole and the standard men's shoe heeel can click quite loudly on a hard floor. 1
balletboot Posted October 22, 2020 Author Posted October 22, 2020 I dont have anything like that. But I've definitely heard the heel click to turn around expecting to see some gorgeous heels only to be disappointed by some mens flats.. 1 2

RonC Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Yeah, Nordstrom Rack in my area is also becoming rather barren. Not sure what is going on there. Very few heels.

Very few heels. Very few anything.. even the clothing racks are all 20ft apart and half empty. It was definitely strange to walk into
spikesmike Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 balletboot : Just a couple of places I think would good to try is ( Onlymaker ) and (FSJ ). I have purchased several pair of high heels from them with great satisfaction. Good for you on your outings. Mike P.S. These are FSJ shoes I think. 2
balletboot Posted October 24, 2020 Author Posted October 24, 2020 There are a few I've seen on onlymaker that I like but I'm also trying not to buy alot right now since the subject is still not on great terms with my girlfriend
crossfire238 Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 I hit NR So Po and OMG bare. Shelves that were 5-6 high had only 2-3 rows on them. Clothes racks sit empty off to the side....

CHRISPAP Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Both are not easy to wear in public (well for me it's easier to wear boots) congratulations

But it was a random 70 degree day so I took it as one last chance for other shoes before the snow hits
Popular Post balletboot Posted December 31, 2020 Author Popular Post Posted December 31, 2020 It's been awhile since I've posted. Been a very busy last few months at work. Managed to get out today wore my aldo boots to do alittle shoping/errands. I hope I will have more time for heels next year! Considered wearing these instead but I was liking the boots more for how much walking I had to do! 11

I found it works quite nicely and all I need to do is swap shoes. Sadly, don't go to the office too much nowadays. Need a new coat too, something slimming, like a peacoat ...
