mlroseplant Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 OK, I probably shouldn't call it an "outfit," as it's just a normal men's suit worn with some awfully nice Aldo heeled oxfords. Now that it is coming up on two years that I've been heeling publicly, and I realized that I hardly ever wear flats any more, I decided to let the hems out of almost all of my dress pants in order to look better with high heels, and I'm very happy with this improvement. I wore this suit to Easter services today, and I received a compliment on my tie. Go figure. This is one of a very, very few times that I've worn stilettos out. Maybe I should start doing it more often. By the way, that round thing in my pocket is the lens cap to the camera. It took me a while to figure out what the heck that was.
SleekHeels Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 That's the best-looking combination of a men's suit and heels I've ever seen. The compliment on the tie just goes to show how well integrated the whole look comes across. Top marks sir ! If you like it, wear it.
Steve63130 Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Yes, very well done! Thanks for sharing! Steve

radiodave Posted April 21, 2014 Posted April 21, 2014 Very nice! Those seem to look very natural with that outfit.

I always like to wear heels with a suit and or sports coat. Today, Easter was no different. I wore dark tan, suit coat, light tan dress pants, medium blue dress shirt with color co-ordinated tie and pocket square. For shoes I wore a pair of "Tahari" brown patent, croco, loafer pumps with a 3-1/2" stacked heel. I did get a couple of compliments on my look today. Happy Easter to all my fellow Heelers. Happy Heeling, bluejay
ilikekicks Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I wish I could pull off a suit a quarter as well as you did! Bravo to you!-ILK REPEATEDLY ARGUMENTATIVE, INSULTING AND RUDE. BANNED FOR LIFE.
Mr. X Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Another example of how heels on a man can look great if done properly. Well done!
mlroseplant Posted April 22, 2014 Author Posted April 22, 2014 Thanks to everyone for all the compliments. It really means a lot to me. I bought these shoes because they look quite similar to the men's oxfords I've worn for years, except with a high heel. I think they may actually look better than the thicker heeled shoes I normally wear with my suits. Maybe I'll have to take some pictures someday to compare and contrast.
AZShoeNut Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 I wish I could pull off a suit a quarter as well as you did! Bravo to you! -ILK I thought the same thing as ILK. Mlroseplant, you are one sharp looking fellow. Best, Larry Life is short... Wear the bleeping shoes!
Heelster Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Now that looks like it was designed to go together. Very well done. Hey ILK - -don't feel bad. - been so long since I wore a suit - - - I wore a tux at my wedding - - '86
HappyinHeels Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 mlroseplant- Well, I'll be damned if that doesn't look good on you! I think many of us have wondered how a guy would look in a suit with high heels on and how it would come across and I must say with no hesitation, "Iowa has one sharp-dressed man". Maybe I'll wear something like that to the next ZZ Top concert I go too . Thanks for showing us. HappyinHeels

jetheelsfan Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 That looks fantastic - congratulations Just a bit higher to to delight - low enough for healthy foot comfort and great beginning.
mlroseplant Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 Given all the positive comments, I know for sure which shoes I will be wearing with my tux for tomorrow night's performance with my community orchestra. For last fall's concert, I wore some oxfords with a much thicker and lower heel. I'll try to post a photo, but it may be somewhat awkward to get someone to take a picture of me with the sole purpose of showing my shoes, so don't count on it.
mlroseplant Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Not much of a picture, but my wife admits to being a poor photographer. The concert went well, anyway (better than it had any right to), and I had the highest heels in the orchestra.
mtnsofheels Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Great stories and photos "miroseplant", you pair them very well with your outfits.Your are an inspiration!
