Tried something different for me when I went out to lunch today. Now that the redness from the waxing has subsided I decided to test the waters by wearing shorts & exposing my legs to daylight for the 1st time in years. Was a quick one as I got it to go. There were two young ladies waiting for their order as well, & one complimented my sandals & the other my nails. Had a nice chat until our orders arrived. I'm calling it a success. I wore a top from Long Tall Sally, shorts from Aeropostal, & mauve sandals from Universal Thread. I just wasn't sure how I looked with heels, so I played it safe with sandals. I was thinking of wearing my mid height heels with this outfit as a compromise. Heels are rare enough in my area as it is, but I can say I have never seen a woman wearing heels with shorts, so I was hesitant to do it. I know some of you guys are practitioners of heels & shorts, any thoughts on the matter?

I think you made a good call with the flats. Looks very natural. Well done.

Nice looking sandals. I like the bling on them.

    Happy Heeling,

Thanks BJ.  Good to hear from you.  They seem to be this odd outdoor camping style heel combination.  Odd, but so... Intriguing?

Your comments are appreciated as I certainly know your style and attitude ;-)

  3. Hiya all!

Hope all's well with y'all. Have been off the forum for a few months... you know, lock down, kids home, work stuff, moving offices, vacation and all ….  I certainly missed some of the banter that goes on around here, and the feeling of a bit of a community built around our little hobby / way of life.

Nothing much new by me in the realm of heels...  but toying with buying a few pairs now. Have hardly the opportunity to heel at all right now, so wondering whether I can justify the cost... after all, money doesn't grow on trees anymore.

Will just paste some heels I showed my wife recently - I saw them on ASOS, and they looks a little ridiculously attractive… know what I mean?? My wife expressed some interest in them (for her!), and said the right outfit needs to be found to match. Not much to worry about when wearing them at home though ;-)

Hoping to hear from all you gang I used to be in touch with... Pls do reply and comment

    cheers!

My wife and I went shoe shopping Saturday. She is accepting of my "interest" in Heels and we looked for both of us. I bought a lovely pair of Micheal Kors pumps, regular price $109, on the discount rack, on sale for $38, and we both bought a pair of Jessica Simpson Zelta strappy heel sandals, regular price $100, on sale for $15!! I still don't have the nerve to try on in the store, but we talked about it Saturday.

Bought a pair of these boots recently and they should be with me this week. I hear that they still fit a UK7 if the shoe is a size smaller. Is that right?

It has been a few days and I can say I am in love with these shoes! I have been wearing them everyday, Sunday from morning until bedtime and they are super comfortable. I have other shoes I wear a lot, but these kick butt as far as comfort.

Really nice. especially with the skinny jeans

Hello , hope everyone is in great spirits and health . Being stuck at home and not many places to go . I decided to do some window shopping online and found these . They come in black and blush . Unfortunately they were sold out of black , the color that goes with everything . After stewing over them a few days and the fact they went on sale , I ordered them in the blush . WOW , what a great shoe it only took Torrid three weeks to get them to me , given everything that is going on , three weeks was a lot faster than expected .  They are a little wider at the sole than other espadrilles in my collection , making daily wear a dream . The toe box has plenty of room . I ordered a size smaller than I normally wear . Generally a size 12 wide is a perfect fit as of late Torrid and Comfortview shoes work better in size 11 wide . Please excuse the link , not to tech savvy .Be safe everyone .

Love these wedges. Certainly fashionable style right now, and am sure they are super comfy.  Enjoy!!

I just ordered the last pair of size 10 from 6pm.  Marc Fisher Unella in croco print brown.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvjvBmXyBxA

Still a bit much but I have had my eye on this style since last fall and they dropped in price.  They had the black for $40 less but I really like this color and have too many black boots.

Sometimes those chance purchases turn out to be real winners, my Kurt Geiger were in that category and i've hardly taken them off. Whereever they came from your boots look fabulous.

Funny story, been looking for some flat (i know it flys in the face of commen sense) otk boots and while looking came across a pair of out-of-this-world Guiseppe Zanotti wedges. Long story short, ended up buying the wedges, not the boots . Still on the look out for the boots.

No idea when they'll arrive, or even if they will in this climate, but hopefully will be able to post real pics in the near future, fingers crossed.

Looking forward to seeing both your purchases.... Wedges and boots!

A good friend of mine and I have one matching pair of sandals. We have never worn them together, other than for this picture, and we never will. It would cause way more trouble than it's worth. Too bad.

Why do you say they would cause trouble?

Thats a question of training, i walk in heels every day. My first pair 30 years ago had 14cm and i don‘t go under 12cm, mostly. Sooner or later I was able to walk in real high heels. Walking on 15 or 16cm is a challenge but doable and I enjoy it.

    Heels of today,

basically I ordered them (customized wedges) for the reason to wear them at the beach or public swimming pool.

but they are perfect for home office as well :-)

Wow love these wedges.  Would love to see some more pics of them. Sounds like you have a great home work setup ;-)
