What is your favorite brand of jeans? I liike silver jeans and second yoga jeans. They are both from canada. I'm not sure if they sell them in other countries. Second yoga jeans are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn. I have them in skinny flare. They are perfect under kneehigh boots.

- Wide cut: Laurel, Taifun (I guess both German brands)

- For flared: Escada

- For bootcut: Lee, model "Denver"

- For straight cut: Paddock's, model "ranger"

- For skinny I've got two: Laura Scott (brand from a German mail order catalogue) and Dr. Denim. What Levi's claims to be skinny isn't really that much of a skinny jeans, I think.

I've got so many jeans (most of them black and blue) in different lengths (for different heel heights) that I have printed out little paper tags that I put up in front of them. Here's 50 % of my current jeans stock:

I still need to find a better way of keeping them ordered, as the paper gets torn too easily...

Jeans...hmm, truth be told,Uniforms aren't really my cup of tea. However I do have a couple of pairs I wear around the house in winter which probably should be in a thrift shop.

The only one from Levi's was he now defunct EX-GirlFriend jean. I still have a pair when I'm slumming it, holes and all and a super skinny fit.

Over the last few years I have tended toward jeans sold in women's clothing stores: Ann Taylor, LOFT, The Limited, etc. and Banana Republic and JCrew. What attracts me to these brands is they are fairly high quality and can be inexpensive when found on clearance. I usually never pay more than $20 for jeans, Also, the come in a variety of cuts specific for body style, all the latest trends, and colors. I think I have a virtual rainbow of colored skinny jeans and even some patterns.

I would say Miss Sixty...I've got a pair that's almost 14 yrs old and still make the job. Best fitting for me is a replica of the Victoria Beckham's rock pebublic jeans. Got them in China for a ridiculous price and they fit fanstasically. If no other choice availabe I would go for the boot-cut levis. If any money to spare.

Levis have a new pair of jeggings coming out next month. They are supossed to feel like tights. Perfect for under tall boots.

I like "Merona" from Target and their six different "fit by number" jeans which makes it easy to find the right fit. I also like "Denizen" available at Burlington Coat Factory among others as well as the jeans at Macy's and Lane Bryant. The first two stores have jeans at a very reasonable price and the second two are more expensive. The benefit of the Macy's and Lane Bryant is in their fitting rooms. There is no checking tags or any of that sophomoric nonsense so they are more condicive to our members for trying on things. I frequently either wear heels into such such stores or take a pair of heels in a bag with me if I believe I may be buying jeans which then gives me a pretty good look at how the pants of jeans will look. I'm definitely at the "value" end of the market. For bootcut jeans my favourites are from Peacocks (£12): post-12051-0-81010100-1377160997_thumb.jpost-12051-0-00986800-1377161026_thumb.j They sit really comfortably on the waist and hips and have a nice shape to them. These are from a couple of years ago and have the stitch detailing on the pockets. Their current version just has plain pockets, presumably cost-cutting to stay at their price-point but I'd rather pay an extra £1 and have the stitching. It's enough to make me hold off buying and look elsewhere. I also have some bootcut jeans from New Look (these in black, and also the same pair in white), and they're also a great fit, and the material has a nice soft-texture and not too thin. post-12051-0-35133900-1377161386_thumb.j I find it's just trial and error, I have to shop around and try on lots of different styles and maybe 1 in 10 will have the right combination of fit and styling for me to buy. If that's true for bootcut, it's even more so for skinny jeans. I don't have the best legs for skinnies but my favourites so far are from Peacocks: post-12051-0-43155000-1377161753_thumb.jpost-12051-0-86578800-1377161758_thumb.j The black pair are a little long and bunch towards the ankle, but I've seen that look out-and-about and I quite like it (whether I pull it off or not is another matter). In any case, I think too long is definitely better that too short. With skinny jeans I actually like the look with flats as well as heels, but for bootcut it has to be heels.

If you like it, wear it.

Well for like I have been in 1921 jeans which fit nicely, however they have gone by the wayside.

Recently I have gotten 2 pairs of True Religion Jeans and are now my favorites.

"Becky" a boot cut was exceptional.

I normally take a 29 inch inside leg with jeans, but if I'am going to wear heels it has to be 27 inch inside leg so at least my heels can be seen.

I do not understand this reasoning at all. If you are wearing the proper inseam now, it is correct for any heel height. Do your legs somehow get shorter when you wear heels?

No my legs do not get shorter, but If I am going to wear heels I like to show them off, so I wear a shorter jean so that they fit just above my heels with the heel on full display. A 29 inch leg is ok with normal flat heels, so if I am going to be a guy in heels why not show them off at the end of the day (sorry for the pun) I think that's what people like me and many others want to do, why wear heels if you do not want people to notice.

The point I'm trying to make is that if the inseam falls to the top of the heel with a low heel it will also fall to the top of the heel with a high heel. It's basic geometry.

Not in my case my normal jeans just touch the floor (well not quite) if I wear heels then maybe 1-2 inches will show, not enough for me I want the whole heel to show so my jeans finish about 1 inch above my heels so the whole ankle boot is on show heel and all, if not why bother wearing high heels at all.

Being a heel wearing man I thought you would see my point, if not why wear heels at all.

I agree. I want my heels to show. I'm not trying to hide them, at all, that's why I like to wear ankle length jeans, so my whole heel is showing.

Personally I agree that shorter length jeans can be great for showing off heels, but that would work best with tapered or straight-leg jeans. With bootcut styles I think short would look a bit strange, and I prefer longer bootcuts that cover about half of the heel height when standing (and reveal all the heel height when sitting). I guess short skinny jeans would work too, although I do see the slightly bunched skinny-jeans look around too and that can look ok, either with heels or even ballet flats. If I'm wearing my bootcut jeans and change from heels to flats, I have to roll up the jeans a little to avoid them touching the floor - I don't really like roll-ups but it's better than scuffing the jeans and easier than carrying a shorter pair of extra jeans around.

If you like it, wear it.

Well, I guess I am partial to super tight levis.   But, proper fit and length is the most important thing.  The right jeans can make or break the look when it comes to heels/boots.
