Maximilian
The last pair of boots I've bought were the most expensive purchase. I paid 500 USD (including shipping) for a pair of over the knee brown leather Giuseppe Zanotti boots with a 3 inch heel. That was the online price. Retail price is around 820 USD so it's quite a bargain. The boots are awesome by the way, love them!
JeffB
OK, I am now the proud owner of these: http://www.brownsfashion.com/product/designers/womenscollections/fashion/christianlouboutin/89351.htm They are the most expensive shoes I now own at £450 ($900). They arrived today (good timing as I am having a tidy up) and they are more gorgeous than I could ever have imagined. Holy Moley! $900.00? That's almost a whole paycheck for me! Whew! Still, those are nice, and I hope you enjoy them. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!

These are not shoes, but art. I'm not into pumps/court shoes, and especially don't like peep-toes. But these really are very well done. £450 ($900) for a piece of art is not too bad, is it? pumpedup
$900 in a single paycheck? wow! it takes 2 of my paychecks to make $900!! Having said that, i don't know if i would pay that much for a pair of shoes or boots from Louboutin or Blahnik or any other brand. They would have to be quite beautiful and sexy to pay so much for them.

pumpedup
I don't think i will spend very much for pumps. I am eyeing a couple of pair that are in the $100.00(US) range, which i've never paid for a pair of pumps before. One pump is called "Bijou" and it's made by Report Signature. They were going for about $140.00(US), and i recently found them for $80.00(US). Here is a pic. I love the laces on the vamp! http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o47/pumpedup_2007/bijoubaby.jpg The other pump is called "Rachel" by Miss Sixty. Here's a pic of those, too. The color is what strikes me. Very nice violet! http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o47/pumpedup_2007/rachelbaby.jpg
Cinnamon
If the money is to hand, and I love something enough, then the price ticket becomes an irrelevancy to me. Terrible I know. With my poker face, I think the staff of many of the Bond Street shops think I'm a millionaire hehe. So, recent purchases: Louboutin Forever Tina in black suede £820 http://features.elleuk.com/accessories-autumn-winter-2008/images/photos/acc112.jpg Louboutin C'est Moi booties (in Cadbury's purple suede) about £400 http://cache.net-a-porter.com/images/products/33440/33440_in_xl.jpg Gucci Tattoo Heart Unicef campaign wedges £440 http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml?itemId=prod70170035 Agent Provacateur £260 http://independent.net-genie.co.uk/siteimage/scale/800/600/14359.jpg Those were the more expensive ones... others tended to come in at under £100 and came from places like Office or Aldo. Before my recent spree, I spent £200 on a pair of Miu Miu's. I haven't got a picture, but will try to get one soon
Stilettoscot
My Aldo Tequila and Guess Oxfords both ran about $100. I recently ordered a pair of awsome V16SA'a from 6ihf for about $160...can't wait for them to come in. Walking in ultra-highs because it's exciting...and it is!! roz
I think they're Tributes but I must admit I didn't realise it at the time. I was looking at these Tributes: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=1002519 I decided against them in the end as I didn't like the way the sole flicked out slightly. Incidentally, anybody who likes those should maybe look out for the suede and patent versions in Aldo.

I love the way the sole flicks out, and the stepped platform, it's an amazing style and they're amoungst my favourite shoes. I didn't like the peeptoes you posted at first but they've really really grown on me. Guess used to do great Tribute copies too, not sure if they still sell them. CassieJ
If YSL had carried the tributes with the closed toe in 42 I would have boght them at $720. londonpaul
crikey - haven't posted on year for years. hello everyone I'm ashamed to say that over the years I have bought my girlfriend probably 50-100 pairs of shoes, all of which were stupidly pricy. Most expensive was probably a couple of pairs over £1,000 which were snakeskin from manolo. Bloody expensive habit - wish my fetish was for something cheaper like bacon sandwitches - ah well..... mtnsofheels
Glad you brought this post up again troipattes. Interesting question, once a person is faced with purchasing or wishing to purchase a pair of boots/shoes/heels. Since last Nov I have purchased a pair of boots from Jean Gaborit that where, I have to admit-480euro. They have been very worth while and plan to do more before I check out myself, its not the cost but the value in which a style or maker brings with a pair that you purchase. That is shopping and how one goes about it, and that is the fun/exciting part about heels and heeling! Problem is we just want to keep doing that shopping as London Paul has stated, hoping for bacon sandwiches. Mtnsofheels
Dawn HH
LondonPaul:-) Glad to see that you are back with us again. Welcome back. I haven't bought any shoes or boots nearly that expensive. I tend to shop the sales in the stores and catalogs. Sometimes I can't get the color that I want because it is sold out when the sales begin or not in my size, but that is the chance that you take. Being that my size is within the normal ladies sizees, I have a much better chance of color and choice. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever! Bootking
It has to be the Little Shoe Box thigh high boots. I have two pairs, one black patent leather (real) and one leather front lace ups (no zipper). There were a few hundred dollars per pair. It's all about the heel! pussyinboots
Most expensive?? My White Ballet Thighboots by 'Redheel' which were nearly £250.00, a pair of very rare 'Highest Heel' Leopard mules with clear PVC vamp - which I ended up winning on EBay for £165.00 - and my 'Little Shoe Box' 6.5" Black Strappy sandals which again, were a second-hand buy (but unworn in their box) at £175.00. 2sweetkittys
The most I ever shelled out for any heels was a pair of boots that I bought after my first year of graduate school (reward for passing with flying colors!). They were a pair of Calvin Kleins that cost me $695. Those boots remained my favorite for some years until I returned to the US and discovered ebay. (Don't know if that's a good or bad thing since I've bought so much stuff I really don't need...) As such, I've never paid more than $400 for a pair of heels--and at that probably only for 3 or 4 pairs of boots. I recently just got a pair of burgundy patent Oscar de la Renta's that got reduced from $1245 to $319. For shoes, I've never paid more than $175. My best bargains were a pair of RL python sandals reduced from $1100 to 150, purple suede RL heels from $600 to $58, and Delman's from $325 to $30. (All brand new too...)
