at9 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Just ordered these in the DM sale: http://store.drmartens.co.uk/p-3409-dee.aspx My DM clogs in UK9 with similar heel/sole fit perfectly so I expect these boots to fit well. stilettopete Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Just got these boots the other day. Now my favourite heels. Mainly because they are very comfortable. A nice 4" heel. And they're great for public outings of which there have been several lately in these very boots "You put high heels on and you change" M. Blahnik

DProud2700 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Went to Macy's the other day and found a pair of Jessica Simpson "Aura" boots. They have a 5" heel and 1.5" platform. Quite a boot to wear.

newheeler Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Not going to be any easy style to coordinate for public heeling. Haha, maybe at home i don't have any problems, yet. Been wearing them for couple of hours. Don't worry, be happy - in heels!
Walkonit Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I was looking for a high black suede ankle boot and got the last size 41 of this edgy version from Carvela in the sales from Amazon. I'm not disapointed as they are stylish, fit me well and are actually pretty comfortable for such a boot. The heel is higher than expected measuring a full 6 inches at the back in size 41 ! I've been noticing this style of heel for some time now on quite a few shoes and boots and have been itching to try a pair out. It has quite a bit of flex but dosn't seem to be a problem when walking and I suppose can be expected in such a high stiletto. With the 3 cm platform the boots really let me know I'm strutting a major stiletto and it feels great ! Some of my other boots feel almost flat after wearing these. Not so taken with the sock feature & will probably and keep it hidden under jeans. I expected the zip on the outside to be a non-functioning feature, but it is actually a working zip that makes it a bit trickey to get into the boot. Still need to take them out for a longer walk in town and see how much attention they attract :-) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005GTI0AM/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=103612307&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0050N3WIE&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_r=1S4JW89G6CW3H5QA04R4
Jinx Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Walkonit, those ankle boots are gorgeous! I found low'ish everyday boots from sales. Two quick pics from my mobile...
jwhite44 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Nice boots. And cool that your review made it to Amazon!
Steve63130 Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Glad they published the review, but in my opinion it would have been better if you had mentioned that you're a male and that you like heels. I think it's important to let the suppliers (and other customers) know who's buying high heels. Steve

It would be intereting to see if they remove the review or if they are open minded.
Walkonit Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Hmm maybe I will try this. It would be intereting to see if they remove the review or if they are open minded. I've updated the review and mentioned specifically that I'm a guy. Hopefully they will re-publish it. We will see.
Steve63130 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Yes! They published it and my compliments to you for taking my advice seriously. Good going! In my experience, and this is shared with a lot of guys here, mentioning that you're a guy (and I like your term "fashion forward guy") will usually not stop a well-crafted review, even if it's not a totally favorable review, as long as it's fair, analytical, and balanced. Your review supports this. Your comment about being a guy is just right, there is nothing the shoe company would consider inappropriate (like mentioning fetish or cross dressing or using inappropriate language) and it obviously did not kill the chances of the review being published. Bravo! Steve
danielp6406 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I already got these boots in brown and I love them. Could not resist to get the same in black
SleekHeels Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I'll certainly echo Steve's sentiments, thanks Walkonit for making a guys high-heeled footprint in the mainstream in such a positive way. If you like it, wear it.
shirazmn Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Due to a change of girlfriend, I had to stop all the public heeling in november and I sold most of my favourite pairs of shoes. Now that I told the new GF about my heeling, I decided to get a few more pairs, starting from the lower heel up (so she won't freak out too soon). I just bought these 2 pairs of boots on Ebay. Can't wait to go back out walking in heels in the streets.
Slides 'n Heels Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 To give up a girlfriend can be pretty hard. But to give up our passion for heels will be impossible......... love to watch them on cute girls, love to wear them myself

Shafted Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 i just recently purchased a pair of ros hommersom tease boots from endless.com. Nice! newheeler Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I got me new pair! Its bit too narrow for my foot, (i wonder if i could broaden it or should i ask a cobbler?) however walking in them there is no problem at all 3.5cm platform, 14.5cm heels. http://www.hhplace.org/picture.php?albumid=761&pictureid=7811 Don't worry, be happy - in heels!
