  1. This is JS Dany in the sand color I’ve wanted for a while. DSW still has this at $110 but typing Dany in the Dillard search box shows these and the black at just $35 as they’re on clearance. Got the 11 and they arrived in just 52 hours. Fit like a glove. This Dany has a 6.25/16cm heel whereas the Devalyn has a 5.5”/14 cm heel.

  2. Here is one I took today while out and about. The boots are Aldo, in a two tone brown, with a chunkier heel.

  3. Mark Clift’s cellphone rang.he looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Sandy Brewer, his girlfriend. He was planning on getting together with her later this evening and was about to call her and now he wouldn’t have to. He answered, but before he could ask her about tonight, she interrupted him saying that she wanted him to meet her at one of the better department stores in their community because they were having a surprise dress sale, as well some shoes and other stuff, and she thought that both of us might be able to find some real bargains. She sounded so excited and enthusiastic that I couldn’t say no. So I told her that I would meet her there and suggested that she go ahead and see if she could find some things that she might like. So, I jumped into my car and started towards the store. Sandy and me, were becoming quite close friends. We first met where I work. She is a secretary at a local bank and a part time model. One morning she was modeling a new dress by a local designer, showing at a late morning fashion show, and fell and skinned her knee while walking down the runway. I was working the show as the runway facilitator and quickly came to her aid. We went to lunch after the doctor treated her knee and the show ended. She was very curious about my appearance. I am a man who is required to wear women’s clothing while working. (It’s a long story) but the job pays very well and I don’t have any problems working wearing dresses and high heels. In fact, I’ve come to enjoy it. And when completely dressed, including makeup and jewelry, I can easily pass as a good looking woman (or so I’ve been told.) While driving to the store I kept thinking that I really didn’t need any more summer clothes because I had just bought some. But it never hurts to look. Besides I might find some shoes that I might like on sale. I am always on the lookout for heels that I can wear to work every day. It’s becoming more difficult to find good quality high heels these days. Women aren’t wearing them very much anymore. I am always on the lookout for another pair. Every since I began wearing women’s clothes and heels to work, I have grown to love them. In fact, I even wear them when dressed as a man. I often get some crazy comments when wearing them but I don’t let them bother me any longer. It’s the possibility of physical danger from unbalanced kooks that is of more concern these days. My girlfriend kind of likes me in dresses. She understands that I’m required to wear dresses at work to keep my job and has become so used to seeing me in dresses and heels that she probably wouldn’t recognize me if I was dressed any other way. Besides it gives us a lot in common. Being able to talk about women’s clothing fashions is another subject in which we both are interested — besides baseball and hockey. I arrived at the store and found Sandy inside sorting through what looked to be several hundred different dresses. I asked if she had found any that she liked? She replied that she had found three but found more that she thought that I would like because “they’re more my taste “. I explained that I really don’t need any more dresses right now but I am always looking for shoes. So, she took me by the hand and led me into the shoe department. We spent the next couple of hours trying on shoes. I did manage to find five pairs of with heels higher than five inches, to which Sandy could not understand how I could wear heels that high without damaging my feet. While she loves shoes as much as I do, she goes for really feminine styles with straps and bows, really cute, girle pairs, with lower heels. (Now that I think about it I don’t believe that I’ve ever seen her wear heels higher than 2 or 2 1/2 inches, except on the runway, since we’ve been dating.) We took the shoes that I had just purchased and went back to the dress department to get the dresses that Sandy wanted and then since it was late, drove back to my place where we ate some very good spaghetti that I cooked yesterday. Then I put her back into my car and drove back to the department store to get her car, and followed her to her apartment making sure she got home safely. Our relationship, Sandy and mine, is quickly becoming more than just girlfriend/boyfriend. There definitely is a strong attraction between us. But, this seems to me like a “slow dance” to soft romantic music where we are content to just hold each other and let the energy flow between us. It’s just too early to tell. I really think I am fortunate to have found some very nice heels tonight. And, there is one pair that I can hardly wait to wear to work tomorrow. More to come

  4. Have to ask what size you wear to actually fit Louboutin?

  6. Here’s two looks with the JS Dany in black which I don’t think I’ve posted. Had the black ones about two years now. Quite high at 6.25”/16cm in sz11 but very stable. If at an outdoor event this would a great choice if not wearing wedges.

  9. @peterboroughAs it happens, I wore shorts for the first time in 2024 out in public only this Monday. The weather is definitely starting to get summery. I thought I would take a quick snapshot for the purposes of this thread, so we have some stuff taken recently. Not that my style has changed a whole lot in the last 5 years, but it's nice to have an example of something I wore two days ago, rather than five years ago. I have no idea whether I look super white on the first outing of the year, but I have had zero sun exposure on my legs since last fall. It is always a struggle to keep arms and legs somewhat even, given my construction job. I have to admit that sometimes in the past on Saturday mornings, I have lain out in such a way that only my legs get exposed to the sun, in order to "catch them up" a bit. I ain't got time for that sort of nonsense anymore. If there has been a change in my shorts and heels style in the last five years, it is that the shorts have become less extreme, and the heels have become more extreme. These particular shorts are from Joe's Jeans, purchased used on Poshmark for $14. They are size 27, which is the equivalent of size 4. As you can see, they're not super short, and they're not super tight. I would prefer them to be slight more of both. They have a 4 inch inseam, and I wish they were about an inch shorter, and about an inch less baggy in the legs. However, I'm not going to mess with them. They're fine. I have literally 20 other pairs of shorts to change them up with. One has to be careful to not get carried away with shortness and tightness, especially as a guy. The sandals are Nine West Potpourri, one of my fairly extensive collection of wooden heeled shoes. They've got a 4 3/4" heel with a 1" platform, so not super high. I would consider them to be a walking heel, and fairly casual looking, so they don't clash with the casualness of the shorts and t-shirt. This is what I feel works best for me personally, but obviously everybody has different tastes, styles, and bodies. I hope you find something that works for you.

I’m a bit out of practice for heels this height, but I plan to wear them out for dinner for our tenth anniversary in September, so I’m getting lots of practice.

  11. Oddly enough, I wore pumps over the weekend, and I have several pair in this general style. All of them are between 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 inches. This particular pair, which are Steve Madden Daisie, are quite comfortable. I had them on for about five hours, much of that standing, and never regretted it. In fact, I did not feel anything but good vibes. To go along with the main subject, however, I can't just slip these things on or off. It's a bit of a production. The good thing about this is no unintended shoe loss. I still do not understand how some people manage to slip right into their pumps and still walk around normally.

  12. This week's Church outfit. It was a special week at our church. We had a special service to commemorate the 175th anniversary of our existence. It was a nice service, and many people from the days of yore travelled a long way to attend this service, some of them pastors from my youth. What I did not enjoy about the service was the music, which was contemporary Christian Pop, and the apparent contemporary band dress code, which was a red t-shirt proclaiming the 175th anniversary of the church. I don't normally play with them, but their guitarist was out of town. There's nothing wrong with a red t-shirt, but I looked much nicer than the rest of the band, if I may say so. I did don a red t-shirt after church to do a little bit of grocery shopping, this one featuring our arch rival college. I think I know how I came to have this t-shirt, but it's a long story, and nobody cares anyway.

  13. Ah, the old shorts and high heels question! Once upon a time it was a question that wasn't even asked. Yes, Daisy Duke was on the TV every single week in shorts and heels, but nobody outside of a club, or maybe a car show, dressed like that in real life. Then suddenly it was ok, and even I can do it. For me personally, if I'm going to wear shorts, I'm going to wear sandals. Though I've modeled them before, I would never wear an enclosed shoe with shorts, unless I'm playing tennis. If I'm actually working outside, I'm covered head to toe (for sun protection), so it's not about the heat, it's about the style. I do usually wear open toe mules with shorts, and they do tend to have a wooden heel. But not always. I don't often wear stilettos with shorts, and I'm not 100% sure why. Perhaps stilettos with shorts still have that "clubby" look about them that I don't necessarily want to wear out and about under normal circumstances. Wedges also seem to work very well with shorts. For some reason, wedges seem to take the edge off the look. Oddly enough, I do not have all that many pictures of me in shorts, probably because I've been doing this church outfit of the week things for some time, and I still will not wear shorts to church. Even though many people do this nowadays, it just seems wrong to me. Especially when I'm on the livestream camera that gets saved forever and ever. So I'll find some quick examples. I don't do long shorts, because they simply do not look good on me. I don't have a lot of real estate to waste covering it up.

  15. I got these round toe boots from Macys, couldn't resist for $35. Leather with zippers, fit nicely over the jeans and adidas pants. I kinda like the way the boots look with the adidas gear, what do you guys think??

  16. I recently got my first pair of Hella Heels; a pair of 8 inch platform boots called ATOMIC. They are so super comfy and when I wear them barefoot my feet don't sweat up like when I wear my Pleaser boots. I'm in love!
