micha Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Hey guys, thanks for the compliments! As for shoe modification, it was just an ordinary heel swap. Nothing more and nothing less . Do you mean the exchange of heel tips? After having won an ebay auction on a collection of heel tips for 10 euros I'm doing all this work myself without the help of a cobbler. You are learning much about the construction of high heels and you are saving a lot of money. My classical 4'' slip on overknees got their new heel tips within 2 minutes for the cost of less than one euro. Not bad. Sorry, sometimes I tend to forget the original theme ... The best fashion is your own fashion!
Elegant Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 Do you mean the exchange of heel tips? No, I mean entire heels. I've done this with my both pairs- ankle boots and oxfords. I wear the latter frequently and have no trouble with new heels at all. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
alistair Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Hello, I would share this and see what people think. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff6/mccamley2002/DSC023161.jpg
JeffB Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 alistair: Love your boots! They look really cool! Please tell us more about them! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
alistair Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 I bought them in a Evans store in the sales earlier this year for £40, I was a bit worried about peoples reaction because they are very noticable, but since I started wearing them I have had lots of positive feedback. I was sat out side the tate britain and a lady said she liked my boots and would like to take a photo and she emailed be them back to me.
alistair Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 And the other photo she took,http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff6/mccamley2002/DSC023141.jpg
Elegant Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Hey, your body and face is very simmilar to mine! I think that white boots don't go well with a blue outfit though. I guess you could wear a bright top, or don black boots instead. But hey, that's just my opinion. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
iloveboots Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Hi Alistair, Great Boots and you know how to wear them! david & cathy "Dress For Your Own Pleasure"
johnieheel Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 I really like the boots and it looks very natural to me. I think blue jeans and white boots look great together but thats just me. real men wear heels
JeffB Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 alistair: I like the pic that lady took a lot. For whatever it's worth, I think the pairing of your all blue outfit with the white boots worked perfectly. You coordinated everything very well. More power to you, my friend! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
NewfieGuyInHeels Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 My Girlfriend and I went out to eat last night. Not a fancy place, but we kinda like to get a little dressy just to make it more fun. Here's a pic of the outfit I wore, and my newest boots that she helped pick out for me. They're a 3 inch thicker blade heel, got them from Sears. As always, all comments are welcome. For the record, my gf was looking Beautiful (as always) in a green sweater, black dress pants with faint vertical lines in the fabric, and Shiny black (not patent) pointed toe pumps with a 3 inch chrome stiletto heel...... My favorite shoes of her's, I guess I'll have to get a pic of them to show all of you. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
Mr. X Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Nice picture newfie. And the boots are my cup of tea.
ShockQueen Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Nice style and picture, Newfie! You make it look effortless! Just goes to show that yes, it can be done! :-) SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
NewfieGuyInHeels Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 "I Make it look effortless???" wow... Thanks SQ. That really means alot to me. Considdering I remember when I first started wearing heels out I really fussed over what to wear with them. And to be honest, I still do at times. which makes your compliment mean even more to me. However I should pass most of the credit to my wonderful gf. She helps me find good outfits, and the shirts I'm wearing in the last 2 pics I've posted were picked out by her. Yesterday we were out and about and we went to a thrift/bargain/surplus type store that's here in town. And after some browsing we came across these.... I kind of liked them, and she said to try them on, which I did, a tight fit, but I ended up likeing them too much to put back, they are real leather, so I'm hoping they'll stretch with wear. They kind of remind me of cheaper New Rocks (No offence Chris LOL) So it'll be fun trying to find something to wear with them. They don't look like a dressy kind of boot to me. But any ideas would be welcomed. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/

JeffB Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 rxrenesis: The first pair, the wedges were definitely intriguing. Could you tell us more about them? I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
rxrenesis Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Those cloudwalkers sure do look awesome I had just had a pedicure the day before I bought those sandals. Told the lady in Macy's I got tosted the night before and woke up with gold toes and needed a pair of sandals to show them off. LOL Of course she saw a sale and didn't bat an eye when I tried them on. Wore them out of the store. If the shoe fits BUY IT http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/rxrenesis/Shoe%20Shots/
rxrenesis Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 rxrenesis: The first pair, the wedges were definitely intriguing. Could you tell us more about them? I bought the wedges in K & G, you may know the store there are a few in the Greater Philadelphia area. A store had just opened at the Jersey Shore I went in tried them & bought them. They were offered in a few colors black, brown and I forget the other color. The heel is about 3.5" and quite comfortable, wore them with a pair of long jeans for a late night run at the slots, even won enough to buy the sandals in the other picture. rx If the shoe fits BUY IT http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/rxrenesis/Shoe%20Shots/

I'm trying to recall having seen any of those stores in my neck of the woods, but my mind draws a blank. What are their maximum sizes? Anything under say, 12 wide is pretty much useless to me. Sounds like you've had more success at the slots than I ever do. HA! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
rxrenesis Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Jeff, There's a store in Deptford NJ and another in King of Prussia I think. Largest size I saw in the store at the shore was 12. <==Bought the booties in my avatar there also. If the shoe fits BUY IT http://s10.photobucket.com/albums/a145/rxrenesis/Shoe%20Shots/

NewfieGuyInHeels Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Hey all. A few posts ago I showed a pair of boots I haven't done any pics with yet. Well the other day I got a leather corset from ebay and I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. Here's the boots again. The first outfit is prolly a little more gothy, but something fun I wanted to try. And I might actually wear out the second outfit, but maybe with a black T under it. All comments are welcomed. http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
Katrina Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Newfie, that's a cool outfit (both of them). You would fit right in at a local mall in my area on a Friday night - all the kids are goth. Not too many in heels, but you never know.
Elegant Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 You would fit right in at a local mall in my area on a Friday night - all the kids are goth. ...mallgoth. Yet it's possible to find some real goths too... Newfie- that's a great look, the first one! What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
