kneehighs

Looking good guys!

Well, I and my OH had the pleasure of meeting kneehighs in Manhattan last week and we visited the Oscar de la Renta show. Didn't actually get into the runway section but got to wait around in the foyer in the tent and people watch. Lots of interesting and beautiful people about! It was a fun day looking at all the fabulous outfits. We then had lunch at a Vietnamese Restaurant in Chelsea (IIRC) and afterwards spent the afternoon in the Meatpacking District and the Village.

Anyway, here's some pics of what I wore that day. These were taken in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan - it was a VERY cold day!

This final pic is of me and Kneehighs (he was wearing boots over his jeans which looked great and got a compliment from a lovely store assistant at Marc Jacobs). I was wearing my Clark's Oprington wedges (I was going to wear my Ambra heeled boots but decided the wedges would be better for walking long distances in). The bag is a Kenneth Cole Reactions bag I picked up at a thrift store in New Rochelle for 5 bucks.

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, it's been a while since I posted in this thread. Here's an outfit I wore to work last Tuesday - built around these shoes:

And some close up details of the shirt, coat and cufflinks. The coat I found at a Salvation Army thrift store in Brooklyn along Atlantic Avenue. The shoes I picked up at Oxfam in Abergavenny. The jeans are Levi's 525s bootcuts that I picked up in TJ Maxx in Manhattan.

Oh, I love the second pair of boots! They're somewhat simmilar to my knee-high cowboys. Where did you get them, and how high are their heels? :o

Funnily enough that's what my OH said to me. She spotted them in the Cancer Research Shop in Abergavenny on Saturday. Tried them on and they fit perfectly - I had to buy them. The heel is 4 cm (approx. 2 inches). I wore them out on Sunday to Cardiff under my jeans. I haven't worn them over my jeans yet but will do so as I think it looks really good on me! ;)

I agree, the second pair are really, really nice. I saw a man wearing a very similar pair over boots in Moissac (South West France) on Christmas Eve. He wore them over black trousers and teamed them up with a black long leather coat and a hat. It was a bold masculine look. I mentioned it in a post, but I didn't have my camera ready to catch a quick street shot of him. It was -8 there though.

Very nice style Jue..I realy like clothes you put together in the last set of pics.. I do hope you wear your boots and things on the street (if not give it a try) as you definatly have a "look" that would make it easy-peezy. enjoy! jim

a "look" that would make it easy-peezy.

What do you mean by that? ;)

I haven't gone street-heeling in around... 3+ years already I think. I've gone out a few times before, with my SO, in heels too. All those times, I wore normal tshirts, black usually, with super wide legged black pants, so the heels don't really show, even when walking, they show just a little bit. Haha. I've only seen one guy notice (Think he's gay, heh), while I was walking, and the look of shock in his face was priceless. :P

I'm planning to go again. Very soon. This week probably, to a mall. Gona see a movie with my SO. :o I'm planning to wear my 4.25 stiletto pumps, the one in my avatar, with black pants. For the top.. I haven't decided yet. I'll post a pic after goin out. :D

Why should girls have all the fun? :P

Awesome pics HeelD, You make the flats look so natural on a guy, I'll deffinately have to try them sometime.

But now I just got my new Nine West Boots, I wasn't expecting them until next monday. They're black, ankle high, pointed toe, with 3.5 inch stiletto heels. Here's just a couple pics I did wth one outfit, when I have more time I'll try more. As always I'm up for suggestions.

Thanks Newfie! The pictures didn't come out as well as I hoped - a bit too grainy (I deliberately switched off the flash so I could get some more natural light shots). I'm still learning how to use my new camera - I'm gonna have another play with it in a couple of days. Those boots look great on you BTW! ;)

gony, you kill me... first your toenails are sick & your feet are what like size 9-10? AND you're tan!! You can fit into any type of heel & probably find any style you want. You are super lucky, love the photos. I am suffering from post-shave itchy leg day & it's not fun. But my new shoes are coming Friday... can't wait.

Thx luckyguy, maybe im the lucky guy... My feet size is 10 for open shoes e 11 for pumps and boots. I always depilate my legs, but recently I am with laziness to do this. I have a lot of pics here, but my flickr album is full and i dont like the pics size in the yahoo... Maybe ill post new pics soon... Thx for all Gony
