  1. Many of my colleagues are aware I wear heels as I do so publicly. But about 2 months ago I decided to just go ahead and be myself in tge office. I'm happy to report I'm openly wearing pumps in the office. One guy calls them my compression shoes. I do stick to basic pumps, minimal color, navy and black. I don't walk the shop in them, there is a safety shoe policy outside the offices anyway. It's been continues to be fun.

  2. Hi all , hope you're doing well Recently our office implemented a standing desk policy, and all desks were changed to standing ones. As an avid high heels wearer, this was a detrimental change, but I decided to protest even with the expense of my foot health :D. I decided to wear ballet heels to work, both as a challenge to myself and also as a protest against the policy which the office manager clearly had aimed against me (she is very masculine herself). It was interesting to say the least I chose my trusty locking knee length boots, which have a very pronounced arch to support long term standing (similar to these). As my husband was locking them before I left for work, I was a little terrified about what it would be like. I had worn ballets outside many times, but never alone and never to work. I knew that I would spend much of the day standing, so I had carefully padded the toes before putting them on. Then I (my hubby) tightened the laces as tight as possible, since they would loosen during the day, and it would be hard for me to retighten them in my s-bend corset that I had chosen for the day, to make my figure sufficient for my custom-made blazer with a 18-inch waistline. I also wore some stockings under the boots, but decided not to wear hobble skirt, since the ballets were difficult enough on their own. Instead, I opted for a simple pleated skirt going mid-thigh. When I sat down in the train, I realised my first mistake. Because of the ballet heels, my knees were above my crotch, which made the eyes of the opposing (male) passenger very fixated between my legs. I quickly realised my mistake, and turned my legs to the side (like a proper lady). The ballet boots gathered quite a lot of looks, but luckily I didn't get any comments about them. The walk from the train station to my office went as uneventfully as the previous one. I walked as fast as my corset-limited breathing capacity and the shoes allowed, but the walk still took ten minutes more than usual. Once at the office, I went to my desk and adjusted the height about 4 cm upwards to compensate the difference between my normal heel height. "Okay", I thought. "The grind has begun." The first couple hours went really well considering the circumstances, and one of my female coworkers (a heels enthusiast too) even complemented my shoe choice, and hoped me well. For a long time I could ignore the ever-increasing burn by concentrating intensely on my tasks, but around lunch time the pain had gotten to the point where I couldn't ignore it anymore. Relief came in the break room, where someone had generously left one chair that was luckily unused. My lunch break is short – only fifteen minutes – which meant that after my time was up I had to get back to my desk. After about an hour the pain was again quite bad, and I decided to use one of the many tricks I have learned over the years on how to alleviate discomfort caused by one's outfit. I went to the bathroom, and tightened my corset by an inch, leaving it at 17". I also made the shoulder straps go as tight as I could, which pushed my breasts forward even more. This left me a little light-headed, and made wearing the corset be an agony. However, it also changed the main source of discomfort making me "forget" about my shoes and able to bear the remaining hours. Of course, this relief was very temporary in its nature, and once the time came to leave for home, the discomfort was horrible. Luckily I was used to dealing with these kinds of ordeals, as BDSM play had thickened my skin quite a lot. The walk to the train station eased the pain somewhat, but I was still very glad to get home, and get my hubby (love ya hun❤️) to unlock my shoes. (the corset was left on, even tightened a little) I assure you, rest of the evening was spent cuddling on the sofa, while he massaged and stretched my feet thoroughly. A well-deserved reward after a long day, although it still would have helped if my corset had been a little looser ;=) As an experience, it was definitely quite fun, but I still wouldn't wear ballet heels and a little-too-short skirt on public again S

  5. A recent couple posts on Melrose's thread got me thinking. How many of us are Heel Bingers. I know I am here is my collection of one style of 5" round toed pumps. I have 12 pair, patent, snake patent and matte. Love them all and wear them all. One thing about heels, no limit on colors. I've received great comments with these.

  6. Just received these from Poshmark. They are brand new but sat in a box for a number of years. Still had the tags stuck to the soles. The heels are close to 5". These are the thinnest heels to date. I wore them to church this morning, walking a good distance from the far end of the parking lot on a grade. They are more challenging than the thicker heels but not unmanageable. The picture is from a Poshmark listing for the same boots. I tried to take a picture with my cell phone but couldn't get them all in from arm's length. I have some similar boots by Guess with a thick 5" heel with a mirror like heel on one side. Those are a few inches shorter. I really like the shape of these heels. They are a size 10 and fit perfectly, not too tight.

  7. We do irony, but only in Facebook memes. It pains me to no end to interrupt this banter--sometimes HHP is at its best when we're not discussing shoes--but I have an announcement to make: I have actually bought a pair of boots. I know, I know, unbelievable, but there is actual winter here in Iowa, and I'm not up to the level of that Snow Maiden woman from Togliatti, Russia. Vince Camuto boots, 4 inch heel, no platform. They fit a little bit better in the shaft than my other boots, which is good. I paid 100 bucks for them on Poshmark. I haven't actually worn them anywhere yet, but I can already tell it will be no problem when I do. Sometimes it's good to back off on the heel height a little bit for the sake of utility.

  8. Just got these Nine West ankle boots... Brand new and very inexpensive on ebay. US women's size 10.5 and the fit perfectly. The exact style I love, nice pointed toes and classic stiletto heels. Super easy to walk in with 4.5" heels and comfortable, have put a few miles on them already. And, being ankle boots/booties, they are easy to pack. Yeah, I know, the levis don't fit properly inside the boots....I just pulled em up to expose the short shafts....D

  9. My Nine West Cacey 9x9 boots I got about 6 weeks ago. Love the look of there’s boots. Stable and fit well. Nice and warm. I love the slender block heel. Easy to walk in as well, a 4 inch heel is a nice sweet spot.

  12. Ok, So i have been into heels size 2017 and all my family know. When i go out in public, i usually wear a 3" Block Heel, my friend got me to whear the below heel (picture taken today) when i went out to a local Pub for dinner. These are a 3" heel Trainer. I was always way too nervious / shy to wear they type of heel in public. now i have done it, i want to do it again. Got to take my car tomorrow to BMW for a service, I plan on wearing them.

  13. I wear western style 3" heel boots when i can find them. One day I was walking out of a motel and met a nice looking lady coming in. She looked down and said "I love your boots!" I told her, "thanks, I do too!" she stopped and talked a bit and mentioned that men's fashion is so plain and went on to ask where I found boots like that. I looked at her kind of sheepish, and told her I found them on the other side of the store. She looked at me funny like she didn't get it and I say, "They are from the women's side of the store." Her eyes perked up and she got a huge grin and said, "Good for you! Most men wouldn't even think about wearing women's shoes."

  15. Thought I'd ask everyone their opinion on the perfect shoe. Mine varies over time but here is where I'm at right now. My perfect shoes is: - single sole, closed toed, mild toe cleavage, open instep, low outer side, 5 inch stilleto. Sorry for the image quality, taken from my phone at work.

  16. The past few days, while out traveling I had occasion to visit the official "Center of the World." It is an interesting, and little known "monument" in the small town of Felicity, California (population 2) in the desert west of Yuma, Arizona. The location has actually been proclaimed the Center of the World by resolution of the Imperial County Supervisors as well as the Government of France. It was still warm in the desert - 90 degrees - and I was the only person visiting on this day. As I wandered around looking at the displays and imagining the dedication, research, planning and cost that went into this project I was approached by a caretaker, she and her husband built the place. She was very friendly and informative and gave me a mini tour even tho the place was still closed for the summer - they "officially" open on December 1st. We spent about 20 minutes together and when we parted, she said with a smile , "I really like your shoes." I was wearing my kitten heels sandals (see attachment), a pair that I have had for a while and really enjoy wearing. She asked if they were comfortable - they are - and asked if I wear them all the time. I told her that I am one of "those" guys who like gals shoes and enjoy wearing heels. She said that she also likes heels, but has never seen a guy in heels but can fully understand why I would enjoy wearing them. I told her that wearing gals shoes is something I have done for years, it is just a choice that I have made in my life. She told me that I looked great and we all should do what makes us happy in this short time on earth, the Center of the World included. A link to the place is below if anyone is interested. http://www.felicity.us/home.html

  19. Well, I did it. First time in heels in public. Guys, SKIES DON’T FALL. Those who have not done it, do it. What a feeling, inclusive, and adrenaline filled. Went to the city centre, to look at new TVs as ours is on the way out. Walked down the main thoroughfare and it was busy for these pandemic times, but it was no where near normal levels pre pandemic. Had a few wobbles, especially on cracks and those disabled bobbles we have here in the UK at traffic lights to let the visually impaired there’s a traffic light here. I took my 4 inch Nine West Cacey 9x9 boots, I decided that why not… Life is too short to play it safe. Dressed with my Levis with the long inseam that covered most of my heels, leaving a inch or so visible. Also wore a black Vans T-shirt and my Mackage bomber jacket. Oh and my face mask, great for anonymity. The sound is amazing, the feeling is great, got a few disparaging looks, but also had a thumbs up. Interesting thing happened, there was a fellow MALE heeler out as well. Gave him a nod of approval, as his were on display. As it wasn’t great weather there was lots of trainers on. The amount of heels on show from the women folk is also increasing to a incredible level, lots of lug sole boots, a pair of JC Litas and some stiletto pumps. There was one bad thing that happened, the balls of my feet were burning. After 45 to 60 minutes in heels I had to change into my trainers (sneakers for non UK folk). I even done the taping of the toes trick, it works. Thing is, I have done it, been out in heels, proper high heels, not 2.5 inch Cuban ones. I guess my next outing will be longer. Now looking for that opportunity. Might look for something with a slightly lower heel. Guys who have not heeled in public, do it, it’s something that you will thank yourself for. Even if it was for an hour or less.

  22. Along those lines, I think the photo below is about as high as you can go and still not be sort of fetishy looking. There are certain makers who seem to be able to add a centimeter or two to this and get by with it, but it doesn't much matter, because hardly anybody can walk in them anyway. I wonder how many Christian Louboutin Hot Chicks et al. actually get worn, versus how many are simply admired in the display case.

  27. Like many others here, I was young, probably 11-12, not only did I have mom's shoes but two older sisters. I only really played around and wore them for short periods when nobody else was home, but that didn't last that long. They didn't really fit me by the time I turned 13, and am not sure I was really hooked yet, it was a just fun little novelty at that point. It wasn't until about 2 years later, 14, maybe 15. It was my best friends sister, I had a huge crush on her, she was hot and wore fantastic 4 inch heels pretty much all the time. I had a lot of sleep overs at my friends house and occasionally had opportunities to check out her closet, try things on, etc. I wear women's size 10, and she had tons of pairs that were 9 and 9.5, many of which fit me just fine. She had one pair of 4 inch white pumps that I am sure she forgot about, they were buried in the back of her closet, buried under a mountain of other things and were scuffed and not in the best of shape and I thought, "she wouldn't miss these", so I ended up taking them home (not proud of that), but that was really my first pair of heels and I was hooked now. I still didn't have the courage to buy my own pair until I was probably 17 or so. I kept a pretty small collection/stash that I wore mostly in private until I met my future wife, about 10 years later, who was very understanding and open to my experimentation. Well, that opened the flood gates. I wear heels more often than not, and my collection now is really just excessive and I have a hard time keeping it from just getting completely out of control. She has occasionally expressed some unhappiness with it over the years, but for the most part she still supports my quirks

  30. I’ve been doing more outings fully dressed in women’s attire and really high stiletto heels. It’s something that I wrestled with myself for a while but I just said, what the hell and went for it. I feel wearing a nice pair of tight fitting skinny jeans or a dress complements the heels I have on.

  32. Arrived this week already worn outside. Bought from Ghigocalzature, one of my favourite sellers of large sizes. Heels are only 4 cm but the imitation country style on the sharp "feminine" side makes them my new favourite go to boots.

  33. So here i am, by request of a special member in this forum. I am not sure what to expect, so let us see what happens. What seems to be the main interest here: i am sorry to say that i do not wear heels all the time, only part-time. When my husband comes home i will be in heels, but most probably an hour later not. I will wear heels when shopping or going to the theater, opera, cinema or to some kind of festivity. I do not love heels, i like them for the effect they have on my appearance, and of course the effect they have on the male population. So that should be all for now, have fun when doing your thing, that is what i do! Helen

  34. The Re-Learning curve. I have been lazy for the 7 – 8 months and have been wearing my Steve Madden Estrellas everywhere. I just love these mules and even with the hundreds of miles these have seen, I not ready to give them. I can slide them on as I get out of bed. I even have another new pair in a box in the ‘Heel Library’. You can see from the photo below the contrast between the two pairs. But they are “short”, only a little over a 3.5-inch difference between the heel and the platform. However, we are expecting a period where we will be getting rain and the open toe just wont work. So, I pulled out a pair of black Nine West Kimy leather knee high today, see photo in boot thread. They have a 4.5-inch heel and no platform. That inch is significant since it been a while, I wanted to get use to them again. I plan to wear them to the doctor’s tomorrow (the front desk staff will go nuts.). So, I wore them to run some errands and then around the house for 4 more hours. By that time I was use to the height again. Below is a picture of my wine colored pair.

  42. A few weeks back i stopped at an inner city McDonald's. I walked in heels in full view as usual. Clerk, an african American stopped a bit short when he took my order. Then said, i love you heels, but then heard your voice and didn't know if should say anything. I put him at ease saying, i just love wearing heels. He grabbed a female coworker and said they were cute. I told him it's OK, i thought they were too. She went crazy, said she loved them but couldn't wear such high heels as i lifted my leg to give a better profile view. I told them i have been wearing heels for 35 yrs. It was a fun encounter, but he must have initially assumed I was gay until he heard my voice and manner of speak. I believe he thought if I were gay it'd be easier to understand. I put him at ease but leads me to wonder something I always have. Why do so many homosexual men alter their speak? Not all but enough to stereotype. Homosexual women don't seem to, just curious. Not to upset anyone but it is still a bit odd.
