JeffB Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 those pumps are to die for! Here's a pic of the pumps i am going to buy in about a week. They're the BCBGirls "Populi" pump. I fell in love with them when i first saw them on the Zappos website. Wow! Those are charming shoes! I definitely like them! By all means, keep us appraised of your pursuit of those lovely pumps! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
chrigi-ch Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Those are so low-cut. How do you keep them on your feet? Hey jmc and Phoenix oh yes, it is difficult to keep them on the food. But if I waer them I first have to waer them till my feet get's just a little bit sweaty and then they will be kept by the skin-sweat-leather-combinaton on my feet. That's the trick *smile* Greetz Chrigi-ch

Phoenix Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 That's the trick, cool. I've always wondered. Thanks

Heelsftw Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Hi all! Just wanted to share with you the latest addition to my closet. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/645272677/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/645272693/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/645272705/ This is "Carrie" by Guess. I was very attracted to these shoes for some strange reason. My wife knew about it and bought these for me as a small gift. Boy did she make my day These are about 4" high on a size 8.5 and they're quite comfortable to wear... just as what owners of these beauties said in their reviews.
Elegant Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 No wonder that she chose these pumps- they're beautiful! What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
JeffB Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Heelsftw: Impressive shoes there, my friend. May you enjoy them for a long time to come. I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
since-i-can-rem Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 not my latest, but my favourites! http://s02.imagehost.org/1236/8.jpg
hhpumps Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I certainly love your taste in heels. Black patent is my favorite color. There is nothing hotter than a pair black patent pumps, at least 4 inches but prefer higher.... patent leather and classic high heel pumps area.
Heelsftw Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 Hi all, I just want to thank you all for the kind comments. I'm really glad you enjoyed my contributions. There are actually a few more additions to my closet. I will post pictures of them as soon as I get a chance to convert them into photo form hhpumps: if you were referring to me... thank you for your comments. I use to wear only 5"+ heels at home. Some how, I've recently developed an appreciation for fashion heels. I find that a pair of 4" heel can be just as "sexy" as any 5"/6" heels
jemanda Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I am attempting my first pic in ages so be kind I dont know if this is going to work. Anyway, there have been a number of those peep toe pumps in the shops lately and they do tend to be a better fit than normal ones. I picked up a nice pair at a local shopping centre which hopefully will show up at the link below. http://www.flickr.com/photos/8456476@N03/512278356/
since-i-can-rem Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 I sold them a few weeks ago: http://s01.imagehost.org/0759/M0010715.JPG
metalspikes Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Went shoe shopping yesterday with my wife... she bought a couple of pairs of nice heels for herself and then she got me a really nice pair of heels. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/455527454/in/set-72157600065135060/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/455541495/in/set-72157600065135060/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/455541525/in/set-72157600065135060/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/7290541@N08/455527524/in/set-72157600065135060/ These shoes are really beautiful! They're quite comfortable as well. They're size 8US, made by Guess. Although they were for me, I have a feeling that my wife will be wearing them more than me heheheh. But hey, it's the thought that counts I am going to FREAK if i don't find a pair of those fast!! They are HOT!!! I don't know about FREAKING, but I sure would love to have a pair. I wrote to Guess to ask if they still make it. They wrote to say "Unfortunately we no longer have that shoe available that is the old style Carrie. You can try Zappos.com." Zappos doesn't have it on their website, and they don't have access to inventory information in their outlet stores. In other words, I'm just plain SOL. I couldn't even find them listed on fleaBay. You are one lucky guy (well, soon as you manage to pry them off of your wife's feet, that is). Thanks for another photo to add to my "The Ones that Got Away (and that's no fish story!)" gallery. Sigh... Hi all! These are the new Carrie, listed at Zappos as "Carrie 2." In my opinion, they are nowhere near as flattering or attractive as the previous style.
Elegant Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Well, they're still beautiful. I'd even say that they appeal to me more- maybe because of the bow on the old version... I didn't like it too much. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
shrimper Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 The Carrie 2 has a longer toe. I like the original better myself. A quick search shows the Carrie available at Zappos and at Nordstrom but nobody has that red patent with the accent. I think they're hot and I love them.
metalspikes Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 The Carrie 2 has a longer toe. I like the original better myself. A quick search shows the Carrie available at Zappos and at Nordstrom but nobody has that red patent with the accent. I think they're hot and I love them. I searched more extensively on fleaBay and Google in the hopes that someone might have a few pair left. No joy at all. Heelsftw posted about them in April and they are apparently all gone already. Well, they're still beautiful. I'd even say that they appeal to me more- maybe because of the bow on the old version... I didn't like it too much. Too feminine, perhaps? The new ones are too plain for my tastes-- I already have plenty of plain courts. The cut-aways at the arches don't help them that much, in my opinion. But what I dislike most is the new inelegant heel shape-- these would look better with the classic tapering stiletto. The original style has simple, classic lines. The toes are pointy, but not excessively long. The bow decorations are understated, which is highly unusual-- bows, when designers put them on the vamps, tend to be big and floppy. And white sets off the red patent to perfection-- I don't think they would look half as good in any other color or texture. "Cute" and "sweet" may be qualities that you do not want in heels for yourself, and I can understand that. But it's the rare pair that succeeds in fitting that description without being pretentious. I doubt that I would want to wear them outdoors, but it would feel good to be able to look down and see them adorning my feet!
Heelsftw Posted July 3, 2007 Posted July 3, 2007 Hi all! Was away for a bit and didn't catch all the action. I apologize for not putting in more information about the shoes. The ones in red are actually called Sally2 (that's what it says on the box). They were purchased from DSW. I still see them in few of the the stores that I visit. However, they don't have it in Red Pat anymore. They do have black pat and black leather. The pair of Carrie in black is actually the original Carrie. Carrie 2, 3, and 4 are just more of the same shape... just different color and texture/material. And no, I do not work for either DSW or Guess, I just happen to love these shoes lol. Hope that helps
