New pair of boots starts me serious street heeling.

I suspect your co-worker is one of those folks that typically looks up in the world (where things like lace tops are) rather than someone that is looking more down to earth (where the gray suede stiletto pumps are) or someone that takes a wider view of things (and sees there is a boyfriend). We all generally see the important stuff...it's just all a matter of perspective. :penitent:

It appears we were both looking at each other taking visual notes.

We can only wonder at the notes she took, but I was wondering about the ones you took?

Oh God, where do I begin with what happened to me today on my way to the theatre. I stopped at convenience store in Skowhegan to pick up some stuff before heading to Pittsfield. I was wearing my American Eagle skinny jeans with an American Eagle white canvas double row grommited belt. On top I was wearing my theatre tee with my Frederick's of Hollywood black pinstripe blazer with black satin lapels. I was booted in my kneehigh black suede stilletto boots with a four inch gold stiletto heel and gold sole My hair has been cut as I have a wedding to attend Saturday. So my current hairstyle is a classic pageboy cut as this is what will grow out with the least amount of "pain". I have to admit after having it for a couple of days, I'm starting to like it. I'll be slicking it back mafia style for the wedding. Anyway back to the story. As I got out of my truck at the store, I noticed the car that pulled up next to me. Got out, went in. I'm sure they saw me. Inside I did my usual business and headed back out to my truck. As I got to the drivers side door, well here's the word for word account. I s&^t you not. Two people were in the vehicle next to mine. A nice looking woman in the drivers seat, and a rather large guy in the passenger seat with his window rolled down. Guy: Those are some awesome boots. Girl: (gigling) Me: Thanks. Guy: I kind of have a high heel fetish. Girl: (starting to lose control of laugh reflex) Me: As long as I don't figure into that anywhere. Girl: (now laughing hysterically, OMG! Did she just hit her head on the steering wheel?) Guy: Is it because I'm fat? Me: No, that's not it. At that point all three of us are laughing. Then the guy they were waiting for inside came out and was probably trying to figure out what was going on between them and the guy in heels he saw in the store. Later in Pittsfield I decided to stop for an early dinner at the local chinese resteurant. Now I'd seen the wife of the owner of the store before, but not like this. She was wearing a black sweater dress with gray heather leggings and a pair of 3 inch pumps with a narrow cuban style heel. She was looking very fine. She then strikes up a conversation with me (ding, she's never done that before). Hmm!

Seems like you and the girl had some fun!

I could walk on sunshine, but I chose heels instead.

Great story, Shafted. As I have posted before, I have experienced lots of positive comments while wearing heels. Thanks for the post. Happy Heeling, bluejay

Seems like the guy succeeded in entertaining his girl. To me the whole fun for the girl was the parody of a converation between one completely fake and burlesque fetishist (the fat guy) and one labelled as fetishist (guess who) and supposedly mistaking it for a serious conversation. This reminds me the french movie "Le dîner de cons" with Villeret, recently remade under the title "the dinner game" according to wiki. The guy was so focused on his prank and self confident he did not even adapt his sayings to what you answered. Best Eric

Update time! I now have a new cheesy $40 Vivitar digital camera. I have updated my gallery to show off the new Frederick's of Hollywood pinstripe blazer with black satin lapels. I also going to start a new album with the theatre's digital cinema equipment for those interested.

Hey shafted, I saw your new pics. You look good! Too bad the photos weren't a little bigger, but nice to see some new photos of you. What do you wear this time of year, boots or shoes? I can wear boots all year round.

Okay gang the last couple of days have been rather extraordinary. I've had four separate women compliment me on my footwear choice, and one, even said I have the legs of a supermodel. I think I must be doing something right. They sure know how to stroke my ego.

Should have gone to specsavers. Sorry Mr Shafted could not resist standard joke here in the uk, even the adverts are good. One of the best when a farmer shears his own sheep dog.

Good for you, my friend! Keep on doing what you're doing!

I suppose I've been lax in reporting compliments from people here. I think it's a form of being punch dumb. I'm at the theatre now ingesting "Captain Phillips" having just come back from the bank conducting theatre business. While I was there I was complimented on my boots from one of the women working there (the bank manager I think).

This has really become the norm for me to the point where it makes very little difference.

I was wearing my "Miss Tina" black suede stiletto boots with gold piping, sole and heel over my American Eagle Outfitters skinny jeans. I was wearing a cable knit sweater, Peruzzi leather jacket, fedora and a knit scarf (it's f'ing cold here). That's pretty much my normal dress for this time of year.

Life in heels as a guy is so good, it's easy to forget how unusual it still is in this day and age.

Great post, Shafted! I agree - it's awesome wearing heels out in public and enjoying them without guilt or shame.

It's cold here too, man - stay warm!

Well, this morning here at McDonald's we had a few visitors from Quebec. 1 guy with 3 gals. They wound up sitting at the table adjacent to mine. Just love the way those French women dress, even in this arctic environment.

I was wearing a charcoal gray cable knit sweater with my American Eagle skinny jeans and my Kimel black suede and leather kneehigh boots with a 3 inch spike heel.

Caught the guy snapping a picture of me with his iPhone.

I had to get up to get some more napkins, which I'm sure afforded him an even better view. It's funny, but of the four of them, he was the only one who seemed to have noticed.

I don't often get any comments from anyone when I do go out in boots. Usually, they don't notice due to jeans over, but I do seem to have all the really noisy boots. Went into a DSW the other day, and a male associate actually noticed and complimented me - - - now that threw me for a curve.

Slowly but surely, the kids have all seen most of my boots - - they know they are womens, and they don't seem to care. Wife is finally not saying much about it either, but I do tend to not wear them locally

Yesterday in Pittsfield, I was coming out of Dysart's with my lunch when I heard a thumping on the window of an SUV. I turned to see a young woman pointing at my shoes (my Gabriella Rocha snakeskin stiletto pumps) and giving me a big smile and two thumbs up.

I turned to her and smiled back.

I was wearing them with light gray kneehighs and my American Eagle skinny jeans with my charcoal gray cable knit oversize sweater.

This happened just moments ago while I was on the way up to the town office to take care of theatre business.

I was wearing the following

Frederick's of Hollywood pinstripe blazer

American Eagle Outfitters skinny jeans

Street Couture short sleeve v-neck jersey

Sheer black kneehigh stockings

Blue Suede Shoes black patent 4 inch stiletto pumps

Flex Felt fedora

As I was approaching the rear entrance to the town office this absolutely stunning blonde in skinny jeans and wedge heel pumps held the door for me.

I think we both did doubletakes. I know I did.

Thanks for posting, Shafted.  Though your outings are so completely casual to you now I still appreciate reading about them.

I'm sure it was the Flex Felt fedora that caused the doubletake.  :penitent:

Well done sir.
