Shyheels
Knee boots, flat or heeled, are lovely - and very nice to wear this time of year as the temperatures drop.
Cali
I was at my nail salon (only two pedicurist and one other client) getting a pedicure and we were all talking. And I said something to the effect of "... and I wish I was 6' 3" ..." and with out missing a beat the owner said " what are you talking about, you're 6-3 in heels."

Shyheels
It’s a bit like listening to English folk moan about the heat in the summer - when it is 70°F. I’ve even heard the weatherman here describe a 77°F day as “a scorcher”.
Cali
I've seen -25 F in California. I am also a skier and have seen and skied may days in single digits or lower. We have had nights in the 30's lately, it may not be COLD for some of you, but it is cold for me.

Shyheels
I’m getting a pair of boots that appear to be somewhat similar to that - block heeled brown knee boots. Should have them next month. Looking forward to having them. It’s a nice look with jeans.
spikesmike
pebblesf : It is always cold were you go. Forty (40) thousand feet is always cold. Winter or summer. Happy holidays. Mike

I wear shorter jeans under the boots so they don't bunch up at my ankles.
Shyheels
Yes, a very accessible look - one I think could help sell the idea that men can wear heels and/or knee boots.
Cali
I'm on the verge of acquiring an over-the-knee boot. Any one know anything about the JLO JENNIFER LOPEZ LAKEL OVER-THE-KNEE BOOT. Do JLO shoe run skinny?
spikesmike
Cali : I have had considerable good luck purchasing high heel booth from ( onlymaker). However, thinking back on it I am not so sure if onlymaker has over the knee boots. I Just know I have a lot of their high heel shoes. Shoebidoo and Giaro for sure. When I got to the parking lot, I hopped out of my car and started to untie my kayaks. The English chap loading his kayaks onto the truck next to mine shout out, "I need those shoes." I had my worn out 4" wedges on and he was vertically challenged, needing a stool to reach the top of his roof. We laughed. If he really was English, he certainly wasn't 'vertically challenged' - just 'short'.

at9
"Vertically challenged" is certainly used in the UK. Usually in a humorous or sarcastic way. Other useful euphemisms include "horizontally challenged" and "hard of thinking".

My point was that they are unneccessary and imprecise. Too much PC-speak nowadays, e.g. the pantomime that a certain Council insisted was renamed 'Snow Green and the Seven Persons of Restricted Growth'. Shyheels
Vertically challenged was always jocular not a part of PC-speak

It was a press item from three or four years ago, as I recall. The venue was somewhere in Nottinghamshire. I can't now find a specific reference online. It was reported as fact (and perfectly credible at the time) but it may have been a wind-up.
at9
I think it was a wind up. I actually went to a performance of what (if I remember correctly) was called "Snow Green and the 17 and a half vertically challenged people". It was a village pantomime c1997 near Oxford. It was a glorious send up of this kind of foolery.
Cali
Wore one of my favorite winter outfits last week. Cold day and this sherpa is warm. Started out going to Costco and had at least 8 compliments on everything. But the funny thing is I ran into my Ex-wife there. She knows I wear heels and have seen me in many different one, she had never me in knee high stilettos. First time for everything! 😆 She was surprise, maybe because I towered over her, who knows/who cares. Then went to my eye exam test and after it was done the tech told be how nice the boots are how well I walked in them. I love wearing these Jessica Simpson boots.

Shyheels
Very nice boots - and a great look with jeans. Very presentable. And very saleable, if you will, as a vision of men in heels.
Cali
Okay @pebblesf, here’s a more detail photo of the Jessica Simpson’s Rollin stiletto boots. Five inch heel, 1 inch platform, size 11. I find that Jessica Simpson heels are pointed so I need to go up a size. I found these late in the run and they only had this color (which I like) and a leopard print left in size 11. Would have liked another suede one in chestnut or a dark brown. I’ve even emailed the company to ask them to bring this model back. So today is a cold, windy, and very wet day. Great for the Nine West leather boots and leggings.

Wish I still had my Jessica Simpson boots, wore them out year ago. Always wanted a pair of those JS cowgirl boots also, but very pricey. You look great in the black boots as well.
