Firefox Posted January 5, 2002 Author Posted January 5, 2002 I'm size 40 or 41 in the European sizes. it's 9 or 10 in the US women's or 7 or 8 on the UK men's size. I can get either men's or women's shoes in my size. I'm lucky
Jeff Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 I think with EU 41-42 (UK8) I'm pretty lucky as well. Mostly it's 41 in boots and shoes that can be concidered 'streetwear' and 42 in stiletto's. Firefox Posted January 6, 2002 Author Posted January 6, 2002 41 is usually describes as an 8 in woman's and a 7 in men's sizes in the UK.
Jeff Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 Aha, didn't know that.. Already learned something on the new board. Greetz, Jeff --- "She's going shopping, shopping for shoe-oe-oe-oes She wants them in magenta and Caribbean blue-ue-ue-ue" - Imelda, Mark Knopfler
Francis Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I'm actually a wide 7 which makes it awkward to say the least, but it means I have to try them out more which is not a bad thing. LOL
Highluc Posted January 8, 2002 Posted January 8, 2002 I'm again one of those lucky guys that can buy regular woman's sizes. I wear Eur 40 or 41, US male 8, female 10B, UK 7. Only in the south of Europe I have problems finding regular shoes because in Italy and Spain those nice girly shoes usually are only sold up to size 39. Be youself, enjoy any footwear you like and don't care about what others think about it, it's your life, not theirs. Greetings from Laurence
Calv Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I'm size UK 9 (EUR 42 or 43) but can wear a UK 8 sometimes. I think my actual size is 8.5. So I'm pretty lucky as I can fit into most styles of shoes or boots My sympathies for those of us who have larger feet. Do your own thing. Don't be a victim of conformity. Calv
ShockQueen Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 I usually wear a women's size 14, and sometimes depending on the style, I'd have to go to a 15. I'm just a victim of the dreaded "bigfoot" disorder. SQ SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Shiela Ann Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 I wear a women's US size 12M but also can wear a size 11 wide which helps some in finding shoes.
jim Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Hi..Wow my ist post on the new board. Well I for one like the format, don't change a thing! As for my shoe size..I take a womans US 9.5/10 or a Euro 40/41.I can't always take this for granted tho as some shoe sizes can be way out. regards jim
Frankie Posted January 18, 2002 Posted January 18, 2002 Hi to you all!!!, I wear a size 11/12 uk or 14 us. It is difficult to find fashion woman shoes in those sizes. Most shoes in big sizes are fetish shoes but i prefer a more feminine style made of soft leather like snakeskin or alligator. Frankie
dawn Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 as far as one can trust shoe sizes i'm us 10.5-11 (~42 eu)
Slim Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 Well its hard to say,I'm a US mens 10N, but as soon as the heel gets over 3" I'm a US Womens 8 1/2M to 10N. I even have a pair of usw8's I wear at times.
Tech Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 I am a UK womens size 9, sometimes an 8 fits well too, so some stuff i can buy straight off the shelf, and with a little stretching i have a perfect fitting shoe or boot Heels for Men // Legwear Fashion // HHPlace Guidelines If something doesn't look right, please report the content ASAP!
squirrelheels Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 I'm a size 9 in UK terms... I can just about get away with an 8, sometimes a 7, depending on the shoe. In € money, that's 43 (afaik), 41 and 39/40. Is that correct? God only know what that is in the stupid American system.... SH Hi! I'm a signature virus! Copy me into your sig and help me spread!
Phil Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 I'm a size 11 US womens & I think 41/42 Eur 9 UK.
loveheel Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 I am a 42 Euro but have pretty wide feet. Depending on the store I wear 10W, 11 or occasionally even 12 (US sizes). So I can find shoes in regular stores with some luck. Many of the nicer ones only go up to 10 regular or narrow.
quartz Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 size 10 or 10.5 US size 40 1/2 or 41 euro i think about a 7.5 UK, don't own any UK. open back shoes (mules) i can sometimes wear a 9.5 / 40 FOH and similar spikes i need an 11 or 12
Joak Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 Well I've quite big feet - Size 12UK or 46eur or 14 US-Women. Well, not easy to get the heels you want in this size.... or it's at least quite expensive! best wishes Joak
Phoenix Posted January 21, 2002 Posted January 21, 2002 Just getting the hang of this posting stuff so . . . for boots size 10 women US size 40 1/2 euro, i think about a 7.5 UK, calf size is a problem Spike heels I need a 9 or 10 womens depending on the heel height
BobHH Posted January 21, 2002 Posted January 21, 2002 US women's 12 or 13 in open shoes, 14 in boots.
Robert Posted January 23, 2002 Posted January 23, 2002 I take a size 43 (eur), sometimes size 42 (I think it's size 9 (uk) and 8 respectively) Boots, fascinating footwear http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i103/Boots_1956/
Beeblebrox Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 I wear mostly 41 euro, 8uk, 10 usw. So I´m one of the lucky ones too. Its amazing that it can differ one size up and down between brands and sometimes more rarely even within the same brand. Nowadys I almost always tryes the boots on before buying them, but back in the days I didnt it was a gambling on high levels if they would fit or not, some waisted money therefor.
Yamyam Posted January 28, 2002 Posted January 28, 2002 Yeah, the sizes do seem to vary. I've got some size 7s, some size 8s, and I nearly bought a pair of size 9s, as it was the only size I could get into in that size. I think it depends on how narrow and/or pointed the shoe or boot is. Wider styles are easier than ultra-pointed ones for me, as I've got slightly wide feet. But trying them on is so much fun I can't complain ! Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
Firefox Posted January 29, 2002 Author Posted January 29, 2002 Too right Yam Yam. Join us on one of our UK shoe shop outings sometime! The narrow width in women's styles is often a killer. Bear in mind that in certain styles, your toes are meant to be squashed in. I don't accept that, and I'll modify the shoe mechanically to fit or buy a larger size. Many use their feet to modify shoes with disasterous results.
keels Posted January 29, 2002 Posted January 29, 2002 My size varies with the shape of the shoe. With a pointed toe I generally need a size 9UK; for a square toe shoe, as I bought last week, a size 8UK is normally OK.
