kneehighs

Recommended Posts

Hi @Peter1

I came across these by incident. They are very comfortable. I needed to get used to the wedge a bit as it is a bit flexible. I mean it tends to compress a bit when you are going to stand on it. This can be prevented by tightening the laces better, this fixates your foot better. They need a bit of cracking in. I have worn them for a day now and by the end of the day they walked much better.

Great looking boots!  I'd wear them with no hesitation.  The sole looks like it is designed for ice and snow but is to upper going to take that kind of use without really getting messed up?

They are waterproof. I woud  go out in them for sure. They should be designed for rough weather. however I am not going to test that. These were € 200.  I 'd hate to see them ruined by myself testing them. The fun thing is these are size 42 EU and I am size 44, they fit me well and give my feet enough spece to walk.

Not testing them sounds like a good idea, at least not while they are still new.  I this you first experience with round toe boots?  They do have a lot more room than the pointy toe versions.  I find I have to go up two sizes if the boot has a pointy toe.

No It is not my first expericene with round toe boots. I prefer round toes over pointy ones. I took a bit of a guess when ordering them. It turned out right. I have not taken them out yet. But I soon will. I alos saw a pair with 6 cm heel. I moght buy those aswell.

If you mean the Timberland 10" lace up boot they may not be waterproof, but they do look sharp.

yes that is the style I mean. I also saw them in a 14 inch version. Those might be a copy of the original though.

Today I received a pair of biker jeans. I decided to combine them with my orchard ankle boots. This is the result.
Comments are welcome.

@Thighbootguy I agree. I am allready searching for a pair of matching kneehigh boots. However I can't decide on a color. Black, blue or tan. I have seen some boots by Sendra or Shabbies. The investment is quite high approximate € 250.

Both the Sendra and Shabbies lines have great looking quality boots but there are less expensive boots available.  There is a subtle balance between quality and quantity.  I tend to go for a larger number of less expensive boots and fewer expensive ones.   As for the color: Black, blue or tan... the answer is yes

gj, I like the blue leather jeans. I like to wear leather too. I have a pair of women's blue metallic looking jeans that I wear out, with my ankle boots. It's a nice combo, to wear heeling.

Happy Heeling,

bluejay.

Great looking boots.  Go to the extra effort to keep them looking new.  With that light a color it can be a challenge.

Some new pictures of my New Look ankle boots with some bootcut jeans. Maybe good for a first time out I find the courage....

I like the look. You could easy go out in these. Bootcut jeans are a good place to start. If you walk with confidence, no one will notice. most of thema are looking on the screen of their smartphone anyway.

Thanks for your comments gj ! I think i need to be out of my town to have the courage for going out with this outfit, on a business trip or something like that! Moreover the heel height is higher than expected for a first outing with "real" heels ( I already went out few times with some wedges sneakers without problems as the heel is completely hidden)

hi @bluejay correct. I'm still on the loookout for a blue metalic pair of jeans. I have not been able to find one yet. Where did you get yours?

gj, I got those metallic looking jeans, last year from a women's web site called, Jessica London.com. They were on clearance then and I don't think they are still available any more. I don't know if they ship to your country, but you could check, with an e-mail to them.

Happy Heeling,

bluejay

First, those are great looking booties especially with the jeans.

Second, where are you looking for your "courage"?  I'm sure a lot of new heelers would like to know where you find it.

I suggest that the courage is already within.  You have to really believe that you look good wearing those booties (and you do), and then project that confidence when you wear them.  If you are wearing a "I hope nobody notices" expression, people will look closely at you to figure out why your looking that way.  If, on the other hand, you are projecting a confident "I look good" expression, people will accept it.  By the way, no one will notice those booties when worn with jeans.  People ate too tied up with themselves to notice something that blends in that well.

Enjoy your heels.
