Thighbootguy Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Kimel Design Studio "List" boots There is only a size 6 and an 11 left and they say they will not be restocking these. They are good looking boots. It must be nice to have someone at work that thinks heels are cool. As always, I enjoy your posts. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
Shafted Posted July 11, 2006 Author Posted July 11, 2006 Thanks, Thighbootguy. It's a shame these are being discontinued and that Zappos is clearing them out, as it really is an awesome boot both in looks and in comfort. Shafted, the boots that is! Dawn HH Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Shafted:-) I concur with what you say about hosiery making ladies pumps and boots feel and fit better. That's one reason why I wear pantyhose daily. I also have one of those leather punches that you have and they come in handy lots of times for a lot of things. Very handy for punching additional holes in belts and purse straps to get a customized fit. I'm really looking forward to seeing pics of you in your new shoes and boots. Shafted Posted July 21, 2006 Author Posted July 21, 2006 Well, it's been a very interesting week of firsts for me. To begin with, I have worn my new Ellie 5" ankle strap stiletto pumps to the theatre with nude kneehighs. I was working in the concession again this night last week. This rather unusual guy came to the window and ordered his stuff. As I was filling his order I noticed him giving me what I can only describe as an odd look. About 10 minutes later he came back to the window, and initiated the following short conversation with me. Him: I don't mean to offend you or anything, and I don't want you to take this the wrong way, (you can probably imagine what might be going through my mind at this point) but I'm a retired female impersonator looking for new talent. I wondered if you would be interested. I politely turned him down telling him that I really just enjoy wearing high heels. Now the next morning I tell one of my coworkers at my day job what happened to which we had the following exchange. Her: You know, there is a guy who retired to here who was a rather notable Las Vegas female impersonator. What did he look like? After I described him, her response was, "That's him!" Now for any of you inquiring why I didn't jump at this opportunity, the short and only real answer is I didn't have the time to commit to it. If I had the time I think it would have been a real hoot to do. I kind of felt bad for the guy, because him seeing me in heels he clearly recognized what he percieved to be natural talent, only to be turned down. I'm sure despite my heel wearing I would still need a lot of work before I would be a presentable female impersonator. And at this point I thought I had heard it all. This week the theatre is shut down for the local "Egg Festival" so I have been working as one of the main venue projectionist for the Maine International Film Festival. Sunday was a marathon day for me in the projection booth at the Waterville Opera House. My first movie started at 3:30PM and my last one ended at around 10:45PM with only enough time between movies to rewind and set up the next movie. And of course I was wearing heels, but enough about my heels. On the way home, as I was driving through downtown Fairfield at around 11:15PM I noticed a lone guy walking on the sidewalk wearing baggy highwater pants, baggy shirt, backwards baseball cap and what looked like a nice pair of beige suede lace up stiletto boots with a 3-4 inch shiny black heel. I was tempted to stop and compliment him on his boots and to recommend that if he really wants to wear them to ditch the baggy clothes and the ball cap, but thought better of it. I figured that this guy was out for a joy walk and probably doesn't wear them in public during the day. If I'd stopped he'd probably have run like the wind fearing that he'd been caught. BTW: I haven't forgotten your request for pics Dawn, just haven't had the opportunity to get any yet. Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted July 24, 2006 Author Posted July 24, 2006 I took my Two Lips boots to my local cobbler today to see what he could do about the cracked heel block. He said he used to be able to do it, but now he can't get the parts. It's one of those good news bad news things. First the bad news. He can't fix them. Now the good news. Due to the way the heel is constructed it's still safe to walk on. The construction of the heel is that the spike is insert molded into the heel block so that despite the crack the structural integrity of the heel remains. It looks like they aren't dead yet. Dawn HH Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Shafted:-) That man at the threatre that ask you if you would like to become a female impersonator no doubt recognized your talent for walking in heels, and made you the offer. What a fantastic story. It could have been a hoot for you. And I fully understand about the pics. Your a very busy man these days with all of your activities. Shafted Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 Thanks, Dawn! Well, I had a real interesting reaction from a couple that came up to the concession counter. As I was filling their order the following conversdation took place. Him: I like your boots. Me: Thank you. Him: That's amazing! You do things in those boots like no woman I have ever seen. You have raised wearing heels to a fine art. Her: I could never wear anything like that. Me: Oh, sure you could. It just takes the desire to wear them and lots of practice. I'd take that as a compliment, and from a guy even. Yep, that made my day. Shafted, the boots that is! dr1819 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Interesting question, I suppose if he peruses this forum, he might have taken cues from me on street heeling in Maine. Perhaps we ought to have generic cards printed up, and whenever we see another man wearing heels (almost ten times for me) we can hand them a card.
Shafted Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 While working concession last night at the movie theatre, I turned to look out through the foyer to the box office, when I saw an amazing sight. A beautiful woman in a white blouse and burgundy skirt suit was purchasing a ticket. She had blonde hair neatly up in a bun and a beautiful pair of 3 inch classic black stiletto pumps. A few minutes later she came to the concession window. Me: Beautiful shoes! Her: Thanks. Me: It isn't often I see women wearing them. Her: There a lot of fun. Me: Oh, I agree. I continued about the business of filling her order. I don't know if she saw what I was wearing or not. If she did, she didn't let on even in her body language. Of course I was also wearing my Two Lips 3.5 inch stiletto boots. I know that in many parts of the world this would be an everyday experience, but here it's pretty rare. Shafted, the boots that is! johnieheel Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 That is so cool Shafted. Hi, I'm Johnieheel. My Girlfriend bought me a pair of Tommy Hill knee highs with a 3"block heel an which I wore to a gun show in cleveland, wallmart, around local and just about every where else and did not get one comment. I even ran into a couple of co-workers at kmart. One girl noticed and said something to another at work which was no big deal cause it aint no secret with me. I have this thing about letting everybody know I have a thing for heels so it doesn't come as a shock to them when they see me in them. You are right about getting brave and street heeling. Life is great after you try it once you won't stop. If you can't be your self, than who can you be and we can't let women have all the fun, now can we? happy heeling bro. Oh I forgot to mention when I was trying them on at the shoe store, I had to kick off my mary janes and it gave two older women a nice little supprise. I have had alot of fun trying on heels and get a kick out of peoples reactions.hahaha real men wear heels
Elegant Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Nice looking boots, I'd definitely want to wear them. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!

Shafted Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 Well, I finally have something noteworthy to report here from the past week. The first is that I have been invited to a "GIRLS night out" from a bunch of women that I work with at my day job with the stipulation that I wear any pair of my stiletto boots, and that they can get me on the dance floor in them. I said, "Sure, but how many guys have you asked on a girls night out?" to which she responded, "You're the first." Talking to some of my male coworkers about it they asked me if I was going to go. I responded by saying,"Wouldn't you?" and one ofther other guys says, "Hell Yea! I think it would be a blast." So here's to a rare opportunity given to a guy. :drinking: For the longest time now when I have been parked between my day and night jobs, I have noticed a very well dressed and attractive woman, who is always the one to close up the nearby bank. She always has on a range of kitten to stiletto pumps and slings that always look fantastic. Today I had to go into the bank to cash a couple of checks. And while I was at one of the teller window, I noticed she was serviceing the drive thru window and that she had on a pair of beautiful 3 inch stiletto mules. To my surprise she walked over next to the teller that was taking care of me. I initiated the following conversation. Me: I love your shoes. Her: Thank you! (her face lighting up like a christmas tree) Me: I can't help but to always check out what you are wearing on your feet when you leave the bank at the end of the day. It's always something beautiful. Her: (Indicating that she has seen me looking) I'm a shoe person and I love my shoes. Attractive, well dressed, great shoes and married I don't think she even saw the black patent 3.5 inch stiletto boots I had on, but she probably did when I walked away. In any case I think I really made her day. Shafted, the boots that is! NewfieGuyInHeels Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Hey all. I'm here just after a night shift from work. And like a couple weeks ago, I went to the neighbouring department store before my shift to check out the shoes/boots. Mostly the same stuff but they had in some more of these kneehigh black pleather boots, with a 4 inch chunky-ish heel and a rounded squared toe... if that makes sence. Now in the past I haven't had much luck with kneehigh boots fitting my 17 inch calves without laces to let them out. But I tempted fate and tried them on, figureing if they didn't do up all the way my pant leg would hide it anyway. So as I started zipping them up, I found they were a bit stretchy, and to my joyous surprise, I got them up all the way I couldn't believe it! Well at that point I was sold. I really wasn't looking to spend $45 (CDN) on boots but with only one size 10 there, I went for it. The cashier, who I know from my mother working there, looked at them and said jokingly "they won't fit you" I just chuckled and said "you'd be surpised" She smiled then I felt the need to cover my tracks (cause for those of you who don't know my parents aren't accepting... not even tolerable to my heel wearing) So I told her "You never saw me here" She winked and said "Not a problem, mum's the word" So I left for my shift, working the whole time I couldn't wait to leave and put on my new find for the walk home. Just thought I'd share my experiance. After it's light I'll take a couple pics and post them. Laters! http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j78/darthraze/
drumitt Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Ah. Another Canadian! How do you get that little picture under your name whar you post? I don't understand the "Avatar" thing?
jmc Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 . . . How do you get that little picture under your name whar you post?. . . That little picture is an "avatar". It is an image file that resides on a server somewhere accessible on the Internet. A lot of members here use Photobucket to host images, some of our ISP's include Web-space in their Internet deals. Whatever you use for image hosting, just enter the URL of your avatar image in your "profile" page. Please keep avatars small--no larger than 163 pixels wide by 110 pixels high to prevent your avatar from messing up the composition of forum pages on everybody's screen. There are a number of software packages that can be used to re-size an image. This mechanism is similar to that which is used to post pictures here on the board -- the image is hosted on another server somewhere and your post contains a link to that image. Have a happy time!
sendra45 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 please remember to keep you avators to the correct size, if you have trouble resizing, PM me and I will do it for you. Nigel. The angels have the phonebox.
dr1819 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Newfie, it's always nice when there's someone who's willing to help cover our tracks. When I first began wearing heels in Vegas, there was one store that catered to larger sizes, especially to those who performed in the various shows there in Vegas. At first she seemed a bit apprehensive, but when I explained that I simply enjoyed wearing heels, both for what they did for my ankle, as well as the fact I liked the way they looked, she relaxed, and realized I wasn't some kind of pervert. Most guys who buy heels in her store do so to wear in the shows in Vegas. She also related to me that almost all of them are "very gay." It was when laughed, then told her, "well, I'm happily married, with a newborn," that she lightened up. After that, she would let me try on heels in the back, and if I found something I really liked, but couldn't find it in my size, she would do her best to find me a suitable alternative, which I would usually buy. At that time, I really didn't know what I wanted to wear, so I ran the gamut of various styles, including stilettos, sandals, boots, loafers, etc. Eventually I settled on the discrete hh boot as my hh shoe of choice. I think, all told, I probably ordered just seven pair from her. But it does seem like I spent a fair amount of time in her store!
Shafted Posted May 23, 2011 Author Posted May 23, 2011 Well, I thought it was about time to get this old thread up and running again. I have many more stiletto boots and pumps since my last post here. The manager and her daughter are still here at the theatre, others have left, new ones have come and gone. My wearing of stiletto heels has become somewhat of a trademark for me. I have recently lost 30 pounds strictly from vitamin supplementation using optimum daily intake rather than the governments recommended daily intake and dietary iodine supplementation. I feeling great and I can never remember a time in my life when I could tuck in a shirt and it looked great. Form fitting clothing now looks good on me which is a bonus when wearing stilettos I think. A friend of mine recently reenforced something that awile back I think Dawn and Bubba had said. He told me flat out that I have great influence over people around me. That people have alot respect for me because I choose to live my life on my own terms. He said he has never met a guy with more nads than me. That I don't tolorate BS from the management at the day job I walked out on made people there stand up and take notice. Others are now experiencing the BS they tried to give me, when I told the plant manager "I'm sorry _____, but you seem to be under the impression that I need this job." That day was as liberating as wearing my stilettos in public for the first time. I really have to thank my heels wearing and everyone here who helped me do it. The experience has instilled a confidence that doesn't go away even when I take my heels off. Kneehighs once asked me in NYC how heels made me feel to which I replied "Powerful!" My confidence has given me the ability to get frisky with my style and last night's work at the theatre is an example. I decided to wear my purple glitter pumps from the highest heel. I decided to wear them with beige thigh highs, my international male jeans and a purple tie dye Mountain tee with michaelanglo's creation from the ceiling of the sisteen chapel on it. When I arrived at the theatre my coworker was absolutly astonished at the shoes. I don't wear them very often because I feel they scream look at me. The manager came in later with her mother and daughter. They all thought they were beautiful and the daughter loved them. As a dancer I think she probably gravitates to the sparkly stuff. Anyhow, pix of the shoes are here. http://www.hhplace.org/guys/19366-girliest_shoe_you_have-9.html Shafted, the boots that is! Shafted Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Well tonight I decided to get a little daring with my attire. I wore the Ellie 511-Ally boots in my avatar with black Lycra/Spandex leggings and a black (now oversized) Orange County Choppers Tee which falls to my crotch. It was a little daring but very comfortable outfit. Headed off to see my friend and wound up jamming with him and another friend of his after finishing surgery on his Gibson guitar. Having to replace two noisy pots for tone and volume. It's was only the second time I've played drums. I usually play keyboards. After a few hours it was time to head off for work at the movie theatre. When I showed up at the movie theatre my coworker was already there. As I was coming in I pointed down indicating what I was wearing. She hadn't seen these boots before. I rarely wear them. The spandex leggings are really the best option that I currently have available to wear with these boots. Got a few giggles from a few teenaged girls. But for the most part it was a non event. This is pretty typical nowadays. People have become conditioned to my heels and generally treat me like anyone else. It really seems like it is no big deal for people. Shafted, the boots that is! Its always good to find another kindred spirit. The spandex leggings are really the best option that I currently have available to wear with these boots. They do work very well with thigh boots especially if they are the same color since there is no contrasting break to draw attention. The fact that you had to point out that you were wearing thigh boots attests to that. Another good option is jeans. I'm glad that you back posting again. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
Shafted Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 Another good option is jeans. I'm glad that you back posting again. I really need a pair of skin tight jeans to wear with thighboots. And make sure you buy a size that will be good and tight on you. I wear a size 14 and they're real tight on me! And the relatively high waist in a winner for me too! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
