Well, sad to say the girls night out didn't happen this weekend due to the rainy weather. It kind of puts a damper on the bar hopping.

Hey all. I'm here just after a night shift from work. And like a couple weeks ago, I went to the neighbouring department store before my shift to check out the shoes/boots. Mostly the same stuff but they had in some more of these kneehigh black pleather boots, with a 4 inch chunky-ish heel and a rounded squared toe... if that makes sence. Now in the past I haven't had much luck with kneehigh boots fitting my 17 inch calves without laces to let them out. But I tempted fate and tried them on, figureing if they didn't do up all the way my pant leg would hide it anyway. So as I started zipping them up, I found they were a bit stretchy, and to my joyous surprise, I got them up all the way  I couldn't believe it! Well at that point I was sold. I really wasn't looking to spend $45 (CDN) on boots but with only one size 10 there, I went for it. The cashier, who I know from my mother working there, looked at them and said jokingly "they won't fit you" I just chuckled and said "you'd be surpised" She smiled then I felt the need to cover my tracks (cause for those of you who don't know my parents aren't accepting... not even tolerable to my heel wearing) So I told her "You never saw me here" She winked and said "Not a problem, mum's the word" So I left for my shift, working the whole time I couldn't wait to leave and put on my new find for the walk home. Just thought I'd share my experiance. After it's light I'll take a couple pics and post them. Laters!

. . . How do you get that little picture under your name whar you post?. . .

That little picture is an "avatar". It is an image file that resides on a server somewhere accessible on the Internet. A lot of members here use Photobucket to host images, some of our ISP's include Web-space in their Internet deals. Whatever you use for image hosting, just enter the URL of your avatar image in your "profile" page. Please keep avatars small--no larger than 163 pixels wide by 110 pixels high to prevent your avatar from messing up the composition of forum pages on everybody's screen. There are a number of software packages that can be used to re-size an image.

This mechanism is similar to that which is used to post pictures here on the board -- the image is hosted on another server somewhere and your post contains a link to that image.

Have a happy time!

Newfie, it's always nice when there's someone who's willing to help cover our tracks. When I first began wearing heels in Vegas, there was one store that catered to larger sizes, especially to those who performed in the various shows there in Vegas. At first she seemed a bit apprehensive, but when I explained that I simply enjoyed wearing heels, both for what they did for my ankle, as well as the fact I liked the way they looked, she relaxed, and realized I wasn't some kind of pervert. Most guys who buy heels in her store do so to wear in the shows in Vegas. She also related to me that almost all of them are "very gay." It was when laughed, then told her, "well, I'm happily married, with a newborn," that she lightened up. After that, she would let me try on heels in the back, and if I found something I really liked, but couldn't find it in my size, she would do her best to find me a suitable alternative, which I would usually buy. At that time, I really didn't know what I wanted to wear, so I ran the gamut of various styles, including stilettos, sandals, boots, loafers, etc. Eventually I settled on the discrete hh boot as my hh shoe of choice. I think, all told, I probably ordered just seven pair from her. But it does seem like I spent a fair amount of time in her store!

Well, I thought it was about time to get this old thread up and running again. I have many more stiletto boots and pumps since my last post here. The manager and her daughter are still here at the theatre, others have left, new ones have come and gone.

My wearing of stiletto heels has become somewhat of a trademark for me. I have recently lost 30 pounds strictly from vitamin supplementation using optimum daily intake rather than the governments recommended daily intake and dietary iodine supplementation. I feeling great and I can never remember a time in my life when I could tuck in a shirt and it looked great. Form fitting clothing now looks good on me which is a bonus when wearing stilettos I think.

A friend of mine recently reenforced something that awile back I think Dawn and Bubba had said. He told me flat out that I have great influence over people around me. That people have alot respect for me because I choose to live my life on my own terms. He said he has never met a guy with more nads than me. That I don't tolorate BS from the management at the day job I walked out on made people there stand up and take notice. Others are now experiencing the BS they tried to give me, when I told the plant manager "I'm sorry _____, but you seem to be under the impression that I need this job." That day was as liberating as wearing my stilettos in public for the first time.

I really have to thank my heels wearing and everyone here who helped me do it. The experience has instilled a confidence that doesn't go away even when I take my heels off.

Kneehighs once asked me in NYC how heels made me feel to which I replied "Powerful!"

My confidence has given me the ability to get frisky with my style and last night's work at the theatre is an example.

I decided to wear my purple glitter pumps from the highest heel. I decided to wear them with beige thigh highs, my international male jeans and a purple tie dye Mountain tee with michaelanglo's creation from the ceiling of the sisteen chapel on it.

When I arrived at the theatre my coworker was absolutly astonished at the shoes. I don't wear them very often because I feel they scream look at me.

The manager came in later with her mother and daughter. They all thought they were beautiful and the daughter loved them. As a dancer I think she probably gravitates to the sparkly stuff. Anyhow, pix of the shoes are here.

Well tonight I decided to get a little daring with my attire. I wore the Ellie 511-Ally boots in my avatar with black Lycra/Spandex leggings and a black (now oversized) Orange County Choppers Tee which falls to my crotch. It was a little daring but very comfortable outfit. Headed off to see my friend and wound up jamming with him and another friend of his after finishing surgery on his Gibson guitar. Having to replace two noisy pots for tone and volume. It's was only the second time I've played drums. I usually play keyboards. After a few hours it was time to head off for work at the movie theatre. When I showed up at the movie theatre my coworker was already there. As I was coming in I pointed down indicating what I was wearing. She hadn't seen these boots before. I rarely wear them. The spandex leggings are really the best option that I currently have available to wear with these boots. Got a few giggles from a few teenaged girls. But for the most part it was a non event. This is pretty typical nowadays. People have become conditioned to my heels and generally treat me like anyone else. It really seems like it is no big deal for people.

I hadn't realized you were into music. Its always good to find another kindred spirit.

They do work very well with thigh boots especially if they are the same color since there is no contrasting break to draw attention. The fact that you had to point out that you were wearing thigh boots attests to that. Another good option is jeans.

I'm glad that you back posting again.

I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

I really need a pair of skin tight jeans to wear with thighboots. The ones I currently have tend to bunch up at the top of the boot. That is why I opted for the leggings instead.

Try Gloria Vanderbilt "Amanda" Jeans, Shafted. That's what I wear with my thigh boots and they work very well. And make sure you buy a size that will be good and tight on you. I wear a size 14 and they're real tight on me! And the relatively high waist in a winner for me too!

I've had one outing in thighboots over my women's jeans that I was wearing. I also wore a very long, over-sized sweater with it. Thighboots make my legs feel so good when I wear them. And with the very snug, narrow-legged jeans I was wearing, they made my legs feel even better. I had some great reactions, too.

Well last night I wore black levis 501 jeans with my Cole Haan bronze python kneehigh boots on the outside of my jeans. I wore a Mountain tee with a dragon breathing fire (lot of reds oranges and maroons in it). The boots only have a 3 inch spike heel and I feel like I'm wearing flats in them, but they are truly a thing of beauty. I find I actually like the look of a knee high boot on the outside of the jeans with the jeans bunching up at the knees a bit. I think that bunching at the knees is appropriate. With thighboots however bunching up of jeans on the thigh would be a no-no. To me it just looks bad, sloppy really. A friend of mine told me that the other guy we jammed with last time took issue with the way I was dressed which he had kept to himself until after I left for work. My friend explained to him in some depth why I wear heels. But the thing that really stuck in my head was that he told him that if there is one person on this entire world who is a great friend, that it's me. I didn't need to hear it, but it was good just the same. And the other guy is cool with it now. And to top off the evening while working the concessions at the theatre an absolutely gorgeous young black woman said softly to me, "I love your boots" to which I graciuosly thanked her for while ringing up her order.

If you don't mind posting the info, what size mens' jeans would you wear; waist/length? I'd have to internet-order, so the mens'/womens' size comparison would be most helplful.

Well, just got back from my job at the theatre. I was working in the box office tonight. I had several people waiting at the door when I arrived for work. Several people must have seen me in my new Romantic Soles 4" pewter stiletto pumps as I unlocked the door and went in. While selling tickets a family of four came in. The mother was purchasing the tickets. The 10ish son who could barely see over the ticket counter then asked me why I was wearing high heels. Smiling at him I handed him my favorite answer "Because I can." I have to wonder if I'm imprinting a message into young minds that men wearing high heels is okay.

Children, teenagers and adults have all responded to my self confidence for the most part. I know that many guys here who wear heels in public don't quite know how to deal with kids responding to their heel wearing. I have almost a cult following here where adults and teenagers alike can't wait to see what I wearing on my feet. When it was new to them, I got dozens of questions which I cordially answered. Many of the teenagers now think it's pretty cool. It's been a long time since teenagers tried to hassle me. I didn't take long for them to figure out I'm bulletproof.

Well tonight hanging out with friends before going to work at the theatre I had an interesting experience with the guy who was a bit unsure about me at first. He said to his daughter that he knew a guy who wore prettier high heels than her. His daughter told him, "No way." So he asked if he could snap a cellphone photo of my shoes as proof. I said sure and he did. My feet were adorned with nude knee highs, black fishnet ankle socks with a white bow detail on the ankle cuff topped off with my Frederick's of Hollywood black pinstripe 4 inch stiletto pumps. Boy did I pick the perfect night the wear those ankle socks with the shoes.

Last night was a busy night at the theatre. Monday night is dollar night so we really pack the butts in the seats. I was wearing new blue levis jeans and mist (taupe) stockings with my Romantic Soles stiletto pumps in pewter with my theatre shirt. It turned out to be a three compliment night. The first came from a young boy who was a little shy to say anything but was apparently admiring my shoes. His father (a former coworker) said that his son thought that my shoes were cool. I reponded that some people seem to get transfixed on my shoes to which he reponded, "I can't imagine why." The second came from a young girl waiting in the concession line after the movie had started. As I was unlocking the remainder of the front doors to conform with fire code, a young girl said that she really liked my shoes. The third came as the movie was getting out. Two women came to me and said that they always look forward to seeing what I'm wearing for shoes. I happily displayed a shoe for them. The public has come to be fully accepting of me wearing high heels. Many thoroughly enjoy seeing me in high heels. Many are indifferent. It is extremely rare to get a negative reaction. The key to acceptance for me has been to put my best foot forward (pun intended) and totally shatter thier mental image of a man in stiletto heels. If it can be done in a small town in rural Maine, it can be done anywhere. Cities are even easier. Well until next time, Happy Heeling!

Well last night was a live bluegrass performance by The Bill Thibideau Band. I was working stage lighting for the 4 hour show. I wore my new levis with my black Pittsfield Community Theatre work tee with flourescent green lettering, black pointelle knee high socks with my leopard and black patent Fredericks of Hollywood 4 inch stiletto pumps. I got a comment from the banjo player from the band before showtime. Him: Nice shoes. Me: Thanks! A good friend tells me that central Maine is a great place to be yourself. He said the whole area is full of people that just choose to be themselves for whatever reason. I have to agree with him based on just my own personal experiences. So for anyone who doesn't feel that their environment isn't condusive to heeling in public, try my neck of the woods. Happy Heeling!

Well another cool night at the theatre. Got a great compliment while unlocking the front door to comply with fire code. As I was unlocking the last door Two young women were walking by on the sidewalk. One said, "I like your shoes" to which I responded with a thank you and a smile. The other one who stayed silent absolutely beamed a big smile my way. I also had one of those rare opportunities to compliment a women on her heels. At the time she couldn't see my pewter stiletto pumps, but I saw her 3 inch blue patent mary janes's. She thanked me with a look like, "this has never happened before". I'm sure she saw what I was wearing before the night was over.

I had a very sobering afternoon today. I had to get into Pittsfield early to take care of some things. I wore black levis with my theatre tee, black stockings and my Frederick's black pinstripe/black patent 4inch stiletto pumps. Started by visiting a gir lfriends apartment to measure up her door for a screen door. I then headed off to Villiage Pizzaria for a 12 inch thin crust mushroom and hamburg pizza with a chocolate milk. Mmmm sustanace! Then it was off to the theatre to make some adjustments to the split door with drop counter I made for the concession area so that on busy nights we could have two serving windows. Still had plenty of time as the adjustments took far less time than expected, so I went up to Big Bill's ice cream for two scoops of dutch chocolate in a dish. Still had plenty of time left so I went back to my truck parked in front of the theatre and worked on some sudokus. Here's the part I referred to as sobering. The young woman (girl) that said she liked my shoes and the other one from yesterday that was with her passed by and she again complimented my shoes saying, "I still love your shoes. "to which I responded with a very sincere "Thank you." As they were leaving I then noticed that she was suffering from severe hair loss. My heart went out to her. As they were walking away I noticed that they had their names printed on the back of their MCI (Maine Central Institute) tees. It really hurts to see this happen to such a sweet young woman. Later in the evening when at work when my boss and her daughter with one of her girlfriends arrived I ask them if they knew these girls. And they all said that they did. The daughter explained to me that she had some desease that caused her hair to stop growing. This was something that she would have to deal with for the rest of her life. A little later the daughter and her girlfriend decided to take a walk around town. Some time later they came back. They told me that they encountered the two girls and engaged them in conversation. Now before I lay out the jist of the conversation they had as it was given to me you have to understand that the daughter and her girlfriend have a bit of a reputation for being mean girls. And I'm sure everyone has encountered these types as they tend to transend the academic ages. Okay now for what they talked about as it was given me. Well for starters me and of course my shoes. And then it was followed by a disbelief that thay would even have engaged them in conversation by the daughter and her girlfriend. They came away really liking this sweet girl. It was truly heart warming. Okay enough before I have you all sobing like a bunch of little girls.

Got into Pittsfield early for work tonight so I walked up to Big Bill's ice cream for a double dutch chocalate. I was of course wearing my theatre tee with a pair of International Male dragon apllique jeans with my 4" Miss Tina black suede kneehigh stiletto boots with a gold heel and sole and gold piping. I noticed an older couple sitting at one of the picnic tables as I walked by, a couple of teenaged girls and a teenaged boy. Went to the order window to place my order and pay. While I was waiting I parked myself in one of the adirondack chairs. When my order was up I went to retrieve it at the pick-up window then decided to return to the same chair to enjoy it. The teenaged girls were giggling about something maybe me but I didn't care. Then I noticed they had there cellphones showing each other something, maybe me, still didn't care. A few minutes later they left. After they left the older gentleman eagerly approached me. He quietly explained to me that he was transgendered, a doctor and came to Maine to transistion with full support of his wife. He asked if I was from around here and about the environment here in Maine. I knew what he meant. I gave him the tolorance vs. acceptance speech although rather abbrevriated. I let him know that I work at the theatre just down the street. I also explained to him that I just like to wear stiletto heels. He seemed to be very enthusiastic about encountering someone like myself who was so relaxed wearing high heels as a guy. I think that I'll be seeing more of him. At least I hope to. He knows where to find me.

What a very heartening sight you must have been to that gentleman. I would imagine he was fearful of encountering prejudice in his new location, your confidence and expression of fashion freedom has probably done him the world of good. I'm proud of you.

High heels are the shoes I choose to put on, respect my choice as I repect yours.

Well I just got back from the theatre. I was wearing new Levis 505's with my theatre tee. As it was rainy I decided to wear my Sketchers Somethin' Fuse ankle boots in black patent(PVC) with a 3.5 inch stiletto heel. I worked with the manager tonight and her daughter was with her. A teenaged boy came in to shoot the breeze with them. I was in the process of changing out of my boots into "more sensable" shoes in order to do the marquis. Him: I could wear those. Me: Oh yeah, what size are you? After discussing sizing, I let him try them out. For his first time he did pretty good, but he was walking like he'd been in the saddle too long. Him: Hey I'm rockin' these boots. Him talking to the daughter: Do you want your boots back? Daughter: There not mine they're his! We all got a good chuckle out of that.

Well time for an update on recent happenings. A little while back we lost help at the theatre as she was headed off for college. In the vacuum left we hired a replacement. The manager wanted me in on the hiring process. After the application review was complete we went on to granting interviews. The guy we wound up hiring did not see me in high heels the day of his interview. For whatever reason I was only wearing a pair of 2 inch cuban heeled ankle boots. Anyways the next time he saw me was after he had been hired and I was wearing my 5 inch black suede stiletto knee boots with the gold heel, sole and piping. Got a few questions but he seemed cool with it. I any case I suspect he has heard of me before from his teenaged daughter. The other night I was wearing my 3 inch Cole Haan bronze python spike heel knee boots. Got a compliment from a young blond woman at the concession area while I was filling her order. Her: I love your boots! Me: Thank you. Her: Where did you get them? Me: DSW, Union Square, New York. Then it was time for the next customer.
