I had always been interested in wedge sneakers myself, but couldn't bring myself to pay so much for the Dunk SkyHi wedges...

Fortunately, I found the Converse Lux MidWedge sneakers at their outlet locations for no more than $30 each!

The wedges are no more than 3", but they are super comfortable.

@KneeBooted Very nice looking converse sneakers!

i also have an old pair of wedges sneakers from Le coq sportif, and they are extremely comfortable and discrete (6cm heel height). In fact it's the only pair of shoes with heel I have manage to wore in public few years ago!!

  2. New pair of boots! I wanted a "wearable outside"  pair with low heel! In fact I'm almost disappointed of the small heel height (4,5cm but with 1cm platform on the toes).

i think they look like man boots so normally discrete outside.

I order it in UK9 but they are a bit too large.

    Regards

Those boots look VERY masculine. The lug soles make it look that way, much more than the high heel makes it look feminine. Almost nobody will know they're women's shoes, and if they do, it's someone who knows shoes. Maybe one of us! Strike up a nice conversation!

You'll have no problems wearing them in public. Thanks for sharing your post.

    Steve

Thanks for your nice comment @Steve63130!

I will try to do my best to beat this fear from the outing in public ! (Maybe at first with an other pair with less heel height)

I would even go as far as suggest men will ask you where you got your boots. It happens a lot when I have boots on.

Thanks @Cali i hope that you say will be true :)

    They look fab!

Chunky is the right word for these, they go well with your trousers.

And that's a great plus having them rubber and silent. Will you be wearing them out?

I too just LOVE new look's heels & boots!

Thank you @jeremy1986! Not for the moment for wearing them out, but I will try to do my best tu push myself a bit more!

i really like NL shoes too, not only for the price but also for the great look of them and quality for the price , and their large sizes for almost all the collection ! It's impressive because sometimes the UK9 is too large for my feet !

I believe they are called lug sole, nice. I just bought a pair of blue velvet boots with lug soles like these. I hope they fit.

Thank you @Cali don't hesitate to post pics of your new purchase :)

Nice booties, Peter1.  Something I would wear for sure!  I do wear boots like those out and about - but typically with longer jeans that cover the heel for the most part.  If you wish not to be easily noticed (as am I), try a pair of longer, more boot cut style jeans so the heels are not so conspicuous and give them a go outside.  You'll enjoy it!

Thanks for your nice comment and your advice RonC!

i have a bootcut jeans (I already add some pictures of it with an other pair of ankle boots) that will surely cover a part of the heels but the fear is also present with that ^^

For the moment I wear my heels at home. Slowly but surely I start to be accustomed to see me wearing heels, which help me thinking that is a "normal thing"

Peter- Don't feel too guilty, how could you possibly resist those booties!  Looking so fine with the jeans....Good for you!

@pebblesf Thanks for your comment ! Yes but now I have the as many heels as flat men shoes and I don't wear heels out for the moment (afraid of public view and to cross people I know)

  7. Hello everybody,

these are my new ankle boots...from New Look (like the 3 others pairs I previously ordered...). In fact I really like New look shoes because they provides cheap but not so bad quality pairs and they tends to size a bit larger than other brands in 9uk so I found them really comfy !

these ankle boots have a 4 inch heels, a bit too high for me normally but as it's block that's ok...this is the only drawback of new look shoes, the most part of their collection of shoes have really high heels!

I said that few weeks ago, but i think that i need to stop buying new pair, 4 ordered in 5 row months, and 2 in one month  !

    regards,

    Peter

I find it amazing once you overcome the inner headspace voices just how easy it is to do as youd like and how little  anyone notices or cares.

I really appreciate your comments about the stress which can bring going out wearing heels, It encourage all of us who are beginners! Thanks a lot

  9. These are my new ankle boots purchased in sales from New Look. I was in search of an easy wearable pair of heels. I find that new look shoes tends to be higher than announced but these are at the correct height :) I like the casual style and also the rubber heels, which make them as silent as flats! I'm completely pleased of my new purchase, I'm at an average of 1 pair bought by month for the moment I think that need to reduce this rate a little bit ! :)
