    Ya' think?   lol

I was in a Target store today and while walking through I heard what sounded like someone in heels.  I had to take a look.  Turned out to be a nice looking woman in a dress and a pair of nude colored stilettos with maybe a 3.5-4" heel.  It's probably been at least six months since I've seen a woman in heels of any kind so it sure was a nice sight to see.  Made my day!

    Hope you told her so!

I had a dream just the other night. I was going to a garage sale and decided to wear a black leather pencil skirt and a pair of very tall black wedges. When I got to the garage sale there were a whole bunch of people that I knew at the sale and it was kind of awkward and embarrassing.

I hear ya, A nice dream still... sounds like its something you would like to do ...

I've had that happen to me in real life! Well, substitute denim shorts for the skirt.

    ooh - do tell!

    @kneehighs

Something messed up royally here. If there are weird replies, just ignore them. What I was trying to write in the first place is that I must be channeling my inner @kneehighs , because I've been getting some compliments through chat lately. The difference is, my aims and intentions in chat are rather different than kneehighs's, as I am uncle/mentor/English teacher to what few chatting friends I have left. I might also add that I have met all of my chatting friends in person on multiple occasions. Anyhow, this is an excerpt from a conversation I had with my friend Huyền, who is very young. I believe she's 24. She's into shoes, nails, and fashion in general. She also tends to ignore my advice, usually to her detriment. That's the problem with a lot of kids these days--they don't really want advice, they want validation. I think that may be part of the reason she hardly ever talks to me these days. I digress, and I'm taking some validation for myself! HA! What do you think about that?

Not 100 percent sure, but I think she likes your legs ;-)

  4. Hi all.

So,  a very interesting thing just happenned!

My wife and I found this strip of outlet shops about an hour away from us, a week ago when we took our son to a school event. Various clothing shops, and  - a shoe shop. We landed up spending an hour+ there browsing. they had a HUGE range, mainly of kids shoes, but also men and women (mostly flat - blah!)- quite well priced, but not crazy-cheap. But there was a section at the back with various heels, and interestingly, sizes that might just fit my wife and I - possibly!  I couldn't convince my wife to get herself a pair, and she just chose a pair of boring Desigual flat sliders, the sloppy summer styles of today.... Anyway - I was upset with myself that I didn't just say "I want to buy a pair of heels for myself", and not just try convince my wife to get for herself. I knew we'd be going again soon, so just said I want to go with and see what to buy, knowing that I am more open to that decision than pretty much any time in the past (both because its out of town, and a big store room kind of store - and because of my own inner strength that I think has been growing)

Today my wife took my son again ( I had a zoom conference for work so unfortunately couldn't join) and I knew she'd be going there again. She found a pair of formal shoes she thought i'd like. But I didn't push her to look for heels for me, since I wasn't there anyway, so no real point in that. Anyway, then she shows me this pair of mens shoes that SHE loves  - FOR HERSELF!  She says she would wear them in winter and can wear them "with anything". Not sure about that, because of the style, but that's not my issue. I would have probably said no, should she have found a different pair for herself (money constraints). But, now then she wants to buy a mens shoe (see below) - well, that's almost an opportunity that cannot be overlooked, right? in terms of her finally seeing the legitimacy of me liking heels and women's shoes. Her style of shoe (or dressing in general) has changed over the years - from the classic look I really enjoyed in our younger years, so something which is very often a little 'edgy' or possibly alternative, or arty. These shoes are certainly that (on women. On men they are just... well - modern). I don't think that they would be looked at immediately as mens shoes. and if even so - would that bother me? I have always questioned myself what would I say or how would I react should my wife want to wear mens shoes, or mens clothing, and understanding that thought, made me understand my wifes discomfort or lack of understanding of my liking of heels (and that has no connection to my legitimacy of wearing those heels - just her feeling about it).

So... I quickly agreed to her buying them, and hope this will be a trigger to a real discussion, and hopefully more openness on her side. Time will tell!

Also seen here - my choice of footwear for WFH. nice 4.5" pump with a 1" platform, from New Look. A little on the large side, but still lovely!

I find your observation interesting, but I realize that the sort of collective vision of this group is slightly skewed, because of generally having larger feet. These look completely normal to me for 5" heels, which is to say, I can't walk gracefully in them. For most guys on here who are, say, size 12, a 5" heel is no big deal. At the other end of the spectrum, for my friend who is size 5.5, a 5" heel would be unbelievably extreme.

Could just be the d'orsay style, that make them look steeper than they really are.

  6. Chiming in too - with the same experiences... Even though I now have an office a short distance away from home, I still land up working from home often, because of family needs. So heeling is down to an all time low, not that I was such a huge heeler before ;-)  but I did enjoy my heeling at home. Now, if at all, its late at night, with a houseful of ZZZZ's.

I hope that we can all work to release the frustration that comes with these heeling limitations - amongst the much larger frustrations that this period brings too.

Definitely a limited selection, most of which has been available through Amazon for some time now.  I do hope the stores return as it was nice to be able to try on shoes in the size I need.

Yup. Disappointingly very limited! Hopefully it will grow

Yes I have had a few dreams about wearing high heels, and I do dream a lot loads of different subjects.

    Do share then 🙂

Several have mentioned recurring dreams, apparently with at least a heel wearing general theme. I’m no psychiatrist, but isn’t there some significance to recurring dreams?

    Logjam

Yup... For sure. We're on the high heel forum, right? ;-)

I can honestly say that I've never had a dream about wearing high heels, which is very weird, since I spend a lot of time and energy on them. I've had a lot of daydreams about heels, does that count?

Mmmm kinda. My thinking was more about the subconscious

Can't say that I recall any dreams centered around me in high heels.  Wish I did, as the dreams I've been having are not enjoyable.  Forgetting where I parked the car, getting separated from my wife in a crowd and can't find her, stuff like that, and I wake up agitated.  Not fun.

Oh no! Hopefully you were wearing heels and able to see over the crowd!!

  9. Thought of a cute topic - have high heels featured in a dream you have had?

    i'll start off.

When I was younger (mid/late teens probably)  - I had a recurring dream of getting locked in a department store that was just down the road from me. The styles at the time were classic stiletto pumps, boots etc - the style I still like today. In my dreams, I would be locked there over night, and have nothing to do, but to go up to the 2nd floor the shoe department, and start trying them on - all night long!

  10. Thanks @HappyinHeels, for the comments. Just to set the record straight - the pics of the "camping sandal" is not me, I can only dream of looking as sharp as that ;-)

We just got back from a short family camping expedition last week, needless to say - no heels seen. Anywhere. But then again, none expected!

Totally agreed, this is a time to tighten the family links, and I think we have gained from that muchly over the last few months, with the children getting along much better than they have ever in the past. Really nice to see. I hear that domestic violence is on a steep increase lately - what with families forced to live closely to each other, and the added pressures of finances, employment, sickness etc. We, despite having been going to marriage therapy for the last 2 years (weekly), have managed to go through the last few months with only minor hickups, and I give myself and my wife a pat on the shoulder for the achievement! Issues still remain, but we have been able to talk our way through most of them.

Wishing everyone a good weekend and successful and safe week.

Here are my latest beauties!  They are Justfab and the model is Tilla.  The heel measures 5 inches.  And the best part is they are practically brand new and I found them in a thrift store for 15 bucks!

Very nice indeed. What size are they? the angle looks quite steep, for a 5" heel

    Hello everyone,

It's been a while. I just kind of went with my life and got little carried away by real life things that I kind of forgot about this place.

But I did remember a little earlier in the month and here I am again with some more heeling I am doing.

I did get myself 2 new pair of shoes both with 7+ cm stilleto heels. One pair is sandals and second one pumps. I am incredibly pumped to keep taking them out but need to always find a reason for it which may be the hard bit as I am outgoing personality.

But today I am wearing the sandals to Prague as I need to sort out some administrative paperwork and be on my way. Might even visit some shops on the way back.

Will give you a pic when I get back home.

Also I now finally got myself the courage to fulfill something I was eager to do before. Going to dance lessons for high heels. I believe I wrote about little earlier but can give a recap if needed.

And now I even have nice stockings that I can wear to fix the entire issue with leggings and shaving due to my current home being with parents.

And I will wear the pumps or sandals to go there and back and have dancing shoes for the lessons themselves.

Sadly my current work makes it unable for me to wear heels there due to huge amount of physical work that is not really wise doing in heels.

Have a lovely day all of ya and keep on heeling!

These look great.  Keep up the great work ;-)

I ran into a friend at the store a couple days ago while wearing my new wedges.  I did have on long jeans so they weren't overly visible, but if he had looked down, he would have noticed.  Fortunately, he did not and we went our separate ways.  At this point in my life, I'd rather not try to explain things to folks, so I was glad to not have been noticed.

And he didn't notice you were suddenly taller?

Sadly no..  my girlfriend found my clothes before I could try to talk to her about them, she threw them all out and also some of my heels. 😕

so I was doing damage control before all this covid nonsense started. And since then she has been working from home and I've been extra busy at work.

so sadly I havnt had anytime to heel other than late at night watching TV. But I don't really count that.

    Sorry to hear mate 😞
