Agreed - very delicate and luxurious. Especially with the thin heel. Enjoy them!

It's been about 3 months since I last got some new shoes, but I have made up for it since. I got 5 new pairs all at once, so I'll dole them out a little at a time, due to upload limitations. Hopefully, I can get some better pictures in the coming days than the typical top-of-the-washing-machine shot, but the washing machine shots are quick and dirty.
First up are some Venus brand denim fabric sandals. I have always wanted some denim sandals, but have not had the chance to actually get my hands on some both in my price range and my preferred style until now. I got these from Poshmark for like 20 bucks plus shipping, and they arrived at my doorstep in a reasonable amount of time, insanely well packaged for such a cheap pair of shoes. And they are cheap, don't get me wrong. Unlike some of my other purchases as of late, these are your cheap, man-made material, Chinese, throw-away kind of shoe, but they're great! 4 5/8" heel, no platform, they're a bit steep for me, but the learning curve is there, I'm already getting better at walking in them. It's all about increasing ankle flexibility, maybe an old dog can learn new tricks. There is a bit of fraying fabric at the heel tip of one of the shoes, but it really doesn't bug me, it almost fits in with the style of the shoe. I might try to trim it with a cuticle nipper or something similar later.
I'm not generally a fan of mules. maybe its the denim look of these - but i really like them. Enjoy!

Nice looking heels.
I see this seller has some really nice looking heels and boots. A little on the costly side, but their stuff looks way nice than alot of the junk sold on Ali Express
And it looks like they have a really nice selection on large sizes, which is also quite rare for Ali Express. -

No one's commented on these yet... so i might as well ;-)
They look great. Am sure you will get a lot of enjoyment out of wearing them. I know others will roll their eyes... but this look of under your trousers looks great!

Two deliveries today. One from Macy's and one from Jessica Simpson. Tore into the JS one first because it was small.
Here's the Macy's package.
My new Nine West Kimy boots in black leather. I got them in a size 11 (one size up) because they have a pointed toe (at least for me). They are snug so if I wear jean, they need to be skinny. Very comfortable to walk in. (Christmas in November?)
4.33 inch heels.
These look great. Love that style

I tried to do this one time, chronicled elsewhere on this forum, but was unsuccessful. The young lady who repeatedly fawned over my sandals (not JLo) ultimately refused my offer of them as a gift. And she was exactly the same size as me.
I think i am less gracious then you folks - i just cant fathom giving my shoes to a stranger like that. Nor taking shoes gifted by a stranger 🤔

I spent most of my life thinking that. Finally, I came to the conclusion that if I don't wear the stuff myself, it ain't gonna get worn.
That was a pithy statement, and probably would have been most effective if I had hit "Submit Reply" and been done with it. But I didn't instead. You see, there's more to it than Who Wears The Pants In The Family. Let's dissect this for a second. "I wish my wife would dress like that." Without going into great detail, I was once married to a woman who did dress "like that." In the end, it's impossible to live vicariously through someone else. Which brings me to the first part of your statement, which is, "That's what I wanted to wear." [emphasis mine] And that's where you finally end up. Good luck to you.
Thats a good point, and something i wonder about myself. If my wife was (still) into heels - i wonder if that would have been enough for me, and if i would have gone down the road of buying my own. I think not, but maybe that's because she would have had hers, which would fit me

Came across this review today, was quite surprised to see it worded the way it is ... but I guess why not!
And immediately thought of this thread.
Review was relating to these heels

I bought some mini-skirts recently, and there was one that I was really itching to try out. Spent a few hours, over a few days, putting together some outfits that I thought worked well. Essentially dark, barely-see-through, pantyhose? Leggings? I don't know... Anyway, black mini-skirt, black leggings, red shirt and black jacket. I was debating the shoes. I recently bought a 4"-heeled combat shoe which I love, it's awesome. That's what I wanted to wear. The style was perfect, and I wish my wife would dress like that. However, I have never gone outside with heels in obvious display. Yes, wear heels under boot-cut jeans covering the heels. Yes, gone to coffee stores, sat around, where the heels were visible as I was sitting. But not to stores, or anything really public.
Some days ago, I wanted to go do some Christmas shopping, and it was an opportune time do some heeling. Put on my outfit, and drive to the mall. Last minute, in the car, sort-of chickened out, and put on my ~2"-heeled running shoes (they look like running shoes but have a bit of a heel to them). Went into the stores, walked around, and was hugely self-conscious. Not because of the skirt, but because of the shoes. I think they matched fine, but I really REALLY wanted to be wearing some proper heels. It was fun nonetheless.
I've been stuck on this, mentally... So, a few days ago, decided to try again, similar outfit, but with my combat boots. This time I again sat around in the car for a bit, not sure why. Eventually got up the courage and got out of the car. Once on the move, I'm fine. Went into the stores, shopped around some. 4" heels easily on display.
I'm sure some people stared or couldn't process, but whatever. No one said anything. I'm still flying high on the experience. This was awesome!
Well done!!!

Thanks @Cali - i appreciate the effort in dedicating the pics. Wedges, as you know, are one of my fave styles! I liked the boots you pictured as well. Thats a nice comfy looking style, and the straps add some interest.

I am normally a UK11, sometimes a UK12. I intentionally bought the ASOS boots in a 13 to ensure adequate room, given that they are not a wide fitting and might prove a little 'snug'. They are fine for both length and width; the 12s would probably fit me well enough too. I did initially experience a little discomfort to the ends of my big toes as the faux suede uppers are somewhat stiff. But some latex 'toe caps' (from Amazon) worn on my big toes (under socks) cured that, and the extra length in the boots ensured that these were accommodated. I have recently ventured out without these caps and without noticeable discomfort during a shortish perambulation. ASOS also has a knee-length 'Cuba' version of the same boot, again up to UK13.
My impression is that these (and other plus-size ASOS footwear) runs pretty well true to size, but (as usual) if one has a wider foot (as most men do, compared with women), going up a size is sensible. (ASOS does make the same boots in a wide fitting but does not (yet) offer them in sizes 11 - 13.)
Below left is another ASOS women's 'Enhance' boot, which I tried in UK13 standard width (no wide available) - see pic in jeans - but didn't keep as I felt them not discreet enough. It has a 4.5" heel and is in soft fabric - very comfortable and wearable. On the left is an ASOS man's leather boot with a 3" heel; I tried them in UK12 wide and found them rather too big - again not kept, but because they were too similar to my other men's boots.
ASOS also has a faux suede 'Kendra' OTK boot with a 4.75" stiletto heel in sizes up to UK13. I haven't tried them but I understand that they are easily wearable. ASOS is certainly making an effort to satisfy those who like something a little different and more exciting!
That pair of Enhance looks great.
I have a pair of the Kendra OTK in UK9 if I recall. Love them, but I don't wear them often enough, similar setup as you, at home..

OK, posted some pictures to imgur, so can put links here.... Chlorini was right, Zara boots either run a bit small, or exactly to size. These are pull ons, one fits, the other is a struggle, so I guess my feet are different sizes...
I didn't look at the auction very closely, and was disappointed to find these are rounded toe boots, and I prefer pointed toes, only because rounded toes tend to make my feet look too small. Perhaps they will grow on me with time, I really liked the more sturdy heel design though. The heel is sturdy, but made of cheesy plastic so it makes a loud clicking, not what I was going for. The quality of leather seems very good, and I like the thin soles, they seem easy to walk in so far... The boots weren't inexpensive, paid $100 for them, the seller accepted my lower offer provided I could not return them...Oh well. I guess I should wear lighter colored jeans for pictures, did my best to lighten the photos a bit.
Will probably "rehome" the Zaras, let me know if anyone is interested, not looking to recoup my investment though. Perhaps I should give them some time, maybe they will grow on me, they look pretty good under the levis, just wish the heels were not made of cheesy plastic.....
They look cute, esp under the jeans. but it really sounds like you are disappointed ... as you say, maybe they will grow on you ...

At about age 6 I found my mother's brown leather knee high boots. A high block heel, probably 3-4 inches. I think she hardly wore them, so am surprised that I even knew about it.
I doubt I was very good at placing things back exactly where they were back then... So wonder what she thought, and if she even noticed.
I enjoyed those boots for many years to come... Probably wore them more than she did, but of course at home only, till my late teens.
About 30 years on from that original find, I bought my own high heels- and what a surprise, they were high heels boots!

Alright here I go. Well I'm 27 and working as a Pharmacy Technician, although where I live the requirements to become one and work as one are extremely low compared to what is required outside of my region. I'm not sure when my interest for high heels started but it could probably have been during high school because my english teacher in 4th and 5th grade was always in heels and I think it looked really nice on her, which lead to me being distracted in class instead of listening since I was a bit better then the other students when it came to speaking the language.
I've bought heels from pleaser and extremehighheels and eventually came to the conclusion that my ideal heel height would be a scaled 5 inch heel on a made to measure shoe. I do plan on going out in heels someday, but what I currently have in my wardrobe is not really compatible with high heels in terms of look. So my current project would be to get a nice pair high heeled ankle boots and style them with some joggers. I do not like platforms unless they are concealed and generally prefer my heels without them and I really like stiletto heels.
Please excuse my syntax and grammar, I'm not really good when it comes to writing. Thanks for obliging with your story.
Your schools teacher is like the story of my life 😉 Except for me it was 1st grade!
