Was in need of some OTK boots as I currently (or previously) didn't own any. Couldn't decide between the Chinese Laundry luster or the Aldo Graziella, so when I found one for over 50% off on Ebay I just got both. Stock pictures below. Also a review on Aldo for anyone interested. I think the Aldo are a bit classier, they are very soft.

Kneebooted, the jeans tucked in I think looks better. When you wear them under jeans you get the awkward bulge at the top of the boots.

So I think it goes without saying both pairs are hot, and I would love to have either!

    Thanks for the compliment too!

As for the bulge when I wear the boots under jeans, I found that if I wrap my knee high socks over the tops, it pulls them in and hides the bulge. In the above pictures, I was just wearing some regular socks, but I totally agree with you.

New pair of boots. Wife bought these for me. Wasn't really a Christmas present since she gave them to me New Years Eve Morning. She said I could only wear them when she said I could, but that just happen to be that night at a party we were going to. Was a little nervous wearing the them outside my jeans. Well these are not my regular jeans. They were my wife's denim leggings. The pic above was taken on the way out the door. At a party of about 14 people, these boots were the talk of the party.

I am super jealous of the boots and the fact your wife had you wear them to a party! Keep it going!

  3. So as my wife continues to level up her comfort of my heeling(yes, pun intended), I have been on the search for some boots that could be looked at as either masculine or feminine to keep her comfortable. I primarily searched DSW.com because I had two certificates totaling $25 off, and who doesn't love discounted things?!

Now just as a precursor for those of you who don't know, I have two pairs of riding boots I try to wear almost every day, regardless of the company I am around. The one pair of heeled boots I absolutely love to wear, my wife is still warming up to me wearing them around town, but when I am out of town for work, she doesn't care.

So this trek was to find some boots that could pass either way, and at least be within her comfort level.

Oirignally she was comfortable with boots she saw that were 2" or less in heel, but these are between 2.25 and 2.5", so not much taller, but she did like them a lot. I've already worn them out twice within the first week of getting them, and I must say, they are extremely comfortable! My only wish is that the calf was a bit smaller, as I have 'chicken legs' per my wife's description.

I took photos with 3 different pairs of jeans, and am curious as to what you all think!

The boots are Sable, made by Indigo Rd., size 10m

What time are you thinking?  Perhaps in Union City near the movie theater.  There's a few shoe stores there.

My work schedule gets me out about 6 pm everyday. So it would have to be after that, and I am usually starving. So I would want food first and foremost. Other than that, I've no exclusions. You pick.

  5. So for those of you who watch the Amazon reboot of Top Gear, there is a bit on the new show called 'Conversation Corner.'

The intro is a silhouette of the three of them(Hammond, Clarkson, May) sitting on stools. This week's episode caught me off guard because in the silhouette this time, Jeremy Clarkson was wearing some noticeable heels!

I just got a kick out of it seeing that.

  6. When I was in my early 20's, not many knew of my love for heels and boots. While I dated a number of women who knew of my love for them, surprisingly I never bought heels for anyone I dated. Although, I did have girlfriends buy me boots! Haha!

Yet, there was this one girl I was friends with and thought she was absolutely beautiful. She probably could be a model. This takes place in my early-mid 20's when Bakers was still around. She had a love for Jessica Simpson heels, and when we were at the mall, I encouraged her to try some on. When she found a pair of patent red pumps she liked, I insisted on getting them for her as she said she didn't want to spend the money. Initially I think it made her feel a bit awkward, but later when she would go out and wear them to a club or somewhere, she would always send me a picture of her wearing them... :)

Yes, I think part of the problem is that I'm 25, so I'm still dating and going out regularly. Most of the women I date just don't like it.

@bambam, can I just say that when dating in my 20's, there were times I had the same problems you encounter. I knew around the time I was 16 that I loved heels, mainly boots, and wouldn't lose that interest.

During my dating years, there were a number of girls I dated who didn't like the idea of a guy into wearing heels.

On the flip side, there were a few who not only were ok with it, they even bought me boots! I still have some of those to this day!

But here is the thing. There was a girl I had known since high school who absolutely loved wearing heels and boots. We dated once in high school and it didn't work out. We remained good friends and had the same group of friends. Well finally, as if predicted, later in my 20's, it became apparent we were attracted to one another yet again.

I ask her out, we start dating and are the couple everyone envied. One problem, she wasn't into my heeling and didn't like the idea of it. Sadly, we ended things because I didn't think it was a change I could make for her.

So right there it sounds like it doesn't work out... But here is where it gets awesome!

I end up in a few year relationship with a woman who tries to change me and says all the stuff like my heeling is a deep seeded issue from my childhood. Needless to say that it ends badly, I lost a decent chunk of money, time, etc.

So, I try and get back out there doing things and getting my life back. I start playing poker again with a group of people I knew years ago. Turns out I meet a woman there who is a coworker of a friend. Three plus years and one marriage later, she loves me for exactly who I am and helps support it. She loves shopping with me because she knows I am a guy who actually enjoys it, and I love her because she gives me input on what looks good on me, etc.

The point is, life has ups and downs, and quite often, when you least expect it, you'll find the one who accepts you for you and encourages you to be yourself.

Hold your head high and heel away. You might be surprised with what you find along the way.

    ;)

No today is a chill at home day lol. I don't heel locally  as its a bit rural and closed minded. I usually  drive an hour or so to the nearest  major city(Louisville or Florence) and the budget can't withstand  daily  trips unfortunately. But I am wearing at home at the moment. :-)

    @Peeptoe I live in Louisville...

  9. This pair I never even wore out of the house. I received them from Victoria's Secret online back when they sold shoes. They are Colin Stuart brand, black patent leather. I love the wedge, but ended up deciding against them as I didn't like the wood look heel contrast.

    I will be selling these.
