  1. @pebblesf

Thanks for the compliments! I haven't worn the JS ones in public in my hometown, partially because the wife hadn't opened up to them yet at that time. This fall/winter is new territory!

The size 11s you mentioned are actually a dark chocolate brown, not black.

I have not put them on eBay, so make me an offer on them :)

  2. Hi all,

So the wife has put me on hold from buying any more shoes until I clean out my closet, haha!

With that said, I am selling these thigh highs. As much as I love them, the heel is too high for me and they are unlikely to end up in my daily wardrobe.

They have never been worn outside, and only ever tried on.

They were somewhere like $175 new, but let's face it, that's not ideal pricing.

I would like to get $80 plus shipping for them. I will entertain offers. They are not yet listed on eBay because I would prefer that they go to a fellow true enthusiast :)

    Feel free to message me.

    -Jeff

  3. I will say that one of the main reasons I was apprehensive was the fear of being judged.

Although there is no where in the Bible that says 'men shall not wear women's clothing,' there is still that mindset that I will be judged, outcast, shamed, whatever.

But when I take a step back and really think about it, I go to a non-denominational Christian church. I am very involved in the church and I am known there by many people. Wearing women's clothes, or even just heels, is not a sin. Those who pass judgement, if they do, are sinners. I believe we all have some flaw, seen or unseen. So if I can just remember that fact in case someone ever passes judgment, I can breathe easy.

I did wonder if part of the reason they accepted it so easily is because of how involved I am. You know, "we mustn't upset him because he helps out so much." But I do think it's truly the fact that they are accepting of it.

The minister's wife, when I called her out, realized her flaw/mistake because what she did was gossip, even though it was to two other women that already knew. She was embarrassed because I caught her in a sin essentially.

Either way, she is accepting and knows now, so we will see where it goes from here.

@Cali, For the time being, that is hot and humid here in the Louisville, KY area, I am limited to just use two pairs of wedge Converse. So I will try to wear them and look as stylish as possible!

  4. So a while back, I had posted in one of the threads about how a girl I am friends with at church was eyeing my riding boots one day when I was wearing them under jeans. I called her out on it, and since then we have discussed shoes somewhat and she has seen pictures of my heeled boots and current converse wedges I have been wearing to church. So that's one girl who knows and I called her out on. :)

Then two weeks ago, another girl at church saw my wedges, asked if they were wedges, and in front of some other people I initially denied it, because in all fairness I was caught off guard and nervous. Afterwards, I told her she was in fact correct, and she complimented me saying that she likes them.

Then there was today. After service, the our minister's wife was standing in our lobby/gathering area. As I walked past her, she was dead faced staring at my shoes. Now I'm an observant person, so I noticed her looking. I then proceed to watch her go over to the first girl I told to ask if she noticed I was wearing wedges. Now I can read lips pretty darn well, for those that don't know. Again, they still are unaware I am privvy to their conversation. The first girl tells the minister's wife she knows about them, and tells her I also have boots that are flat and heeled. Now the second girl walks up to them to say hi. Minister's wife asks her if she knew I was wearing wedges, to which she said she found out two weeks ago.

So the minister's wife leaves, then I go over and call the two girls out on it. Not in a mean way, but a playful, hey I know you were talking about my shoes. You should have included me lol.

They try to deny it and play it off, whatever. So then I message the minister's wife on Facebook, and informed her if she is curious, she can always ask me about my shoes directly. She apologized profusely and complimented me, saying she thought they looked good and she loved the color!

I told her not to be shocked in the fall/winter time. She said she won't be, but she'll make sure to let me know if she likes the shoes I wear!

The reason this is important is because up until roughly this June, I would never have contemplated wearing any kind of heel or wedge around our church.

So I guess I'm finally less nervous and apprehensive now. Once the minister's wife knows, all the ladies will know, haha.

Overall though, I'm glad I had a chance to talk with her. It makes me more comfortable with wearing them around people I know won't judge me, even though I fear they will...

  5. So this past Saturday, my wife and I traveled to Simpsonville, KY to visit an outlet mall. We've been to this one before, but since discovering Converse wedges in Ohio, I wanted to see what this place had to offer.

The pair that I ended up purchasing only cost about $28 because they were on clearance.

On our anniversary trip to Ohio, we purchased this same color pair for my wife.

What was unique about this purchase, was that when I wore them to church this past Sunday, one of the girls noticed. Now I have worn the red suede wedges before, but no one seemed to pick up on it. I eventually texted her after church and confirmed her assumption that they were wedges. She just said they were a "cool pair of shoes!"

    Who knew?

    Hi there.

I recently got a fantastic pair of Stiletto Ankle boots from a lady off e bay.

The Brand is Atmos and Me.

They are all leather upper, nice leather.

The seller was lovely...I sent her an honest question asking about the size etc...She was really helpful

They are fantastic. A great experience !

She sent me a message a few days after they arrived along the lines...

'I know you have them, i know they fit and I know you have worn them lots'

In actual fact, I was wearing them when I read the message !

I have asked a question in the Discussion for everyone forum, with a picture.

    thanks.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the sellers username?

  7. You stop wearing boots? A friend of mine and I were having this discussion. She feels that once it passes the 70 deg F on a regular basis for the highs, she puts hers away.

However, I have another female friend who wears her riding boots almost up to 90 deg F outside.

What is your comfort zone? And if you wear them when it does get warmer out, do you still wear stockings, socks, etc. with them?

  8. So today my wife and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary!

We went up to Cincinnati to shop at IKEA yesterday, and went outlet shopping up in Monroe.

I admit I didn't think an opportunity would come about to convince my wife to get wedge sneakers, but because they were on sale, we both got a pair!

I will post a picture of hers later, but these are mine. They came with red laces but I really liked the look of the white laces in there.

I am posting these at the request of @Thighbootguy. Sorry for the terrible picture. These knee high boots are Calvin Klein brand, with more wear on them than normal for stuff from Ebay, but the price was right. They fit perfectly in the foot, and are quite comfortable, but I wish the shafts were just a tad slimmer. My lady/shoe friend gushed a bit over them and said they are not too big around for me, but they are definitely on the loose side. Actually, they look fine with jeans, and I have worn them out several times, but with leggings they seem too big. They have a 4 3/4 inch heel with a small platform.

Looks good to me! Do you know what the style name is of them?

  10. Ok, so here is my newest pair that I've acquired.

I know I usually have a lengthy back story, but here lately, they've been interesting.

So with my job, I usually go to people's homes pretty regularly. This past week when I was at someone's house, I commented to the husband about how much his wife must do with eBay. Two of the three spots in their three car garage were filled with shoe boxes. He responded that they had like 8 more pallets worth in their basement. Apparently his wife buys return inventory from businesses as well as purchases inventory from places going out of business.

Later on at some point, she comes out and we are talking. She gives me her eBay username and tells me to have a look and see if there is anything I or my wife may find that we like. If so, message her, and she'll give us a better price.

So that night, I initially look and don't see anything too exciting. I let my wife look and she finds some things, but nothing she really wants. I get back on and look, and happen to see a pair of Hunter rain boots in a size 10. So I message her and tell her we'd be interested in those. Normally they go on eBay for around $80-90 USD from what I saw. She replies and tells me she pulled them, and if I'm around at some point, I can stop by and get them, or she'll give them to her husband and I can get them from him next time I see him out and about. I see him about once a week.

I asked her how much though, and her response was, "After all that you've done, these are on the house."

So these babies are brand new, and free! Yippee!

  11. New update: so last night, I told my wife about this. She laughed and said that since I banter back and forth with this girl on a regular basis, I should just call her out on it. So I did...

It turns out she was checking out my shoes! She had a shoe fetish and had never seen a guy wear shoes like I did and she really liked them. Needless to say we developed a new friendship last night!

  12. So an update...

Last week she was not there, but today she was and I was again wearing the same riding boots as before. Unless my eyes deceived me, she definitely snuck a picture of them. I definitely want to approach it now, but not sure how to without it being awkward, especially if she Didn't take a picture...
