I just bought a faux black leather skort on Amazon. I really like it very much. It fits me to the T. It felt great first time wearing it with my white women's tunic top and a pair of white double band sandals. I felt totally confident wearing this ensemble. I think that I may get other colors of the skort, like white and hot pink. I'll put a link to the skort I bought on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3PP7P3X?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1&psc=1 Happy Heeling, bluejay Interesting. I like it! Might just have to add something like that to my want list. 2

I would consider wearing a regular skirt to church, but I would never wear shorts. That's a personal preference, not an expectation. I could never quite figure out why kilts never caught on, at least not in terms of being practical. I watch my wife wear skirts and it just seems so easy and practical, lounging around the house and we decided to grab some ice cream; she says, "I'll throw on a skirt", and does. While I am dragging a pair of pants up over my legs, she has slipped on a skirt, stepped into mules and waiting in the car while I am still hitching the button on my jeans. And while I won't get into the exact details, hiking or exercising with "junk" that chafes and sticks against pants seems ridiculous since I have to wear boxer/briefs to prevent it... of just the right type too mind you lest they cause their own issues, when a kilt would prevent all that. I don't know, just seemed a kilt should have become standard wear for men by now in terms of practical items to wear versus pants, but maybe I am missing something. bluejay Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 Couple of days ago, I had to go to Home Depot to get a tube of concrete adhesive. I decided that I would wear my Buffalo Bills sweatshirt dress by Erin Rogers. It was a bit cold outside so I added a royal blue puffer vest. With that I wore my white knee boots with a 4" stacked heel and carried my Buffalo Bills cross body bag. As I approached the entrance, a woman on her way out said to me " I love those boots you're wearing". I replied so do I, thank-you for your compliment. Another great comment for a guy in heels! Shyheels Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 That’s nice. I have long fancied a pair of white boots but have never summoned up the nerve to buy some 1
mlroseplant Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 Concrete adhesive and cold weather are not the best of friends, I hope your repair/project goes well. I actually have a couple of sweater dresses hanging in my closet. I've worn one of them outside exactly once. Maybe it's time to break them out again, and at least try them on! 1
Cali Posted November 9, 2025 Posted November 9, 2025 I too have a cowl neck sweater dress, for me it just an extra long sweater that keeps my back warm in the winter so I can use less gas to heat my house.
CrushedVamp Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 I love sweater dresses as a whole. My favorite dress of my wife's is one. You would have to know us, but we banter back and forth a lot and often make these silly bets. Well, we were at the local mall and eating at the food court and beside us was a small woman's boutique. Way up high they had this sweater and so it began. I said it was a sweaterdress, and the wife said it was way too short to be a dress and was just a long sweater. So after eating we asked the clerk and sure enough I was right, it was a sweaterdress. A good clerk, her next words were, "would you like to buy it?" Sure enough, one in her size went home with us. I actually see it in several pictures now. We buy and sell a lot of property and on one such purchase, we are pictured with her wearing it. She likes it because she can tame its truncated hemline with leggings for a demure look, or go sassy and leave it short pairing it with pantyhose/tights. 2
bluejay Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I just bought a sweater dress from Land's End. I like it very much. The hemline goes to just above my knee. It's a perfect fit with a pair of brown tights and a pair of my brown, Steve Madden knee boots with a 3-1/2" block heels. I'il put a link to my new dress from Land's Endhttps://www.landsend.com/products/womens-cotton-blend-cable-crew-neck-sweater-dress/id_391327?attributes=44967,19337 Happy Heeling, bluejay
bluejay Posted December 25, 2025 Posted December 25, 2025 Just to let everyone know that I had to go out on Christmas Eve to do some last minute shopping. I wore my Land's End , green with white stripes rugby dress which goes to just above my knee, with white tights, red patent knee boots with 3-1/2" chunky heels and a red puffer jacket. Got a couple of compliments, even from a guy on my ensemble. Great day to be out in a dress and heeled boots in a Holiday festive color scheme. Merry Christmas to all my fellow heelers! CrushedVamp Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Algorithms can either be good or bad, but for some reason on youtube I must have touched off one in the wrong way because I am constantly being bombarded by a trend I see starting. Or at least it seems that way. Men in pantyhose, or tights for those in other countries. Talk about changing up a mans typical drab wardrobe. I have no real opinion on the topic. When I first started transmission line work, I was in Montana in the winter of 1998 and it was cold. My foreman’s first words were, “buy pantyhose and wear them as it will keep you warm”. Like me, he was married and a mans-man in every way but openly wore pantyhose when it was cold out. I tried wearing them, and I think they do keep a person warmer, but it was too self-conscious for me. I worried about getting hurt and having to explain to medical professionals why I am wearing pantyhose under my work clothes. I do wear leggings though. They are often called “a base layer” but they are really leggings. My wife hates it, but I am not a front flap kind of guy, just downing the waistband when I need to go to the bathroom, so in order to look like I am wearing pants and not underwear with a flap, I buy the women’s style of base-layer, or leggings really. They are comfortable lounging at home, and keep me warm, although I think pantyhose did a better job of it. Without the flap, they look like black pants and so I can move in and out of the house with some neighbor wondering what I am wearing in semi-public! But it is all over youtube now, a drive to get men to wear pantyhose openly. I have no opinion on the matter except to point it out to people on here for discussion on whether its a new fashion trend they would embrace or detest. https://youtu.be/I1m0yWzI-jI?si=VJKkHfslddHSdGDG
