Why Women Don`t Wear Black Court Heels Rarely In My Town?

Hi! I live in Québec city and it is very rare i see women in heels i like lol. Most of time i see on website stores the ages from 30 and more that they bought heels. Most of time it is old women that wear those high heels. Some told me they do not wear heels for shopping but why I can see black high heels boots if they say they don`t wear heels? I feel like disappointed women don`t wear pretty shoes. They put low square toe ugly pumps or very cheap ugly shoes. I guess it is only me that wear heels sometimes!

I know it becomes painful but it is not a reson to be lazy(coward)!

What the heck is a court shoe.

Sounds like something for tennis.

I am amazed at how bad a lot of woman dress.

Don't get me wrong I am not into fashion at all. Actually quite opposite. But I do know when a woman could definitely dress better.

One girl here at work has worn these big legged jeans that come all the way to the floor. The bottom of the jeans are so big around you can't see here feet. To make it worse she has short stumpy legs. I call them her clown pants because that's what they look like.

This other girl kinda looks like Jennifer aniston. She dresses fairly nice but wears the UGLIEST shoes.

I have tried to get my wife to sandals that have the strap that goes straight across the ankle. She says they cut the in half and make her legs look short. She is short. But then she will wear these ugly crop pants that stop about 3 inches above her ankle. Now THAT cuts her leg up and makes them look short. I call them her little boy pants. Thank goodness I have not seen them in a while.

Look you got me started.

Court shoes in the UK are what we typically call pumps in the US.  Generally a closed shoe, not a sandal.

i made a mistake in my title. Why women don`t wear often heels? They rarely do. Most of them only wear comfort flat shoes or below two inches! So almost not high. Many of them said in store i don`t wanna a high heel. And we are there to enjoy what they will never wear. They don`t like heels i guess. Why the hell they only put women shoes instead of just (High heels)? Yea it`s painful but let them to men!!!  At least it makes work the body!

And on another side they made 3.5 high and more! Will you see a women wearing a stiletto with 4.5 inches and more? 11 cm or 21 cm they exagerated!

I remember when I has just a child, my mom and dad going out on the town. my mom always wore a dress and heels. Also she ware them Sunday for church too. These days women dress up in a pair of jeans, a tank top, and flats at best, (or those god awful ugly Ugg boots! at least they named them correctly, UGG!) . It is as if women try to see how frumpy they can look! It is rare to see a woman in a dress or skirt and heels. My wife will dress up once in a while, but she feels self conscious from all the gawkers that are surprised to see a nice looking gal dressed up for no good reason.

Funny this came up. Yesterday at home depot I saw thus older lady perhaps in her 50's wearing probably a 5 inch heel with a platform and jeans. Although I loved it the look really was not her nor was it that good. The pumps were kind of dressy and the jeans were kind of ratty. It really caught me of guard because they were so hi. I still loved it though.

In my experience high heels to most women have become shoes to wear while they sit and look pretty. When they know there's only a short distance between the car and the venue they get to sit again. Walk all day in high heels however? Don't be daft! Most women don't even know how to any more. That's the whole reason platforms became popular. So as to give the impression they're wearing high heels when actually when you think away they platforms they're just wearing low to medium heels.

Only yesterday a woman showed me a picture of the heels her daughter had bought for a prom night. According to her they were incredibly high and impossible to wear. I just looked at the picture and though I've got shoes that are higher then that. Without platforms! Think away the platform and at best you were left with a 4 to 4.5 heeled shoe. Nothing special.

You are trying to say the soluce for the pain is to wear Platform? I have seen many heels have at least the heels are 3 inches and the platorm making them to 4 inches and more! How would you be comfortable all day or just 3 or 4 hours of time like in my case?

3.5 inches becomes to high for me.

Practice.

See my reply on your thread "What Does A Platform Do On A High Heel?"

It depends on the size of shoe and what you are use to. I am size 9 and wear around a 4in heel every day. I subtract any platform from my heel measurement. I consider that cheating. It also depends on how much time you are on your feet.

You have to realize for woman heels are no big deal. They mean more to us because they are something that is not meant for us. I am sure all of us only admired heels from a distance before we ever put on a pair. That has made them more "special" to us and so we cherish the time we get to wear them. To a woman that would be about the Same as us putting on a pair of white socks and tennis shoes.

It does my head in that my wife won't wear her heels anymore or very rarely does . She has some beautiful high heels , I think I picked most of them. It's a shame they're all too small because I'd wear them all day

I have another reason. The pains get women coward! LOL! I will enjoy heels while they miss something good!

I prefer to apply Occam's razor. Always go for the simplest most plausible answer. I work in a university building that has more women coworkers then men. All of the women there only wear flats, or something so low heeled it might just as well be called a flat. It might be argued that if you have to stand on your feet all day you might be excused from wearing high heels all day, but then again almost all of these women work sitting behind a desk. The only time I ever see a woman in heels is from the occasional student. And even there 99.9% of the female students were flats, or something so low heeled it might just as well be called a flat.

Based on that, by applying Occam's razor, what is more plausible, that women are cowards for being afraid of pain? Or that they just no longer know how to walk in high heels? It takes practice to walk in heels and if you're in flats all day doesn't it stand to reason you're not getting a lot of practice?

HEELS2U seems to have the best perspective for the reasons women tend not to wear heels as often as they use to. Another reason could be that they are tired of always being expected and suspected to be on display while in public. Now it is important for people to have enough respect for themselves to wear appropriate and pleasing attire. However, the popularity of the "grunge look" from the latter 1960's till the early 1980's is still influencing today's creativity for clothing ideas. Even the so-called attractiveness of our today's high heel styles hardly can hold a candle to some of the heels of the 1950's and 60's. Should you have a chance to compare the 4 to 6 inch heels popular then and the same heights of today, you could see the reason the earlier ones became the sought after standard. Then again, you might only see it as my opinion, which is also your right, but I still love their styling look better. Some brands of today have come close, but the influence of today's fashion attitude somehow truncates the revival of the better looking heels.

My wife can't wear her hi heels. They bother her hip. She will only wear them out when there is mot.much walking or standing.

She use to wear them all the time.

You see a lot of the young girls wearing heels when they go out at night like to a club. Guess they are laying it all out to get a man and the competition is tough.

In my suburb (nearly at the country) 30 km from Paris, it takes fashion a few years to hit the street. But it arrives.

Yesterday I was driving and approaching a cross walk with a guy pedestrian wanting to cross. Poor guy no cars wanted to stop until a very nice looking girl in killer heels (at least 5'' no platform), black pumps, gets out of the nearby car repair shop to have her pause in the warm spring air (finally it arrived).

Now every car wants to pause to let the guy cross the road, even when he has arrived the next line...
