Bubba136
any male that is willing to suffer the slings and arrows of the general public while wearing women's shoes, especially woman's high heels, out where anyone can see them, can wear any color he wants....because wearing a pair of pink pumps won't look any more unusual than wearing a plain black pair. So, all you guys that wanted to wear a color besides the boring black or brown boots or pumps, get with it....get that red pair and get out and about --- what are you waiting for? Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

Jen J
Those are very nice and I like the color. But I don't think I would wear pink shoes in public ... http://www.sexyshoes.com/p-602-8030-...heel-pump.aspx Actually I can tell you from experience those run about 1/2 size small. Jen Thanks for the info about sizing. Do you wear them in public ? I guess a walk at the Navy Pier (with several thousand people looking at you) would be quite an experience And thinking about it I agree with Bubba136 when he says "wearing a pair of pink pumps won't look any more unusual than wearing a plain black pair"

krazykev64
i dont make a habit of walking around in heels at home or outside. pink happens to be a colour i hate. on the other hand pink can be used to good effect in the right situation. for example in august next year (2010) i have organised to walk a 10 MILE sponsored walk to raise money for cancer research. i will be wearing pink from head to toe including a very high pair of pink stiletto sandals as seen in the picture i have posted. as you can clearly see it is rather girly and not really a mans colour. at the end of the day its up to the individual what colour they wear. i am going to set up a new thread to get an idea of what to wear with the pink sandals. my wife says pink trousers but i say pink skirt and cycle shorts underneath with bare legs and feet. i do after all want to get a bit of attention as i will be fundraising. as the heels are the main theme of the walk they need to be easily seen. kfsteve391
I love the pic of your pink sandals. These are beautiful and you will attract lots of attention. I have five pairs of pink sandals. They are very feminine looking and sexy. Hope your fund raiser is successful.

Heel-Lover
Hi all, I think colour is a minimal consideration when placed alongside the other more feminine factors, such as a high heeled shoe, the altered walk, the sound of the walk, other attire - eg skirt/ capris pants etc... Women have the luxury of having shoe styles and colour combinations galore - if men wear heels the least we can do is style-up a bit and coordinate our look. So in summary - Pink is great - if it suits the rest of your clothing/ accessories. rgds Heel-Lover

Iamme
I'm not for it- but I never liked the color pink anyway. Doesn't mean it can't look good, but I think it needs a great well-put together outfit to go with it.
yozz
I voted "with the right outfit". Because we culturally assign pink to girls and light blue to boys, starting at age 1 day, it may not be easy though to put together a coherent manly looking outfit that involves pink shoes. Maybe we should have a race, who of our specialists can come up with a picture of such an outfit. Y. Raise your voice. Put on some heels.
Regen
I think the pole is a bit skewed and poorly made. For example, "With the right outfit" and "yes, they can wear them" are too closely related. I think a second question would have been better as well as a rewarding of the first question. For example: Question 1: Should men wear pink high heels? -Yes! -I'm not thrilled with the idea. -No! Question 2: If so, in what way? -Any way! -Only with the right outfit. -Only for the home. -Only in bed. -No to #1.
Crazyewok
I'm probbaly gunna get some negative comments for this. But in public NO!!!! Not yet anyway. I think it would look to odd and draw to much attencion. In private sure.
HappyinHeels
I scanned this thread back to its origin and made a few observations; Simcity3 started the thread posing the question and personally concluding pink heels could be worn but with care as to location and outfit. Bubba136 noted that a man wearing a high-heeled shoe of the pink color, and its automatic connection to anything feminine, would essentially become a moot point when one considers the MAN is wearing a HIGH-HEELED SHOE. If such a person openly chooses to wear such a feminine article of clothing then it is a foregone conclusion that he doesn't give a penny for anyone's negative thought on the color. Crazyewok notes that he doesn't like the idea of any public wearing. Yet, within the last week or so, Crazyewok has begun to discover his real identity and has opened up to people in his world. Somewhere his path may cross that of another individual finding their place in the world and that guy might be wearing pink heels. This is where the rubber meets the road-perhaps where the heel meets the sidewalk for this thread. Everyone here needs to find out where they are and where they are going as human beings. The same reasons the gender barrier for style of shoe worn should (and is) be broken hold true for the half-baked idea that one particular color (PINK) must be reserved for women. Men are now wearing extremely nice pink ties and pink shirts with their business suits. I love pink because I love the outdoors and growing flowers many of which are pink. WHich brings us to what roniinheels said. He will participate in a 10 mile walk for cancer in August wearing ALL pink. The participants should be emulated for the type of human being the world needs more of. THE SUBSTANCE OF ONE'S CHARITABLE DEEDS SHOULD NEVER BECOME OBSCURED BY THE SYMBOLISM OF ARTIFICIAL COLOR BARRIERS. Let fashion freedom ring! Liberty and justice for all! Crazyewok
I'm not aginst men wearing pink. But I think society needs to get used to heel wearing men first before throwing pink heels at them. All I'm saying is that its best to take small steps. But that just my opinion.
