I am reasonably competent in 10cm heels, but I don’t think I’d care to run a race in them! Partly I’d be worried about damaging my heels! But as you say, an interesting discipline!

Office Heels - How High Do You Dare Wear?
higherheels replied to SexyToesToo's topic in For the girls
Wow, most of you are wearing rather high heels to the office. My highest ones are about 13 cm but they are wedges with a platform, so still a simple style, nothing too fancy. For heels without a platform I wear a maximum of 10 cm for the office. Anything higher really depends on the style if it is suitable for the office. Also a 10 cm heel is still comfortable enough for wearing the whole day. -
If I remember correctly a similar event took place in Germany a long time ago. A high heel race sure is an interesting discipline 😄

Leviticus Boots are amazing and great to go out in.

Frankly, I think they are ugly, particularly if worn by a girl of relatively modest build. Almost orthopaedic in style. I really can't see the appeal.

The High Heeled Ruminations Of Melrose Plant
mlroseplant replied to mlroseplant's topic in For the guys
HA! I got a private message on social media after church today saying, "I didn't see you after church to beg for your approval on my improved shoe choice." Accompanying this was a photo of her feet in red sandals with wedge heels. Pretty cute overall! I feel a little bit funny about sharing it here, so I'll just share what I wore. I was kind of ambitious this week, with Michael Kors almost vintage sandals (circa 2012) with 5 1/2" heels, 1" platform. -

The stories I seem to remember predate the skorts. And they involved Steve. How is Steve these days? Haven't heard from him in an age! Here is what I wore to church today. Ankle breakers, is what my friend called them. -
Yes Leviticus is hard going. The boots seem much more inviting

I have tried to read Leviticus several times, and I just can't get through it. Somehow or other I always gloss through all that stuff and wind up at Joshua.

I didn’t dare take my eyes off the road!!!

I have no bad stories to tell about my wearing heels with my skorts. I get compliments from mostly women when i wear heels with short skorts. BTW, on the 4th of July i wore a flag decorated skort , white women's top and my double banded red sandals. Got compliments. Today for church, I wore white dress pants, a red white and blue patriotic polo shirt with my Aerosoles red patent pumps with 3-1/2 " stacked heels. After church I wore my red double banded sandals with 3-1/2" stacked heels to show off my red pedi. got a couple compliments both in the supermarket and Walmart out shopping this morning. And of course I carried a red cross body bag, too! Happy Heeling, bluejay

Does anyone here own and wear amazing Leviticus Fashion Boots, how does the size fit with you, and what is your favorite thing about these boots to you? I look forward to your responses!

I had an old pair of (quite nice) Scarpa mountaineering boots do that - the Vibram sole came loose around the toe area. It was walkable, though irritating, flap-flap-flapping like that, and happily it was also easily fixable with contact cement once I got back to the boat

In neither case of forced shoe removal was it a broken heel. I suppose my hypothetical sign should have said, "MY SHOE BROKE." I've only had two heels actually break in 13 years, and neither of them were stilettos. I've had stilettos come loose before, but that's easily fixed. Usually what happens is that the shank breaks, allowing the heel to go all wonky. But these you can sort of deal with without removing your shoes. You might look a little funny, but you can deal with it. The reason I chose to remove my shoes in the two cases mentioned above is because if I didn't, it would have ruined the shoes. In one case, I lost a top lift (heel tip) on one of my sandals, and whatever wooden composite material the heels are made from does not resist abrasion very well. Once replaced (several times by now), those same sandals have lasted 268 miles and counting. I would have hated to lose that pair over a matter of pride. The other time I had to hoof it home shoeless was when the entire sole peeled off my pump, seemingly without warning. The only thing holding it on was the bit that's on the front part of the high heel. No amount of extreme high stepping would make this shoe wearable. Ripping the sole the rest of the way off seemed like a foolish option when the repair was so easy once I got home. The other sole had just started to come loose in the same way. I chose contact cement for the repair, and they seem to be doing just fine. -
High Heel Boots - Viva la revolución!!!

What exactly about that warning message was nasty or smug? I have no idea who you are, nobody here knows anything about you, so how on earth could you take it so personally? It's an incredibly simple process. If you post fetish content, it will be removed. I don't care who you are, male, female, royalty, nobody cares, the rules apply to everybody. Plenty of male members have been booted out for the exact same thing. Did you really need to start being nasty to me, about your own rule breaking, and simply being asked to read the rules? I ask people to re-read them simply because eI know full well, 99.9% of people don't read them, or they think they can just do whatever they like. But these comments your making publicly, about the rules you ignored, and simply being asked to go read them, this is not a good way to start anything new, no matter who you are. This has nothing to do with your sex either. I don't have a lot of time to do the paperwork here, so when I do, it's done fairly and applies to all. There has to be a "no-nonsense" approach. Most accept that they "forgot" or got caught not even reading the rules they agreed to, and just move on, but to publicly fight back and start being seriously rude about it? Seriously...? You don't even have the decency to ask via DM? You just go straight into "attack them publicly" mode? WOW... So now I've had to spend what little time I have, dealing with this, instead of approving new members who are awaiting to join. -
I saw this article on the CNN website about a high heels race in Spain as part of the local Pride festival. Apparently it has been going for quite a long time. Minimum heel height is four inches or 10cm - so they are racing in genuinely high heels. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/07/05/travel/madrid-pride-high-heel-race

Yes! I think I hit even higher speeds but I didn’t dare look at my speedometer - it was a fast and curvy descent on a narrow mountain road without guardrails. High risk, high consequence. 57mph was the last reading I saw.
-
YIPES!!
-
Oh I’ve descended quickly in the past - my record being 57mph down a steep pass in the Vosges. And that on a loaded touring bike. But I’m not a fan of such descents
-
First I have had my heel (either foot bed) break twice. Once I just had to take them off and go barefoot. Shyheels where's you need for speed? I had several trilling down hill rides, several where you had to get into the fast lane to exit, and you have a car on your tail, at about 45 mph. Forgot: on sew up bike tires, my 15 speed touring bike.
-
That would not be much fun at all. One of the reasons I am hesitant about going out in stilettos is the fear of just such a thing happening. The heels look so precarious - so easy to imagine breakage and the aforementioned barefoot walk home. That's one of the drawbacks to being a creative - a vivid imagination. It's why I am not a great downhiller on my bicycle. I can envision all too easily the consequences of missing my line or a loose piece of gravel
