So who is your favourite shoe designer?

My vote would go to Christain Louboutin

SW

My vote goes to the guy at Payless that picks a style to knock off every season. They actually do a good job most of the time.

Christian Louboutin. I could never understand why people pay more than a few hundred pounds for their shoes, now I have bitten the bullet and bought some Louboutins I can completely see why.

You can no longer get some of the best designs from last years collection. The Pigalles are to die for, the Rolande too.

You get what you pair for, I bet every girl with a pair of Louboutins thinks they got value for money!!

I do like to pair of Zonatti's that Gwyneth Paltrow was seen wearing in Rome last week but overall Louboutin has it as the moment!

SW

Honestly a girl can't have too many shoes!

Hi Everyone, It is hard to put into words why I like my Louboutins. As soon as I put them on I just feel amazing. They look so pretty and feel like a work of art, and despite not being as "out there" as some of the shoes I wear so many people were talking about them. Amanda - of course it was thanks to you that I got my pair! And yes, I really want to buy another pair. I am not sure which ones to get yet, some of the ones I really like have been discontinued. I might go into London like someone suggested in a PM and have a shop around. Isn't there supposed to be a Louboutin shop opening soon?! I would love to go there! Gwyneth Paltrow has been looking *amazing* recently, I have loved a lot of the heels she has been wearing. Didn't know they were Zonattis so thanks SW.

Giuseppe Zanotti makes some amazing shoes. I have a pair and the fit and comfort is incredible when you consider that they are 5 inch heels. My favourite designer is Pierre Hardy. I prefer his slighty understated designs to the raw, almost pornographic, sexiness of Louboutin. I love the shape of the arch on Pierre Hardy's high heels. Out of last years shoes the highest version of YSL's tribute simple open toe pump was my favoutite.

Here are some more. I would have posted them all at once but 5 photos is the maximum in one go. I can see Roz lusting after the pink Nicholas Kirkwood platforms. Just to show that high end expensive stuff is not all I lust after. I have included a pair from good old Topshop.

Very good question. Well, as my name would imply, my vote would go to Gianmarco Lorenzi. I love the look, quality and attainability. As a guy who has size 10M feet, I need well fitting 43 or 44 euro ladies to make life comfortable and functional. GML boots in 43 are perfect, 42 for certain models possible. For GML pumps, 43 as 42 is toe crushing. Jean-Gaborit from France has wonderful thigh high boots. I also love many models of Loriblu, Icone, Louboutin, Santa Cruz, Stuart Weitzman and Andriano Diaggi. For reasonably priced shoes, the hands down winner for me is Nine West. The choices for their sexy stilettos in size 12 is unbeatable! For mid-priced makers, I favour Italian Heels and Brazilian Orchid. Having said all that, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And thats waht makes life interesting. Cheers! Lorenziluvrr

As long as we are talking about "cutting edge" designs here, I would add Roberto Cavalli to the list. The wild patterns on his boots are striking. Aldo is pretty cool, and so are Franco Sarto, Biondini, and Ralph Lauren.
