mateuszpobog Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 In Poland it is rare. I saw some tv's, but official "heelers" is hard to achieve. People who love heels threre try to dress as woman (make femine) and to fake society about their sexual identity to wear heels in streets. I sew no other opportunity.
Elegant Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 That's not necessarily true. Perhaps most of them wear heels en femme because of strong gender dichotomy, but there are some people who break that stereotype. Take Marcin or me for example. What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
Thighboots2 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Location - Cambridge, UK. Opposite the Grafton Centre waiting to cross the road at 5pm Sunday 26th July. Finally I have seen a fellow man out in his heels. A Goth look complete with studded collar. All black ensemble that looked from the top of the bus to be mostly leather. Carrying an umberella as it was raining. His footwear were a pair of black platform ankle boots with a chunky heel. I'd go with 1" plat 4" heel. Very remenicent of the type of shoes/boots I wore in the 70s. His walk was the thing that drew my eye to him. Kind of like he was just getting used to the walking in heels thing. No attempt to hide his footwear as he was in skinny trousers tucked in to the boots. Not my sort of look but at least I have seen a fellow "heeler". Now I just want to see more. Simon. Are you confusing me with someone who gives a damn?
spiker Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Not heels as such, but a few weeks ago I was out in Ireland for work (Liffey Valley) and there was a guy walking around the hotel in a skirt. Saw him first of all in the day wearing a long ankle length denim skirt (with trainers - ugh!) and then later in the day wearing a long pleated skirt, yellow blouse and some flat slingbacks (I wasn't a fan of these either). I didn't like the overall look very much, but it was good to see him out there doing his thing without a care in the world. He was with a lady as well, I'm assuming it was his partner, but I could be wrong. It was interesting to see my colleagues' reactions, there was one point where someone said something a little derogatory and I was able to defend him by saying "leave him alone, he's happy", and they did. Spiker.
Elegant Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 That may be. I like the pic, a model looks very androgynous and these torn stockings and dress have that nice punk appeal . What is good for a goose, can be good for any gender!
JohnCinheels Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 only if looking at myself wearing counts life is short, heels are high, live it up!
stefan Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 I have had no sighting in Stockholm, Sweden. Best regards, Stefan
kikepa Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Yes, the necklace, blue shirt, torn stockings, and hh oxfords being worn by the Asian on the right - it's a guy. Those who really care about us don't make a fuss about what we wear. Those who make a fuss about what we wear really don't care about us.
HeelD Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Last night I paid a visit to the Tate Modern in London for an hour. While walking around the Surrealism section I spotted a guy wearing a grey straight cut sleeveless dress with zip details, white skinny jeans (or they may have been leggings) and brown (IIRC) ankle boots with a 3 inch block heel. His whole style reminded me of Prince (he certainly had Prince's skin tone and 80s hair). He was very fashion forward I thought. The creme de la creme was he was walking around the gallery arm in arm with his cute girlfriend and no one batted an eyelid (it was very quiet at that time). Heel-D - Freestyling since 2005
hh4evr1 Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 The other day I saw a teenage guy in jeans, with knee high boots over the top of the jeans. Im not sure if the boots were flat or had a heel due to the distance and angle I saw him from.

thighhighs Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 And as an answer to your last question, yes I've met one other guy from this forum in Stockholm. Actually I've met him twice... I'm not too sure where the other Swedes are from, or I've forgotten, haven't been here for almost a year now... My favourite boots: Bronx Scarlet Hi, as in my avatar.

hhboots Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 When I lived in Northern California for several years during the late 90's, I saw a few occurances of males in heels, but usually it was almost always on a full TV. I only recall seeing one other male, dressed like a typical male, that was wearing heels, I dont remember the exact place or year though, but it was during this timeframe. Unfortunately, in the area I live now (further up north), I have only seen myself doing it in public. I usually streetheel in surrounding suburbs and sometimes downtown, but rarely will do it near my home or workplace. Until I start seeing some other guys around here in heels, I will remain very self-conscious in doing this. After two years of doing it in public (and still rather discreetly), I still have fear of being seen by a coworker or friend. My wife is the only one close to me that knows I do this.
evoviii Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I saw a guy in Virginia Beach this past Sat. night. He had on black patent stilettos, about 4-5" heel, dark nylons and a dark gray pencil skirt with a slit up the back. For a top he had a white button up oxford. Some other things he had was a wife, dressed similarly (notably different sky blue strappy heels), and they both had identical dainty silver bracelet watches, I got a good look at those.
HappyinHeels Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 All, OK, This may not be technically accurate but, I was at my buddy's shoe in Chicago, and in walked a guy with a knee-length skirt, leggings, and wedge-heels boots on. As I noticed his heels he noticed my kneeboots with a 6" chunky heel and we chatted a bit. As he came in from outside I guess it counts as streetheeling. HappyinHeels
Heelster Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Have never seen another guy wearing heels in person other than a couple cross dressers. Rarely see another guy wearing western boots.
