Majo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 This ad appeared in today's magazine of one of the major newspapers of Argentina. Quite provocative for our type of society, even though some of the brands clerks are very supportive when it comes to trying heels at their stores. The tatoos reed: on the left arm: "The superior man" on the foot: "Human male" on the right arm: "They will be one" I have several shoes and boots from this brand.
JeffB Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Well now, that certainly looks cool! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
mtnsofheels Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Good ad for sure, now we need to support some ads like that here up north!
Histiletto Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Ole' for SARKANY! I hope this advertisement campaign is successful. It at least plants the seed encouraging the idea that men do wear high heels.
Majo Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 I forgot to point out: the letters in his hand say desire, want, covet.
Steve63130 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Interesting find, Majo! Thanks for sharing it with us! Steve
Histiletto Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Hey Majo, There's a tattoo on his neck that I couldn't totally read and the picture is no longer available right now, at least on line at the Flickr site.
Majo Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 The last word could be male... but in the original I can't see what's before. I didn't visit the site until today. There is a video that speaks for itself. You can see it at www.sarkany.com The legends say The superior man... The superior man... is more than the sum of feminine and masculine the superior man... shoes... men... both desired by women... the superior man... the superior man... that can with her and more It's time... to elevate. I don't like his current collections in Argentina. Too much flatforms, ugly stuff. That's why I'm not buying shoes these days.
Steve63130 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Majo, That web site is not the right URL. It should be http://www.rickysarkany.com/. Interesting video! Thank you. Steve
SF Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I tried that website and it connects to what looks like a web hosting site in German……????? sf Steve, Ha Ha… We must both be here at the same time!! I just saw your update, will give it a try… sf "Why should girls have all the fun!!"
Steve63130 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 SF, See my post just before yours. Steve
SF Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Interesting that this site is from Argentina… Back in 1996, I was in Argentina for 5+ weeks, on business. When I was there I saw more gals wearing high heels than I had ever seen before. The shoes (and the gals) looked fabulous. Two of my female traveling companions commented many times about the heels the Argentine gals were wearing, and of course; they also bought some heeled sandals for themselves. As a guy who had worn women's shoes (flats) for many years, I was intrigued. Upon return to the U.S. I happened to be in a store shoe shopping for flats when I saw a pair of high heeled thong sandals. Thinking of what I had seen in Argentina, I tried the shoes on, they fit and I was hooked!!! And now, from Argentina there is an advertisement of a guy in high heels!! How appropriate!!! Take care all, sf Included is a pic of my first pair of Argentina inspired high heels…. "Why should girls have all the fun!!"
Steve63130 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 SF, Great looking sandals. I like them a lot. You need a nice pedicure with a touch of color! Steve
