Bubba136 Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 or, as Sgt. Preston of the Canadian Mounties would say: "On King, On, you huskies!" (looks like a mukluk with fur) Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

mk4625 Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 I saw these at Macys on Saturday. Luckily even Katherine thought they were repulsive. Michael
Bubba136 Posted May 4, 2004 Posted May 4, 2004 I actually saw a lady wearing a pair of those at lunch in a restaurant yesterday. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
sscotty727 Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 I think it was what Tom Hanks made in the movie Castaway while on the island.
shyguy Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Didn't know moths were into eating leather too He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
BobHH Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 Lots of new shoe pictures at Style.com, for example: http://www.style.com/trends/accessoryreport/F2004RTW/paris/bfrisoni/index.html

JinxieKat Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 Ok, these are pretty bad too. A walking advertisment for Lifesavers Candy! http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/1722460/c/14.html I do love zappos, but that is a bit much! JinxieKat
Paul (North-East) Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 It's frightening that somebody actually designed this stuff. Maybe this thread should have a warning - NOT TO BE VIEWED BY THOSE OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION. Paul.
nhoj62 Posted May 9, 2004 Posted May 9, 2004 some of these shoes should come with a public health warning on them! later nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
TXT-1 Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 normally I LOVE platforms NOT these though, whoever designed them was :drinking: heavily later, TXT-1
Bubba136 Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 i wonder if there's anyway we can find out how many pair of those shoes were manufactured and how many were actually sold. As bad as they look it would be a shame if most of them just became filler in some trash dump somewhere. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
nhoj62 Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 txt-1 is that a brick or a shoe?, i can`t tell nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
shyguy Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 A brick is probably more comfortable. He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly

nhoj62 Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 heelfan is that a shoe or a cover for a golf club? nhoj62 the higher the boot, the higher the heel, the better the feeling!
shyguy Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 By special occasion I take it you mean a clowns convention?? He was so narrow minded he could see through a keyhole with both eyes. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly
J-Nation Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 This reminds me, I work near the village of Clowne in Derbyshire (UK) and their local higher education establishment is known, not surprisingly, as Clowne College; I can't stop myself imagining people coming out of the place with their degree, wearing red noses, big shoes, trousers big enough to pour buckets of water down, and driving a car that all the doors fall off! Emma
Heelfan Posted May 14, 2004 Author Posted May 14, 2004 Marvellous postings folks! Emma don't forget the mudguards also falling off and the capitulatory squirt of steam from the radiator! That "Clown Shoe" by the way, was a perfectly serious ladies' boot from Zappos' current online range. Just think how hurt their board of directors would look if they were to read our derisory and sniggersome comments! Cheerfully yours, Heelfan Onwards and upwards!
Bubba136 Posted May 15, 2004 Posted May 15, 2004 here's a couple that are not quite as "bold"! Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Guest Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Here's a celeb that hasn't been around for a while, Alanis Morisette: I took a picture of the telly the other morning while she was interviewed. They certainly are strange shoes, a huge round heel. I don't find them sexy! Comments please.
