  1. Sorry, but you are projecting to much here. I don't wear heels to attract attention. I do get attention simply because I wear fabulous heels and boots all the time. But I get so much hip pain relief that I will wear them for the rest of my life. I was at a conference and walked in to a breakout session. A woman sitting in the back told me I walked like a man in my heels. So after putting some materials down in a chair, I walked back to where the two women were sitting and ask "Do you want me to walk this way?" and I walked back to my seat while over rotating my hips. "Damn" was their only comment.
  2. Ahhh, the price we pay for the green stuff.
  3. EdeeMe assertiveness is really CONFIDENCE. Don't waste your time on heels that are "not very comfortable". If every step is an "ouch" you will look like a clown. I have been standing (and walking) in heels for over 8 hours a day this summer, and my feet are not happy at about 7.5 hours in AND that's in my comfortable heels.

Nothing was mention about a man wearing heels. Mostly about wearing heels, brands, types, ...

Still waiting for the heels show above. I only write in this space when I get new shoes or when some unusual thing happens. The last few days I have been at a statewide convention with 300+ people. I wore three different heels, by Steve Madden mules/wedges, Vince Camuto mules, JS knee highs. I must have had over 20 conversation with women about heels in the last 2.5 days And not the usual 'I can't wear heels" types. Although one woman told me use to wear high heels until she had a baby and her feet swelled. Last night at a 'party', one woman asked me if my feet were sore (she had seen me in heels for at least 14 hours) - "No." Many of these conversations were more than "I just love your shoes", some lasted 20+ minutes and continued during the following days. And I saw a lot of heels as well.
  6. I have many black boots. And other colors boots to. In fact wore my knee high faux suede Jessica Simpson's today over my faux leather pants. Had a talk with a woman this weekend that only wears black high heels. She loved the heels I had on, she only wished they were black. And we both wear size 10.
  7. I hope you keep up your incline ankle lifts. Practice on both side. They're great for wearing heels.
  8. I have been wearing heels to work (and almost everywhere else) for over 10 years. I have heard the “How can you wear those? I can’t wear heels" statement hundreds of times. Here are some on the reasons I have heard and some I have reasoned myself. (1) Their feet got wider when they got pregnant and they can't get heels that fit, now. A very valid reason. (2) They ruin their feet when they were young by wear ill fitting heels. (3) They never learned how, they have weak ankles, never ran or played sports, so they never strengthen their ankle. (4) They wore running (trainers for the Brits) their whole life and never developed the balance needed to wear heels. I watched a college graduation 10 years ago and you could see those women have trouble walking in heels. (5) They buy heels solely on looks and not fit, so they look pretty but never fits right. Result: the heels hurt their feet when they walk. That leads to them to equating heels with pain.

Just an up date on some heels I purchase. These Red Croc finally came in. Unfortunately, they didn't fit. They were a size 10 because they sold out of size 11 fast. Great looking shoes!!! Wish they fit. So I exchange them for these, in size 11. Hope they fit.
  10. @Shyheels one of the reasons I see so many high heels is because I have take on a leadership position in my line of work and take part in executive level meetings with the leaders from other sectors.
  11. As a person who wears short shorts with knee high boots and a Hawaiian shirts occasionally in the summer, I see nothing wrong with the look, EXCEPT the height of the boots. But at 70, I could be delusional (but I doubt it).
  12. My first heels were acquisition from my first wife in about 1977-78. It had (I think) 2 inch heels. Had them till the mid 1990's when they wore out. In 2011, I determine that my numerous ankle injuries was due to men's shoes not fitting my foot shape, so I switched to only women's shoe. No ankle issues since. I Started with mild 1.5 to 2 inch heels. It took a lot of nerve wracking to get over the clicking sound, but now I enjoy it. In February 2015 I had a (medical) need to raise a heel 4 inch, but I couldn't raise just one foot, so I went to DSW and found a pair of 4 inch heels in the clearance area. Put them on and within a minute found my balance and have been high heels since.
  13. Well today just happens to be a stiletto day, knee high suede Jessica Simpson's. ===== Not even one second look at my knee boots. Must be normal now.
  14. At least they were block heels, not stilettos.😀
  15. I walked the Avebury Henge and Stone Circles outer henge in ankle boots back in 2019. I also had a damaged peroneal tendon at the time. It was not fun.
  16. I have only worn women's shoes for 14+ years and high heels for 10+. It's about fit for me. My ankle issues have disappeared since switching. I have gotten over the sound of my heels. In fact, I will sometimes walk harder to make more noise. You got to push the envelope! And I am now known statewide for my heels.
  17. I just ordered these Freebird Detroit in Red Croc. I had hoped to get a size 11, BUT I waited too long, so hopefully a size 10 works. A 40% off Mother's Day sale was my incentive, $275 otherwise.
  18. I need to see an average of 6 stilettos a day for a recession. But we are on the way.
  19. Several (4) more tall stilettos at a meeting today, one with spikes. Only 30 people at the meeting. Been seeing at least 2 tall stilettos every day this week.
  20. I have been seeing more and more heels at work. Mostly 3+inch block heels, but heels none the less.
  21. Women with that size of a foot are most likely tall already and wouldn't want to be taller.
  22. I just returned from our spring state-wide convention in a swanky hotel in southern California. One night, last time we where down here, there was a special Bogadi park zone outside that hotel where the convention was held. And there were several cars parked in it. This Friday I saw 50 to 60 4" stilettoes, at least 30 4" block heels, many many tall wedges. Late teens to old ladies. High heels are not dead in this area. Many more high heels at the convention than in past years. More in Cali World later.

I thought I would start a blog of some of my daily events. So I start with today's events. Today I decided to go shopping BEFORE work. I also plan on wearing my new Steven Madden Manner. Found out real fast that driving in the Manners was impossible, so I took a pair to drive in. My destination was a large mall. I parked my car and put on the Manners. So comfortable. Walked in through a store and paid off my minor credit card bill. The woman who took my money went wild over my fingernails. Called another woman over to see them and asked alot of questions. Then when I walked away they saw my heels and made positive comments about them. Next stop was the Steve Madden store. Store was empty, but the saleswoman greeted by "Haven't seen you for a while, what can I get for you." I told here I wanted to get another Manner, in the tan color, but I needed to pay with my Steve Madden gift card. She did a great job and I got all the special added discounts (and MORE). This is where shopping in person really pays off. She went out of her way to get me an unreal low price. While I was there I took the opportunity to try on the Deanna. My feet are not meant for pumps. A few doors down was the Aldo store. I love their gel pads, wear them almost all my heels. So I went in and got another 5 pairs of pads. I think I sold some pads to the woman behind the counter. She loved my heels and asked me to teach her how to walk in heels. I walked back to my car and off to work. Overall today I had at least 15 people (including 3 guys) tell me they liked, loved, or WOW for those Manners. That's the most reaction I have ever gotten with a pair of heels and I wear heels every day. Also had at least a dozen women ask me about my nails, who and where did I get them done.
