at9
He is a fashion journalist. Saw this in today's Observer. The sort of boots I see women wearing all the time. Not sure I hugely like them but they would be very ordinary or normal for women. He's wearing them as if they are similarly ordinary for men.
jeremy1986
Quite funky. I saw a similar pair on asos today. Still a little 'fringy' for men , i think... but still great to see.

Looks like a good outfit to me, the platform heels look rugged and powerful....
Shyheels
I’m no fan if platforms, but heeled ankle boots seem perfectly feasible to me
5150PLB1
Reminds me of late 1970's men's disco platform shoes.
Cali
The front platform is very different that all my platform shoes (and I like platforms!). Notice how far back it protrudes. To me it looks about an inch too long.
Isolathor
These shoes look terrible to me, like a medical shoe to rectify a bone/leg issue. ❤️ my wife in heels (and without ...)
Shyheels
The photo appears to have been taken with a wide angle lens, which wouldn’t have helped with the proportions
