Thighbootguy
I stopped in Sam's last night after work. I was in a hurry and did not change from my work shoes to my boots. At the checkout the register operator asked, "So where are your boots?" The staff has come to expect me to be wearing thigh boots. This morning I took a couple hours off from work and visited the County property assessment office. I had to park several city blocks away from the court house so I had a nice walk to and from the building. I was wearing a black leather blazer over a white ribbed turtleneck, jeans, and black leather pull on thigh boots with 4" stilettos. I was surprised that I hardly got any notice as I walked. In the court house it was much the same. In the office I was standing at a counter that hid everything from my chest down so the clerk really couldn’t see my boots. It was the same in the Tax office. My next stop was the police station to contest a parking ticket. I walked in wearing my boots and filled out all the forms, all without notice or comment. I'm contesting the ticket on the grounds that the city put up the no parking sign while I was parked and then gave me a ticket for being parked in a no parking zone. My boots really are just another pair of shoes. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
Thighbootguy
I just ran out to a grocery store I haven’t visited in years. I wore jeans, a white ribbed turtleneck, black leather thigh boots with 4" stilettos and my black suede long coat. The boos disappear up under the coat and are not really noticeable as thigh boots unless I tale a long step. I think a few people noticed I was wearing heels but I didn't get any notice at all. I thought the visit was going to generate a little more interest than it did because I have never worn boots in that store before. After the grocery, I stopped in a Walgreen's for a fine fingernail file. I get a harsh sound when my salon nail plucks a guitar string if I have just filed them with a course file. Anyway, as I was looking for the file I noticed a nice looking lady walk by wearing a pair of knee high black suede boots with 3" heels. She was looking at makeup which was right by the nails stuff. I pulled a bunch of nerve together and said, "Excuse me but how do you select a foundation color?" She gave me a smile and said, "Out of the bottle, it's almost impossible unless you can try it. I go to the makeup counter where they will test it on you." She didn't seem too surprised at my question. I said, "Thank you very much, and by the way, those are nice boots." That got me another smile and a thanks. Short but fun outing. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. Thighbootguy
This is all JeffB's fault. I recently posted in Jeff's Junt's of JeffB thread that I loved wearing opera gloves but I rarely wore them in public. After I posted that I started thinking that if I could wear thigh boots and a mini skirt in public, there was no reason I couldn’t wear opera gloves. So this morning I pulled out a pair of black cow leather opera gloves (not the shoulder length ones though) and put them on over a black turtleneck. I was also wearing jeans and a black leather vest (worn open). I didn't bother with a coat because the temperature was in the low 60s (18F) and the gloves are quire warm. This is the middle of December in Cincinnati and I can never remember it being this warm. Normally I'm mushing through snow at this time of year. I wore the gloves as I drove to work but left them in the car when I went into work. After work I stopped in Sam's for a few items. I pulled on my gloves and a pair of ankle boots with 4" block heels worn over my jeans and with the leather vest and headed into the store. Black gloves over a black turtleneck didn’t generate too much contrast so the gloves didn't really stand out but I was still surprised at how little notice they seemed to generate. As I was standing in the checkout line, one of the register operators who knows me, called out a Hi (by first name) and waved. I returned the greeting. These gloves are not as "fine" as my longer pair and I was concerned that they would inhibit operating the credit card machine at the register but everything went well. Before I left the Sam's parking lot I stopped at the gas pumps and filled up my car. It was busy but no one seemed to notice me at all. I will have to get more wear out of my gloves but if the temperature drops I'll have to wear a coat and that kind of negates the fun of the long gloves. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
roniheels
The hem of the sweater fell about where a micro skirt would fall, and when I had the mini skirt on with the sweater, it just peeked out from the bottom of the sweater so the needed covering was in place. With the long coat, however, you would have to look twice to see if I was wearing a skirt at all. (The gal at the pet store [a couple posts back] hadn't noticed I wasn't wearing one.) To make it stylish... probably add a belt. However, most folks know better than to ask me about being stylish. Shafted - Thanks for the kind thoughts. The last time I wore my thighboots in public, I had bought a sweater at the thrift shop that was size XXXL and the bottom of it came down to almost the tops of my knees. My female friend and I went to dinner that night while I was wearing this and she loved the combination. We went to a little cafe that we frequent and the waitress commented on my boots outfit in a positive manner.
Thighbootguy
I pushed the envelope a bit further this afternoon. I needed some cat food and I’ll admit I was hoping the gal at the pet food store, who had given me some positive comments before, would be on duty. Sadly, she was not but I’m getting ahead of myself. I went to the store wearing a black chemise but no shirt, a bright red suede skirt, black opaque hose, a pair of long gloves worn under my full length suede coat. Normally I wear a dress shirt or a turtleneck, the completely open neck was a new adventure. The outfit needs work…it didn’t look bad, but it wasn’t great either. The only male article I had on was my watch. I walked into the store and the clerk, (young gal) who has seem me before, greeted me and asked if I wanted a case of food and offered to get one if it wasn’t on the shelve. She helped me slide the full case out from under an opened one and I asked her about dry food. Anyway, after she rang up my stuff, there was no one else around and I said, “Let me put you on the spot, what would you do differently with this outfit?” She looked me over quickly and said, “I wouldn’t change anything… its cute.” I thanked her then as I was walking out she said, “You might add a necklace.” I thanked her again and headed out to my car. I think her advice is right on the mark with the open neck I was presenting. A necklace would break up the area a bit and look nice. Next stop was a near by Goodwill where I found a black leather wrap around short skirt and a pair of black slacks. All the notice I got was a few glances. A couple of observations… It’s silly to wear long gloves under a long sleeved coat. Sort of like wearing thigh boots, (other than the fact that boots and gloves are fun to wear) if you can’t see them, why bother. I also think this look was too fem for a guy to present as a guy. I either need to push it further or dial it back a good bit. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. Thighbootguy
It’s been a couple o days since I posted an outing so let me catch up. Thursday, at lunchtime, I browsed through the local Goodwill and spotted a long powder blue sweater dress and remembering what roniheels posted about going out in a long sweater… The last time I wore my thighboots in public, I had bought a sweater at the thrift shop that was size XXXL and the bottom of it came down to almost the tops of my knees. My female friend and I went to dinner that night while I was wearing this and she loved the combination. We went to a little cafe that we frequent and the waitress commented on my boots outfit in a positive manner. I thought that I’d give the dress a try. Saturday morning I headed for the nail salon wearing the sweater dress, which falls just above my knees, my long black suede coat, and black leather thigh boots with 4” stilettos. I was early and there was no waiting. The folks running the salon expect me to be wearing boots and often a skirt so they thought nothing of the sweater dress. Fortunately it was a cool morning because this is a very warm outfit. There was a lady waiting to have her nails done and we chatted about nails while I was having mine done. After the salon I headed for Walgreens for a couple of items. While I was there I wandered over to the cosmetic area. A very helpful sales lady asked me if I needed any help and I asked her how to choose a foundation color. She said that was a very difficult chore because the color you see in the bottle isn’t what shows on your skin. To make a long story short, she opened four different shades and tried them on me. In the course of our conversation I had told her it was for me. Considering that I was standing there in a sweater dress and thigh boots, she didn’t seem surprised or put out at all. She rang up my stuff and we bid each other a good day. Today I went to the Dayton Institute of Art, which is a really great museum in Dayton Ohio. I left home around 9:30 wearing a white satin top with a gold necklace and gold bracelet, a black suede A-line knee length skirt, black opaque hose, black leather thigh boots with 4” stilettos and my long black suede coat. The white satin and black suede made a great contrast. When I walked into the museum there was a lady greeting people and she gave me as warm and friendly a greeting as I have ever gotten. I asked if sketching was still allowed and she said it was and that there were folding stools in the coat room. I paid my admission and headed for the coat room where I picked up a stool and left my coat. I was now walking around wearing a white satin top and a black suede skirt. The outfit looked good. I spent the next two hours sketching. Only a few people came through the galleries and no one said a thing. I did wander through several galleries and as I was getting ready to leave I made use of the men’s room and had the room to myself. As I was leaving, the lady that greeted me asked what I had been sketching. I told her the two paintings I had worked on and she said they were tow of her favorites. We also chatted about the Monet the have and what I see in it. She said she would go up to the gallery and see if she saw the same thing. It seemed like she went out of her way to invite me back. As I was leaving Dayton, I stopped in a Goodwill and found an ivory long turtleneck that will look great with black leggings. On the drive home, I took off the long coat and wore a pair of black leather opera gloves over the white satin sleeves. Great looking driving gloves. I got home about 3:00 so I was out and about for 5½ hours, had a great time, and I’m exhausted. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. JeffB
TBG: Sounds like you had a couple of enjoyable outings. Bravo on your outing in that sweater dress, I'm sure that must've made for an exhilarating experience, one I'm dying to have myself as I'm most eager, even excited to wear a dress again. The sort of casual demeanor you display on your outings no doubt goes a long way in how you're so positively perceived by everyone around you, and the importance of that can't be expressed enough. Keep on keeping on! I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman!
roniheels
I'm so glad you had a good outing in your thighboots and sweater dress. For me, it was so comfortable and I thought it was a pretty combination. I'm sure it looked great on you, too. Congrats on another fine outing. Thighbootguy
I just had an absolutely wonderful day! I needed to renew my automobile license, go to the post office, and another trip to the Dayton Art Institute. I started about 8:15 so I would be there around the time the license bureau opened. I decided to wear something in the same vein I wore on my last outing but wanted to push things a little further. I wore a black silk top with a double strand pearl necklace and gold bracelet, light tan suede jeans, black leather thigh boots with 4” stilettos, and 1” gold hoop earrings. I was also carrying a black shoulder bag and sometimes my long black suede coat. You might be wondering how you get pull on thigh boots on over suede jeans… you don’t. The suede jeans are lined with a satin lining so I took advantage of that by pushing my arm down one leg of the jeans and gathering the jeans cuff in my hand, then pushing the jean’s leg (with my arm in it) down inside the boot shaft. I then pulled my arm out and put my foot in. I repeated the procedure for the other leg and it worked great. JeffB and I have commented on how great it feels to wear thigh boots over jeans but the feeling of these tight suede jeans with the satin lining in thigh boots was absolutely wonderful. I picked the light tan jeans with black boots because they would provide a contrast. I I think they looked great. I didn’t wear my coat to the license bureau. No one seemed to concerned about how I was dressed. The lady in line behind me had on a pair of Stewart Wiseman OTK boots and I complemented her on how nice they looked. On the way back to my car, two girls, that I took to be club dancers, passed me and gave me a deadpan look like they didn’t want any competition lurking around. Next stop was the post office and other than a pan handler wanting some money, the stop was uneventful. I drove to Dayton which is about a 40 min drive. I did wear my long driving gloves and they looked good over the black silk sleeves. At the Art Institute, I put my long coat on in the parking lot and walked in. Some of the desk folks recognized me and welcomed me back. I hung my coat up in the coat room and headed for a gallery. I spent the next 90 minutes in front of a Monet’ Lilly Pad painting and my sketch came out reasonably well. It was about noon and the folks at the desk pointed the museum’s cafe when I came in so I thought I take advantage of their hospitality and headed to the café for lunch. The place was filling up rapidly and they seated me at a small table and took my order. No one seemed to care that there was a guy wearing heeled boots and jewelry was dinning with them. The hostess and waitress seemed to go out of their way to be nice to me, but maybe they were just good at their jobs and made everyone feel welcomed. The could have made me feel unwelcomed but the didn’t. I wandered around the museum and, to my embarrassment, discovered a whole lower section that I didn’t know was there. I headed back to a gallery for one more quick sketch. The only comment I heard was when I came out of the Men’s room, some kid who (seriously) couldn’t figure out if it was a men’s room or not commented, “Oh that must be a ladies room.” I headed back to the lobby to get my coat and the place was packed. I had to come down a flight of stairs in the center of the lobby in front of the crowd. I did it as naturally as if I had been wearing guy’s attire. After I got my coat, I asked one of the staff if the Museum minded me coming in this way? She seemed surprised that I had asked and said, “Certainly not” and invited me back. I headed out to my car and took a couple of pictures the started home. I did stop in the same thrift store and found a red ling sleeved T-shirt. I wore my long driving gloves on the way home. This day has been great fun and I’m absolutely exhausted from the driving, sketching, and being out in public all day with not a male article on except my watch. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

Bravo!" fabulous look and style, may you be just the tip of the new male fashions. Thighbootguy
I mentioned earlier that I had gotten a parking ticket and gone to the police station in thigh boots with 4" stilettos to file an appeal. The other day I had to appear before the "Parking Violation Review Board" to explain why I shouldn't have been cited. I wore a red long sleeved pull over top, a black leather blazer, grey leggings and crotch high black leather boots with ½" block heels. I had to sit in the lobby of the police station for about 30 minutes with a dozen other people that were also appealing their tickets. No one, including the police, seemed to be concerned with my appearance, but then again this was not a "height of fashion" crowd either. An officer led me into the hearing where they seated me at the head of the conference table and let me explain that the no parking sign was not there when I parked my car, but was there two days later (along with the ticket) when I moved my car. They seemed sympathetic to my pleadings and said they'd let me know in a week. The whole thing was a waste of time, and looked like it was designed to be that way, but at least it offered me two opportunities to go out wearing boots. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
roniheels
Well at least you had the satisfaction of "getting it off your chest" and confidently wearing what you wanted to this hearing. Who knows, they might have secretly been so impressed with your attire and presentation that they will throw out the ticket. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Thighbootguy
I went shopping yesterday wearing a black long sleeved V neck knit top, tan suede pants, black leather thigh boots with 4" stilettos, a black leather jacket and black leather bag. This was similar to the outfit I recently wore to the Dayton Art Institute but with a shorter coat. The first stop was Sam's for a couple of items but I really took my time browsing the store. I noticed one lady wearing tight jeans and mid calf boots with a 2" lock heel. She walked passed me and I saw her looking at my boots, I glanced at hers and said, "Nice boots" which got me a smile and a thank you. A while later, in the checkout line, a young lady walked by and said, "I really like your boots" and I thanked her. Neither of these conversations lasted more than two seconds, but it doesn't take long to pay a complement. The next stop was a nearby Goodwill. The front parking lot was packed so I parked in the rear and walked around the building. I took my time and tried on a couple of coats but didn’t find anything I really wanted to try. I did overhear an "It takes all kinds" comment that I assumed was about me. I walked across the street to a rehab building supply store. A couple of the patrons gave me a second askance look but the staff was great and welcomed me with smiles. I found a set of 3' long brushes designed for cleaning out clothes dryer vents but will work great for cleaning the condenser grid coils under my refrigerator which are very difficult to access. It was a fun short outing. Well at least you had the satisfaction of "getting it off your chest" and confidently wearing what you wanted to this hearing. Who knows, they might have secretly been so impressed with your attire and presentation that they will throw out the ticket. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. The issue with the parking ticket is more on principal than anything else. Having to go to the police station twice already cost me more than the fine would have cost. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.

Thighbootguy
TBG: Now you know how we Philadelphians feel, having to deal with our dictatorial Parking Authority and the stormtroopers they employ to make life hellish for drivers in the city. Yeah, I understand, they denied my appeal but it is not worth the time to take it to court. =========== Just did my normal shopping trip to PetCo and Sams and a Goodwill wearing black leggings, a pullover bulky brown sweater, bright red suede skirt, long black suede coat and black leather thigh boots with 4" stilettos. It seems like the only people that bothered to notice were some kids with their parents. I overheard one mom replying, "I don't know" to a kid's question just after I walked by but that was all the reaction I got. I don't want to sound like I'm just looking for reactions… I'm not, but I've kind of gotten used to getting some reaction and the total lack thereof was noticeable. That might be a reassuring reinforcement for new heelers, people really don't care what you're wearing. I did see a couple of ladies wearing OTK boots with a flat heel. These seem to be very popular this year. I did not have an opportunity to complement them though. I just ran out to the Guitar center wearing the same sweater, leggings and boots, but without the skirt and I wore a short leather coat. Again the reaction was about the same… just another musician customer. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. A welcome comfort to newbies anxious about taking that very first high heeled step into a whole new world. I did see a couple of ladies wearing OTK boots with a flat heel. Thighbootguy
This week I had an appointment with a dental surgeon (nothing serious) that I had never seen before and thought I get things off on the right foot so I went to his office wearing a bulky pullover sweater, leggings, black leather thigh boots with 4” stilettos, and a black leather blazer, along with my black leather long strap bag. I arrived at the office and filled out forms in the waiting room and was shortly called into the dental suite. The doctor is a train buff with lots of train photos in the office, but both he and his staff were extremely professional. I was treated like any other mouth full of teeth. No one even looked twice at my boots. When I left the office and was walking out of the office building there was a group of ladies walking in and I got a courteous Hello, but not a second glance. When I got home, I managed to break an acrylic nail in a cabinet handle. Besides hurting like the dickens when I did it, it ruined the nail for guitar playing so I headed over to the nail salon to have the other three filled in and the broken one replaced. At the salon I only had a few minute wait before one of the gals called me to her station. We chatted about playing guitar and to my surprise she remembered that I wanted the nails a little thicker on the left side of the nail. (That’s the side that hits the string and wears down faster.) A little later I took my guitar out to the Guitar Center and had their repairman do a fret dressing and adjust the neck. I had set up a time with him because I wanted to watch what he did to my guitar. It wasn’t a matter of not trusting him, rather, I wanted to see how the operation was done and he was willing to show me. Anyway, I stood watching in the middle of the store for about an hour. On a previous trip this repairman was working with another customer when I walked in and he noticed the customer was noticing my boots. He looked over to me and said Hi (by name) and said, “I like your boots” with the intention of putting the customer at ease. I replied with a Thanks and the customer chimed in with an “I like them too.” Talk about good customer service! Anyway, I headed back home with new nails, and essentially a new guitar. It really was a fun boot day. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
Thighbootguy
I went out on a shopping trip this afternoon wearing black leggings, a pink knit open neck top, white denim skirt, my black leather crotch high boots with 5¼” stilettos, my long black suede coat and my long strap bag. I stopped at Sam’s and was greeted warmly by the staff. These boots are not the easiest to walk in so I was glad I had a cart. I made a point not to hang onto the cart, rather, I’d use it for balance from time to time. The hight of the heel also insures I use a short stride so I was all about taking my time. One of the things that made this trip interesting was that we had an ice storm last night and not all the ice has melted or been cleared. I just took care to make sure I was on solid dry ground before I put weight on each foot. In Sams, I took my time and wandered around a good bit. I got a couple of glances but I think it was mostly for the white skirt and pink top which were clearly visible under my coat. The next stop was a Remke’s Market (large grocery store) that I had never been to before. First time in a place is always kind of fun. I wandered around the store and found most of my items, but had to ask for help on the last one. The clerk didn’t miss a beat as he directed me to the item. One lady chose me to complain to about the rising food prices. I think it was because I was the only one around, but the fact I was wearing heeled boots and a skirt didn’t seem to bother her at all. At the register, which was right by the front doors, the register operator was wearing gloves because it was that cold at her station. One of the other customers and I were kidding her about wearing them and when she got to me she asked me if I wasn’t cold. (The pink open neck top does not look warm.) I told her I wasn’t cold and that my coat was very warm. I put my cart away and walked back to the register and let her see my boots and said, “There are warm too.” She asked me if they were leather, and I said they were. I got a nice smile as we bid each other a good afternoon. I walked carefully back to my car. The last stop was a Goodwill. Fortunately I got a near the door parking space because the parking lot was a sheet of ice. I went in and wandered a round and found a black pull over sweater and a long fringed shall like garment that does not have an opening other than a hole for your head. It just looked like it would be fun to wear. I chatted with a lady that was well dressed in jeans and a leather jacket who was looking for bargains. At the end of the conversation I asked her what she would do differently with that I was wearing. I said the boots and coat were a constant. She said,“I like the boots and coat but you might want a darker top. Are you wearing a skirt?” I said that I was and opened my coat a bit. She continued, “You probably should wear a darker skirt. There is a little too much contrast. She suggested a couple of colors that she thought would work well on me. I thanked her for her help and she seemed genuinely pleased that she had been asked for her opinion and that I was grateful for it. The gal running the register asked me where I had been keeping myself and we chatted about the snow and ice. I haven’t worn these boots for a while. As I said, they are not the easiest to walk in nor the most comfortable, but the full length side zipper make then very easy to get on and off. I think I’ll put a little more wear on them. All in all a fun afternoon. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned.
roniheels
I know I've said this before but don't you just love it when women not only compliment you on your attire, but even offer some constructive suggestions for future wear? Sounds like it was another fun and positive outing for you. I know when I have worn 6" stiletto high heels on public outings, my pace too slows down significantly. Those sound like really cool boots. Thighbootguy
6" stilettos on a public outing... Whee Hah. My ankle won't do that. The boots are Tony-U boots. For years I thought they were leather lined but it turns out they are not. The lining is a leather look alike fabric that has finally started showing the signs of wear by fraying along the edges. The past two afternoons I have stopped at Sam's on my way home from work. Yesterday I was wearing a dark red knit turtleneck and a black leather vest worn open, tonight it was a light colored pull over sweater, both days I wore black slacks size 14, a black leather blazer, black leather long strap purse, and black leather crotch high boots with 5¼" stilettos. I think it's just the geometry of the shoe, but when I take my first steps in these boots I really have to concentrate on my balance. After a few steps, walking becomes more natural and easier but I've learned to be wary of the first few steps. Both shopping trips were non-events. The staff greeted me as they have come to and no one even seemed to notice my boots (but I'm sure they did). I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. Thighbootguy
I went shopping this afternoon wearing a long sleeved cream white turtleneck with a long neck that bunches up very nicely, black leggings, a bright red suede above the knee length skirt, my long black suede coat and black leather crotch high boots with 5¼” stilettos. The boots disappear up under the hem of the skirt. The white red and black for am nice contrast and it make the outfit emphasize the skirt. The first stop was an electronics repair shop that I have been to many times before and always wearing boots. I dropped off a Fender Bassman head and asked about the other amp I have in for repair. The good news is it looks like a couple of failed diodes is all that is wrong and the parts are on order. I should get both amps back next week. The next stop was PetCo for some cat food. When I walked in a new female clerk asked what I wanted and said I needed some cat food. A male clerk called over, “He knows where it is” implying that she didn’t need to help me. I took it a little more negatively than that but didn’t react to the comment. I went over to the shelf and pulled off a case of food and headed to her register. As she was ringing the sale, another female clerk (the one that had commented on my outfits before) walked over and said, “I was just asking if our well dress customer had been in recently?” She then noticed I was wearing a different pair of boots than she had seen before and I had to show her how high they were by lifting my skirt a few inches. We chatted about sourced for boots and about wearing heels in general. The register operator also joined in the conversation. As I was leaving they told me to, “Take care Hon.” (I made sure I walked back to my car without a wobble of misstep.) The next stop was Sam’s. I only needed a few items but I tool my time and wandered around. I got a couple of glances but that was it. I joked and chatted with some folks in the register line and complemented a lady on a hair band she was wearing that had a white flower on the side. She seemed genuinely pleased at the complement, even if it came from a guy in a skirt and heeled boots. The next stop was a nearby goodwill. When I went in I noticed that one of the register clerks looked me over and we exchanged greetings. I wandered around and tried on a couple of leather coats but decided I already had a large enough collection. I found a couple of Pyrex pie plates and headed to the register of the gal that I had greeted. When it was my turn she started to greet me with “Good afternoon Sir” but she got halfway through the Sir and apparently thought that was not the proper greeting. I said, “Yeah that’s fine.” But from that point on I got called Hon. She complemented me on my coat and asked where I had gotten it. She also said that her boyfriend had gotten her her boots and showed them to me. When I got home and carried my stuff into the house, I noticed again that I was exhausted. Part of the issue might be age (<-- take note in sidebar) or that I run pretty hard all week and I’m expecting to rest on Saturday. But I think the main cause is that I’m worn out from going out and swimming against the accepted fashion current. It takes a conscious effort to present a nonchalant image while wearing a skirt and heeled thigh boots. I’m not at all uncomfortable presenting this image but I’m surprised at the effort it takes to do it. I dream of a world where chickens can cross roads without having their motives questioned. roniheels
TBG, Thank you for another great post and congrats on another fun outing. Whenever I spend a day out-and-about wearing high heels, I too am exhausted at the end of the day. Yes, part of it is the "effort" of displaying yourself while wearing high heels. But in my case, I try to go to as many different places as possible while wearing high heels not only to accomplish my tasks, but to see the various reactions from the different people who see me in high heels. And, whether we want to admit it or not, as comfortable as high heels are for those of us who have worn them for years to wear, it does take a little extra effort to walk in them, especially with the higher heels. So by all means, don't feel like the Lone Ranger in your tiredness.
