  1. I only wear heels for charity walks but I have always chosen platform shoes to wear with both chunky and stiletto heels.

the picture I have posted shoes three pairs that I have used

    From the left

PLEASER XTC826 - These are the heels that I used to walk 5 miles in 2009.  Heels are 7.5 inches with a 4 inch platform.  The ankle support is actually very good for a sandal style but if I could change anything it would be to have a padded leather insole and make them wider fitting.  You need to keep your wits about you as it is very easy to topple if you tread on a stone.  Its also a shame they never done a lower version with around a 5 inch heel and 1.5 inch platform

PLEASER DELIGHT 609LN - These are the heels I used to walk 10 miles in 2010 and also to do a street collection for 6 hours last year.  They have 6 inch heels and a 1.75 inch platform.  As they have a padded suede insole they are actually very comfortable although they don't offer the ankle support of the pair above.  If I could change anything about them I would make them wider fitting and make them with a wider ankle strap.  I would also fit steel heel tips for longer life

FUNTASMA MARY JANE 50X - These are the heels I will be wearing for a whole month in October 2014 as replacements for my normal shoes.  The heel is actually 4.5 inch high and the platform is around 1.5 inch so they are very easy to walk in compared to the other two pairs.  They are also a wide fitting but although all three pairs are size 10 these actually feel a size larger.  They have excellent ankle support  If there is anything I would change it would be to have a padded suede insole and make the strap a little wider.  It would also be nice if there was a higher heel version and also an open toe option.

As all of the above have PVC lining I found that my feet stuck to them.  They are nicer to wear with a thin pair of nylons, especially the Funtasma shoes.  My favourite style of heels have to be open toe boots.  They would have a chunky heel between 4 and 5 inches and around 3.5 elevation.  They would have to be made from pure soft leather with a suede lining to prevent sweating

  2. Well I have had the black Mary Janes for around 2 months now.  To get used to them I have worn them in the house.  To take up the slack I have made some insoles from a sheet of 8mm expanded foam.  This stuff makes them very comfortable.  The only problem with the shoe is that my feet sweat a lot. I am going to change what I wear with them on a daily basis.  First day I will wear a pair of socks.  The second day I will wear some pop socks and the third day I will go barefooted.  I will then repeat this process up until the 30th October.  On the last day which is Halloween (31st) I have decided that I will spend the day doing a street collection dressed up as a witch wearing a pair of fishnets.

Overall I don't see any foreseeable problem.  I just hope the heels don't wear out too fast

  3. Its ok having shoes with 17 inch heels but not if you cannot walk in them.  she does not even attempt to walk in them.  she is even having trouble standing.  people say a pair of 7.5 inch heels are extreme like the ones im wearing in my avatar but they are the very first pair of heels I had and I walked 5 miles in them.  im not being big headed but I think I could manage another 10 inches.  I would love to see how far I would get in them.  the secret lies in the surface you are walking on.  the average pavement is too risky but an indoor surface would be a lot safer.

    Oh I love a challenge

  4. fundraising.

I was looking for an idea to do some fundraising but I wanted to do something different.

I had the idea from the charity ''walk a mile in her shoes.

only difference I walked 5 miles in 7.5'' heels which are in my avatar.

the only problem is that I now enjoy wearing heels although I only wear them for fundraising.

come October I will be wearing a pair of 4 inch mary janes for a whole month non stop 7 days a week to raise money for the NSPCC.

I already have the shoes.  they have a nice block heel and a platform so they wont be too bad to walk in (I hope).

they actually feel lovely to wear with plenty of room.  being truthful they are a little on the large size

    post-3576-0-56370000-1392075833_thumb.jp

  5. they wont be dangerous if you ride a twist and go where both brakes are on the handlebars.  you only use your feet to stop you falling over at rest.

on the other hand you would look like a right dork riding a bike wearing a pair of 8 inch heels

  6. I have always been curious to know what high heels felt like to walk in.  my chance came in august 2009 when I wore 7.5'' platforms to raise money for charity.

since then I have loved the feel of heels on my feet and a pair with a elevation of around 3.5 to 4.25'' feels just right.

I have wore heels in public 3 times raising money for charity and in October im doing it again for a whole month wearing a pair of 4'' platform mary janes although the elevation is only just under 3''

I would love to wear heels every day.  I really like some of the shoe boot styles especially the open toe style.  with a block heel of around 4 inches they look quiet masculine depending on the colour.

perforated styles can be worn all year round.

I also like the shoe im wearing in my avatar although it would be best if it was about 2.5'' lower for everyday wearing plus a little wider fitting.

there are so many heels to choose from its hard to pick a pair.

if only I had skinny size UK7 feet instead of my UK10 feet

  7. im a member on a motorcycle forum and there are a couple of 3 word story topics on there to keep the members amused.

I have therefor decided to start one here to keep you all amused.  the rules are simple.  you can only enter three words at a time

and they need to coincide what the last three words are.  the only exception is the first part of the story which sets the scene.

here is the scene for this story.  feel free to add three words to keep the story going

Once upon a time there were three pairs of heels.  a pair of sandals, a pair of courts and a pair of boots.

the boots said to the sandals.  ''where are you going tonight?''

  8. I wish they done lots of walk a mile walks in the UK.  I would do them every week

It was from the walk a mile in her shoes that I originally had the idea from to wear heels and raise money for Help for Heroes back in 2009.

another inspiration was when Christopher Biggins and a few other guys walked 5kms to raise awareness of the 5km walks

    for Cancer Research UK.

I decided that 1 mile or 5kms was not far enough so I decided on 5 miles (8kms).  I also decided that 4 inch heels were not high enough

so I picked the Pleaser XTC 826 platforms I'm wearing in my avatar.

  9. i aint looked to see if I posted a couple of years ago but yes my avatar is me.

im wearing pleaser XTC 726 platform sandals

which I wore when I walked 5 miles for charity back in 2009.

they are actually quiet easy to walk in, even for a first timer like I was.

they are also quiet comfortable although a padded insole would of been nicer.

I wish I had kept them

  10. first thing that come to mind was tug of war.

back in the 1970's when I was in school aged around 10 or 11 the school used to run an annual tug of war event where the classes compete against each other.

shoe fashion for men and boys was platform shoes with high heels.

well it does not take a brain surgeon to realize that a pair of 4 inch heels make good anchors.

the playing field was a real state. the groundkeeper used to go potty.

makes me wonder if mens platforms will ever become fashionable again.  I used to love mine.  they were at least 4 inches but some of the boys had higher ones.

  11. try evostik contact adhesive.  it sticks like shit to a blanket.

I have used it to repair all sorts of materials including stick on soles on shoes.

    WARNING

once the two surfaces come into contact that's it.  you WONT be able to part them so

make sure that you get the positioning right

  12. I would love to try and walk in a pair like below.  it will be interesting to see the difference compared to my 7.5'' heels that I walked 5 miles in.

the problem as stated is ankle breakage.  a tiny stone or bit of gravel will throw you off balance.

personally I think they will be easy to walk in as long as you are indoors with no obstructions but outside would be very risky.

im always up for a challenge.  higher the better

  13. wearing nylons with boots depends entirely what the boot is lined with.

if it is a soft material such as cloth or soft suede I will even go barefoot but if it is hard feeling material I will wear nylons.

personally I like to go barefoot as much as possible regardless what I wear.  in the summer I wear mainly sandals or canvas shoes

    with no nylons or socks.

one advantage with nylons is that they stop your feet clinging to the inside of the shoe or sandal which can cause blisters.

  14. What do you wear with your heels taking into account what is healthy for you feet?

do you prefer nylons, barefeet or socks?

personally it depends on the time of year and the style of shoe and also the material

    here is my preferances

1/  sandals = barefeet no excuses or thin clear nylons if wearing for long periods to stop rubbing

2/  open toe courts or slingbacks = barefeet or thin clear tights in colder weather

3/  boots = nylons or barefeet if cloth lined or open toe. socks if it is very cold

4/  closed toe shoe or court = bare feet if leather lined or with thin tights

I don't tights as I find them very uncomfortable. I much prefer knee highs.

I don't like fishnets as they are tarty although I did wear some dayglo yellow ones once to set off my shoes

worn over a pair of dark tights when collecting for charity.

for the charity event I am organizing for October I will try and stick with knee highs until the shoes are well

and truly worn in and then I might go barefeet depending how comfortable the shoes feel on my feet.

as they are at the moment they feel very stiff

below are some photos of me in my heels showing me with and without nylons.  there is also a photo of me with tights and fishnets on wearing sandals.

tacky but effective and warmer than fishnets alone.

the pink sandals in my opinion look best bare feet although they are likely to rub and cause blisters after a long time.

the black towers actually look good with or without nylons.  I preferred them with nylons as they clung to my feet.

they were actually nice to walk in despite the height of the heel.  I wish they done a 4 or 5 inch version and also had a padded insole.

I have also put up a photo of my new mary janes with nylons

so everybody what would you wear with my selection?

  15. you can ''cheat'' your way to confidence.  if you look at the heels in my avatar think of the stares you would get if you walked down the road for the very first time wearing them.  even a woman would get some strange looks (think lady gaga)

I walked 5 miles for charity wearing them and I was not attempting to hide them.  man did I get some looks.

the secret is in that word CHARITY.  the shoes grab instant attention which is what you need when raising money for charity.  once you find out that the public are giving you support and wishing you all the best it wont be long before you don't give a toss.

my advice to anyone wanting to go public but are unsure of the response they will get is to set up a charity walk.  it is also a lot of fun

the easiest to set up is children in need.  make sure that you have some nice bright high heels.  higher the better.  then team them with a bright spotted skirt and a pair of tights or fishnets.

here is a picture of me doing children in need last year with my mate.  im the one in yellow.  my mate had to remove his high heels as one of the tips broke off.

we were both wearing bright clothing and heels and to say we attracted attention is an understatement.  walking in a busy city centre is not exactly hiding from the limelight

  16. Hi.  My shoes arrived today and I'm glad to say that I'm very pleased with them.  They feel very comfy and a LOT easier to walk in than my 7.5'' monsters I'm wearing in my avatar.

I have set up a fundraising page on just giving at  www.justgiving.com/heels4nspcc

All money will go to the NSPCC.  I will also be collecting during my daily duties in person as well.

What I find strange about the shoes that have just arrived is that they are a little large compared to the 6 inch stiletto's I have.

Both are UK size 10 but the new ones are one US size larger at 13 but one euro size smaller at 43 instead of 44.

as far as I know the only difference otherwise is that they are a wide fitting.

Although the shoe feels comfortable walking in the house for a minute or two it is impossible to say how they will feel after a whole day of general use and even more so how will I cope with wearing them for a month non stop as everyday shoes.

The best bit is yet to come.  my wife thought I was crazy attempting to walk 5 miles in the 7.5'' heels.  she knows I have another walk planned but not the full details.  all I have told her is that she will be fully involved.  I cant wait to see the look on her face when I tell her what I have planned.

All I need to do now is get a couple of t shirts and sweatshirts printed up.  The public will then know why I'm wearing them.

Most of all I must thank crossdressing closet for kindly providing the shoes for me.  there website is

    www.crossdressingcloset.com

the shoes I got may be black but I can offset the colour and make them stand out by wearing some red socks or stockings.

I will also be using a pair of Itsoles which I test walked for the inventor on my 10 mile walk.

if anyone wants to join me for the day I would not advise it because I have no set route or routine and it will be very hard to tell anyone where to meet me.  as I said I will be wearing them as my normal everyday shoes just as if they were a pair of trainers.

just posting a few photos up of my new shoes.  as you will notice they are a little on the large size but they seem to be ok to walk in.  I would sooner they are a little large than too tight. there were 2 other styles that took my fancy which are also below.  I particuly like the black and white ones as they offer good ankle support and my feet can breathe

  17. Im still waiting for the shoes to arrive.  I will need to wear them around the house to bed them in a bit and I need to find what will be most suitable to wear.  my normal socks, womens knee highs or barefoot.

something tells me normal socks will be a little too thick.  in an ideal world I prefer barefoot as I very rarely wear socks in the warmer months from around mid april until mid October or longer if its still mild.  it does not matter what im wearing I wont wear socks.  if I think they are rubbing while barefoot I will try some knee highs.

I just hope the company have no problems getting red ones for me although I did tell them to order white as a second choice with black being the last resort.

don't be embarresed by wearing heels in public.  start by setting up a fundraising event wearing high heels say for example walking a set distance for a charity blatently showing you heels off to the public.  that's what I done wearing the heels in my avatar to raise money for help for heroes.  I walked 5 miles in them.

you will see a photo at the top of me wearing my yellow heels.  the photo is of me and my friend collecting for children in need.  I actually had a lot of comments from women saying that I had very sexy legs.  im doing it again at the end of this year as well because it was such good fun

if I was single I would not think twice about wearing heels in public although they would not be very bold.  they would be like the black shoe boot in the picture above.  I also like the style DWW has in his avatar.

shoe boots have the advantage that the style is ok in the winter and that there is also open styles more suitable for summer use

  18. Hi.

You may remember me.  I'm the guy who walked 10 miles in a pair of 6 inch stilletos for charity back in 2010.

Since then I have done one more charity walk and another in planning which I will tell you about in a minute.

Back last year I managed to talk my mate into getting a pair of high heels and joining me on a little walk collecting money for Children in Need 2013.

Well all went well except that one of the tips broke off on my mates heel meaning he could not keep his balance.  It did not help that we were walking on a cobbled street.

I was wearing the same pink heels that I wore for the 10 mile walk except that I had painted them bright yellow.  My mate had a rather nice pair of 5 inch open toe shoe/boots come sandals that he had off ebay for £3+ p&p.

As I said in the end his heeled suffered damage meaning he had to wobble back to the car to put his trainers on.  Below is a photo of us on the walk in our fancy dress armed with a collection bucket.  We collected £220 in four hours and walked around 3 or 4 miles in total.

Anyway back to 2014.  Late last year there was a young woman living locally who spent a whole month walking around barefoot.  She even completed a 5km run barefooted.

Anyway this gave me an idea.  Why don't I walk around for a whole month wearing high heels.

There was no way that I would attempt it in the 6 inch heels as they are a rather poor fit and very hard work.  I wanted something a little better fitting with a heel of around 3 or 4 inches high.  This meant that I would need to find someone who can sponsor me by donating some suitable shoes.  I want them to be red as they need to be visible to the public.

I will be wearing them for a whole calendar month which will be October 2014.  There will be no exceptions except for when im driving.  I will be wearing them for the whole month as if they are my normal everyday mens shoes.

I got planning and slimmed my choice of style down to 5 pairs.  Originally I wanted a 3 inch heel with no platform or a 4 inch heel with a platform.

Anyway after a few emails had been sent I had a reply from a company who was willing to help me.  The only problem was the shoe they could offer was the right style but was a 4 inch heel with no platform.  As long as they are wide fitting I decided to accept the offer.  Hopefully all goes to plan.  Below is a picture of the styles I had in mind.  I think the 4 inch Mary Jane with a block heel would of been the easiest to walk in but due to limitations I have had to settle for number 4 but with a 4 inch heel.  I did not want open toe or sandals unless it was a last resort as I can not tell what the weather will be like

My only concern is from blisters.  It's going to be hard to decide if to wear a thin pair of socks, womens knee highs or go barefoot.  All have advantages and disadvantages.

I also need to wear them in before the month.  I can do this around the house a couple times a week.

oh I must mention the name of the company who are willing to kindly provide the shoes.  The website address is

    www.crossdressingcloset.com

To be honest I am actually starting to enjoy wearing high heels.  Don't ask me why.  Maybe its because they are different. There are a few styles I like including the style my mate had for children in need.  Shoe boots seem very stylish and have the advantage of a sandal with the support of a boot.  Ideal heel height for everyday use without a struggle would be 3 to 4 inch with a block heel and 5 inch with a platform and block heel

Just had an email from crossdresser closet to tell me that they are going to order a pair of the Mary Jane block heels especially for my charity fundraiser.  it is the best news I could of hoped for as the other heels would of been very hard work.

at least these will be a lot easier to walk in and the heel will hopefully last a month of non stop use.  when I had the 7.5'' heels for my 5 mile walk they showed no sign of wear.

the mary janes also have better ankle support
