  1. Thanks so much for the kind words.

i laid my wife to rest on friday.  im missing her like mad.

what i need to do now is think of the challenge for next year and how she would of offered me her support just like she has since my first high heel challenge back in august 2009.  today i have been testing the heels in the house.  i have been wearing them for around 5 hours with no socks.  so far they have been very comfortable although my feet feel a little sweaty.  tomorrow i will try them with some sports socks or pop socks.

the shoes are lovely to walk in.  this is my first pair of heels which have flex in the soles.  all previous pairs have been platform heels with no flex.  they are lovely to wear.  to be honest im really looking forward to wearing them for the four months (132 days).

i will of course in the meantime have to get the heel tips changed for steel tips.  at least people will hear me coming.  i also want to design a tee-shirt logo so people know why im walking round in a pair of high heels.

i will also in the future need to organise street collection permits for the four collections i want to do in the centre of swansea (UK).  I am hoping to be able to do a collection on 29th July which was my wifes birthday and also on 16th August which is our anniversary.  i also want a day in May and September

  2. Well my new heels arrived today.  they are a pair of pleaser divine 415 wide fitting T-bar 3'' stiletto heels in black as previously mentioned.

i am well happy with them.  they are a perfect fit and extremely comfortable.  they are also easy to walk in and have a flexible sole.  If only i could find a pair of peeptoe boots this good for everyday regular use i would be well happy.

anyway here i am in my heels

  3. Sadly since my last post my wife wendy has passed away after spending 132 days in hospital.  132 days will be the duration that i will be wearing my heels.  i will be wearing them for at least 8 hours per day every single day for 132 days.  like my Month in heels challenge in 2014 i expect my back will benefit

i now have to pick myself up and get on with life as best as i can.

I have now set up my justgiving donations page as well as a facebook page.  these can be viewed at

You can follow my progress on here and also my facebook page at

  4. Oh how i wish i had smaller feet.  i am a size UK10.

this means that if i want a pair of heels i have to keep searching on line.

if my feet were smaller say around a 7 or 8 it would mean that i would be able to go in to any shoe shop on the high street and buy a pair of heels over the counter.  it also means that i could try them on to see if they fit OK..

There are so many styles of heels that take my fancy but a lot are only available up to a UK8.  at the top of my wish list at the moment is a pair of peeptoe ankle boots with a chunky heel.  The chances of getting a pair to fit is very slim especially in my price range.

i would also like a nice pair of chunky heel sandals as well as a few other styles.  for my charity work i wish i had kept the 7.5'' pleaser heels that i used on the first walk.  They were very challenging to walk in but sure did get attention.  there are also some nice stiletto heels i like especially boots.  what i dont like is a patent finish

how many others wish they had smaller feet?

  5. I know i have posted this elsewhere but i think i should of posted it here instead.

i am on the lookout for a new pair of peeptoe boots.

i want a pair with a block heel no higher than 3 inches and a single sole (no platform)

if you know anywhere where i can get a pair similar to the photo in black suede type material

or satin finish let me know.  i dont want patent finish.

they need to be size UK10 in a wide (ish) fit.

I also dont want to spend out too much.  £45 maximum.

I have really fallen in love with the open toe boot.

They are the type of footwear that offers excellent ankle support and can be used almost all year round.

They also wont look out of place with a pair of jeans.

If you know anywhere that do a pair that meet my requirement especially size wise let me know by posting the link.

I wish i had size 7 or 8 feet as i could buy any pair i want and they would fit

  7. Very sorry to hear that your wife's health has taken a bad turn. I wish you two the best :(

Thanks.  that means so much to me.  i did have a bit of news today and it made me cry.

im going to be an uncle.  my youngest brother is going to be a father.

the last 9 months of my life has been hell.  just bad news followed by more bad news.

    worst is yet to come

  8. My wifes health has taken a turn for the worse and she is still in hospital fighting for her life due to complications.

it is now 18 weeks since she was admitted to hospital.

i was going to limit the challenge to 100 days but due to the change in circumstances i will wear heels for every day that my wife is in hospital.

my wife was admitted to hospital on 27th April so this is the day i will start my challenge and it will end on the date my wife is discharged

or passes away.  It really is that serious.

The shoes have been ordered and they should arrive in a few days time.  it is bank holiday so there is a slight delay.

i have ordered a pair of Pleaser Divine 415W T-Bar shoes which are wide fitting so should be fairly comfy for every day use.

if for any reason they need to be repaired i still have the 4 inch Mary Janes that i used for my 2014 and 2015 challenges.

I will be wearing both shoes with a combination of either sports socks, pop socks or bare footed.

My main problem will be hot sweaty feet which is the main reason i chose the T-Bar style.

during the challenge i will be doing a minimum of four street collections to raise money.

all funds raised will be donated to Ty Olwen

    http://www.tyolwen.org/

as well as the Cardiac unit of Morriston hospital in swansea (UK)

The challenge will be extremely demanding and emotional but its my way of saying a huge thank you

to all staff that have looked after my wife during the last few months.

  9. Well better late than never.  I must mention that i actually brought the date forward by a week as my mate could not get the day off work.

well i have managed to complete my half marathon in a pair of 4 inch heels.....just.

At the end my feet were in absolute agony.

i actually completed the walk in an amazing 6.5 hours.  At one point i actually walked 5 miles without stopping.

the last three miles were the hardest but during the last mile i could barely stand let alone walk.

I had a huge blister on the ball of each foot and a couple of small rub wounds on each foot.

The Mary Janes i wore held out well dispite being worn for a month during last years challenge.

There is still enough life in them to be used as stand ins for my next challenge next year.  This though

is another story altogether and will be my toughest to date.

Around £500 was raised in total

  10. The actual length of the challenge has still not been confirmed.  my wife is still in hospital due to complications.  it has now been 10 weeks and a day.  i think she will be in for another week maybe two weeks.  i can see the challenge lasting 3 months which means i will be wearing heels for august, september as well as october next year.  also in november i will be wearing my 6 inch sandals to raise money for Children in need.

to be honest im really looking forward to doing the challenge.  three months is a long time to wear a pair of heels day in day out, even if they are only 3 inch high.  the challenge will not only test me but the durability of the heels.

Anyway this year is not over yet.  its just under 7 weeks until i do my half marathon in my 4 inch mary janes.  To make this challenge even harder its possible that there could be a heatwave with temperatures of over 100 fahrenheit.

  11. I have decided that as i will be wearing my chosen heels for around 10 weeks that i will wear the T bar Pleaser Devine 415 heels.  i will be starting at the beginning of August 2016 continuing into October.

August can sometimes be very hot weather but October starts to get a lot cooler.

Advantages of my chosen style are

1/  will allow my feet to breathe

    2/  good ankle support

    3/  lighter weight

    4/  slightly thicker strap

i will of course need to change the plastic heel tips for steel tips so they will last (hopefully)

  12. Some people will most likely say that Pleaser heels are total crap just because they are made in china.  I have worn three various pleaser styles, all for charity fundraising.  The first pair was a pair of 7.5 inch block heel platforms which were 4 inches thick.  these would of been more comfortable to wear if they were a wider fit and had a padded insole.  believe it or not they were fairly easy to walk in even for 5 miles.  i wish i had actually kept them.  i also have a pair of 6 inch stiletto heels with a 1.75 inch platform. although the same size these felt different as they have a padded insole but feel a little narrower fit.  They were still easy to walk in though

    Both the above are sandals.

The most comfortable pleaser i have walked in is a 4 inch block heel mary jane with a 1 inch platform.  i wore these last year for 31 days as replacements for my normal mens shoes for at least 8 hours per day.  they were the same size but a wide fit.  they actually were around a size too large.  i could have easily gone down a size.  they had no insole padding but they were amazingly comfortable even curing by back ache.  They should suit both men and women as every day shoes.

as a general rule i say its down to the individual wearer to say what they feel comfortable and only take other wearers words as a guide.  i find a pleaser wide fit shoe to actually feel a lot larger than it is.

next year i will be wearing a pair of pleaser T-Bar shoes which have a 3 inch stiletto heel.  these will be wide fitting so again i expect them to suit me perfectly.  i will be wearing them every day for around 2 months for at least 8 hours per day.  oh i forgot to mention that i will be doing a half marathon wearing the 4 inch mary janes

  13. Hats of to you krazykev, but I think if it was me I would go for the t bar style in red with a white foot covering, not something I would normally do but I could be tempted.

i would also chose red.  they do the style in red but its a 4 inch heel and its also a normal fit and not wide fitting which is very important.  it seems as if they are only available in black which is a shame.

Pleaser actually make the T-Bar shoe in 3 heel heights but the 3 inch heel is the only wide fitting shoe and also only in black.

The 4 inch heel would be challenging to wear every day for 8 hours a day but the 6 inch would live up to their name of killer heels.  Even the 3 inch will let me know their presence after a couplee of months wearing them for 8 hours per day.

  14. I really like the T-Bar heels as they will allow my feet to breathe.  i think both will fit as well as each other and offer as much support as each other.  I have a pair of size UK10 mary janes similar to above with a 4 inch block heel and platforms that i will be using as a stand in emergency pair.  i found them very comfortable and easy to walk in and support was great.  What i did find is that they were a very generous fit compared to a normal size 10 from the same manufacturrer (pleaser).

The photo below shows how generous fitting they are.  its for this reason i will be getting a size smaller

    post-3576-0-05496800-1434313148_thumb.jp

  15. i agree with you puffer.  a pair of girly heels and outfit is not a good way of wearing heels unless its for charity where im trying to get attention.  i would actually love a pair of heels for everyday use as i found back last year where i wore a pair of 4 inch mary janes for a whole month that heels actually help ease the pain in my back.  to be honest not many people actually noticed i was wearing them as i was wearing them with jeans.

in the ideal world i would love a pair of boots for winter with a block heel around 4 inches with a small platform around half inch.

for summer i would consider a pair of boots with a peep toe and open sides and back that i could also wear with jeans or trousers.

as far as im concernedopen toe footwear should never be worn with stockings or nylons and socks are a big no go area when worn with open toe.  on the other hand i believe there are tights especially made for open toe footwear

  16. This challenge will take place next year and will involve me wearing high heels for a long duration much like when I wore a pair of 4'' Mary Janes for October 2014.

As I am writing this topic my Wife, Wendy is currently in hospital where she has been battling E-Coli and endocarditus.  She has now been in hospital for 7 weeks.  Just 6 weeks ago she was given just 24 hours to live.

The staff have been absolutely fantastic.  I have therefore decided to wear high heels for at least 8 hours per day for every day she has been in hospital to raise much needed money for the British Heart Foundation.  She has currently been in hospital for 7 weeks and she is expected to remain in hospital for at least another 1.5 to 2 weeks.

I have decided on a choice from 2 differewnt pairs of heels.

One has a 4 inch stiletto heel with a half inch platform and the other has a 3 inch stileeto heel with no platform.  Each shoe has its advantages and disadvantages.  One advantage of both shoes is that they are wide fitting which is essential for every day use.

    The shoes are

PLEASER CONTESSA 50X.  This shoe has a 4 inch heel with a thin 1/2 inch platform meaning it will soak up any imperfections that I happen to stand on.  It is a Mary Jane style with a slightly thinner looking ankle strap than my choice below that will give ankle support.  On the other hand there is no side openings to allow air to circulate round my feet and the strap will be a little weaker.  It will also be a little more challenging to walk in due to the extra half inch difference between heel height and platform height although this does not worry me.  The heel tip will also need to be replaced with a steel tip so it will last longer.

PLEASER DIVINE 415W.  This shoe has a 3 inch heel and no platform meaning it will be a little easier to walk in than my other option.  It is a d'orsay style with T bar which will allow air to circulate around my feet and give ankle support.  The ankle strap also looks a little wider meaning it will be stronger.  On the other hand the sole is thin so I will feel every little bump and stone I stand on.  The heel tip will also need to be replaced with a steel tip so it will last longer.

I feel as if I can comfortably walk in both pairs despite the extra 1/2 inch on the Mary Jane heel.  It's hard to say which shoe to pick as I intend to start the challenge at the beginning of August.  As a stand in pair of heels I am going to use the 4 inch Mary Janes that I used for my October 2014 challenge.  I am wearing the stand in heels in my avatar.  As these are very generous in fit I am considering dropping down to a size UK9.  I will be wearing them barefooted or with stockings and possibly thin sports socks.

I would of loved to wear sandals but there were no wide fitting sandals available to pick from.

What I do know for sure is that my back will be pain free at the end of the challenge.

Here is a picture of the 2 shoes in question.  Which one do you think I should wear.  I'm not really fussed on styling.  Funtion is more important than looks.

    post-3576-0-93651900-1434210268_thumb.jp

  17. Well there is now just 10 weeks to go until i put on my 4 inch mary janes and walk a half marathon.  This is just over three miles further than i have walked in heels in the past.  i expect i will have a few blisters at the end.  Oh lets re-word that.  I will have blisters at the end.

i am really looking forward to doing the challenge. The mary janes are great to walk in for every day use but walking over 13 miles is a totally different kettle of fish.

all i hope is that the shoes dont break or suffer any bad damage making them unwearable.  i also hope they have a little bit of life left in them at the end as i may need them for next years challenge where they will be useful as a stand in emergancy pair of heels.

Next years challenge will be another long period wearing heels non stop.  You can read the story about next year.  it is called heels for hearts challenge

  18. Just read the negative posts.  They dont realize the agony i go through when im doing long distance walks.  its not exactly pain free when your little toe nails fall out because of blisters.  i wonder what their opinions would be if they fell to cancer.  i hate to say this but i hope they rot in hell.  maybe they should be forced to walk a full marathon in a pair of 6 inch heels---without a platform sole.  OUCH

I was just thinking that myself.

i will be doing a half marathon in a pair of 4 inch heels.  i will be wearing the same 4 inch heels i wore for a month last october.  i think a half marathon in them will be a total different kettle of fish.  i think i will have a few blisters at the end

  19. OK Guys.  You wont wear your heels in public because you are wondering what people will say.

You need a way to combat this shyness.

Back in 2009 I walked in high heels for the very first time in public.

I was not trying to hide the fact that I was wearing them either.

What I done was to raise money for charity by doing a sponsored walk in heels.  I walked for 5 miles

and the heels I wore were 7.5 inches high.  These were teamed with a mini skirt and stockings.

The response i had from the public was great.  It made my day when women were saying

to me that I have very sexy legs..

The following year I walked 10 miles in a pair of bright pink 6 inch stilettos.  Again I was not attempting to hide them.

The ultimate challenge was last October when I wore a pair of 4 inch Mary Janes for the whole month.  These though were teamed with my normal clothing

Although they were easy to spot.  The 2014 photo shows me during the month dressed up as a witch were I done a street collection.

Also in 2013 and 2014 I dressed up in the 6 inch stiletto's to do a street collection for Children in need.  Me and my mate Steve now do Children in need every year

As the photos below show i am not trying to hide anything.

The bloke in the Children in need 2014 photo is my mate Steve who normally walks with me with the collection bucket but he wears heels for Children in need.  The 2015 photo is what I will be wearing for this years challenge.  the heels im wearing for the 2010 and children in need challenges are actually the same 6'' stiletto's

So if you want to wear heels in public start by doing it for charity.  Children in need is ideal as its good fun.  Just pair the heels with a sexy little skirt and stockings.  By the end of the day you will be saying to yourself that it was great fun

  20. December 2014 is not a month that went to plan.  I lost my Auntie to lung cancer.  To add insult to injury I find out two days later that my mother has just been diagnosed with lung cancer.  Things could not get much worse.

Anyway I decided that during 2015 I would set myself another high heel challenge to raise money for charity.  I chose to raise money for MacMillan nurses.

The date of the challenge is set for 22nd August 2015.  So what does my challenge involve?

Well I always try to make my challenges harder or further than the last challenge so this time im doing the distance of a Half Marathon which is about 13.25 miles.

I will be wearing the same Mary Janes that I wore for a month last year.  They fit well although a little large and they are comfortable.

My outfit that I will bewearing is totally green and comprises of a green charity T-Shirt, green skirt and green leggings.  The shoes will be staying black and they will be worn barefooted.

I have also set up a just giving donation page at

    www.justgiving.com/macmillanheels

I have also set up a facebook group called MacMillan heels 2015 at

    www.facebook.com/pages/MacMillan-Heels-2015/671908182931042

I am expecting the walk to take between 8 and 10 hours as I can walk faster and further in the Mary Janes than the 6 inch stiletto's that I wore for my 10 mile walk in 2010.

Again I will be carrying a collection bucket during the walk for which i will be setting up a collection permit.

So what problems can I expect during the 13+ miles?

Well I expect I will have a few blisters although they wont be as bad as the 10 mile walk.

I also expect my feet to get very hot as the shoes are not sandals and are made from PVC type material causing my feet to sweat.  To reduce this problem I will be putting talcum powder in the shoes to keep my feet dry.  I will also have plasters on my toes before I start to reduce friction on my toes.

I am also concerned about the ankle strap snapping.

Well below is a picture of me in my outfit and a close up of my shoe with my bare foot in it.  You can see that i have plenty of room.

  21. Well the half heeled marathon has been organised and will take place on 22nd of August 2015.  here is the fundraising page on justgiving

    https://www.justgiving.com/macmillanheels

and here is the facebook group

    https://www.facebook.com/pages/MacMillan-Heels-2015/671908182931042

Apart from the 4 inch Mary Janes that i wore for a month last october i will be in fancy dress which will consist of a pair of green leggings, a green MacMillan T-Shirt

and a little white mini skirt to hide my lunchbox :giggle:

Think of Robin Hood in heels and it will give you an idea of what i will look like.

Since i done my first high heel walk back in 2009 the idea has to been to be higher, further, longer and now even further again.  there are of course my street collections for children in need every November which i have now done twice.

    to date i have done

5 miles in 7.5'' heels (help for heroes)

10 miles in 6'' heels (cancer research)

31 days in 4'' heels (nspcc)

and in August, Half marathon in 4'' heels (MacMillan)

    5 hours in 6'' heels twice (children in need 2013 & 2014)

So which are my favoutrite heels?.  well this is an hard one.  for comfort it has to be the 4'' Mary Janes

but when it comes to overall style i would think the 7.5'' pleaser sandals i wore in 2009 have the most impact.

its just a shame they were not red.  if they fitted as good as the Mary Janmes i think i could do the half marathon in them.  i wish i still had them.

my biggest worry is if my shoes fail.  as i have size uk10 feet i just cannot walk into a supermarket or shoe shop and buy a nice pair of heels.

if i was asked if there was a single pair of heels that i likes i would most likely

pick an open toe boot with a chunky heel around 6 inches and a 2 inch platform made from a mesh material.

this would allow my feet to breathe and give great ankle support
