  1. I can see what you mean on the CANDY 09 heel. The only problem with the DELIGHT styles is that they only go up to size UK9. although i can get it on ok i was hoping to go up a size to allow for my feet swelling as they no doubt will when walking 10 miles. based on your opinion i think i would go for the KISS 209 followed by LIP 109. the KISS 209 has a lower rise. i will be walking on a smooth tar footpath. the padded insole will be a definite advantage. when i done my 5 mile walk the XTC826 i was wearing was ok but could have been a bit bigger. the insole was not padded at all although i found them easy to walk in. just for information it was also the very first time i have worn high heels. it is not that i like high heels but just a crazy way to get attention while trying to raise money (it works as well). i had only stood in them for 4 hours in a shop foyer to promote my walk. dont forget if you want to come to swansea and join me on my 10 mile walk and raise money for a good cause then let me know. it is not a race

  2. Hi I am back again to tell you that next year I will be twice as crazy. You may remember that I recently posted a thread about doing a 5 mile walk in 7.5'' XTC826 sandals which had 4’’ thick platforms. Just to let you know that I easily completed this distance with no muscle pains and only 3 small blisters. It took me 3.5 hours to complete. The walk was done to raise money for the HELP FOR HEROES charity. I raised £723. As I promised my wife, I would double the distance to 10 miles next year to raise money for CANCER RESEARCH if I completed 5 miles. Well now I want you to help me again. I have no doubt that I can do 10 miles but I want the help of the forum members to choose my heels for the picture I have posted showing 6 styles. My favourite is the CANDY 09 style. Full specs are below: CANDY 09 = 6.5’’ HEEL + 2.5 PLATFORM & 4’’ RISE DELIGHT 609 & 677 = 5.75’’ HEEL + 1.75 PLATFORM & 4’’ RISE KISS 209 = 6’’ HEEL + 2’’ PLATFORM & 4’’ RISE LIP 109 =5’’ HEEL + .1/2’’ PLATFORM & 4.5’’ RISE SEDUCE 208 = 5’’ HEEL + THIN SOLE & 5’’ RISE You don’t have to base your choice on any particular reason. You can just pick the one you like or which one you would pick to walk 10 miles in. Also if any forum member would be interested in participating in this walk next year than send me a message. The walk will be taking place in Swansea in the UK. I LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU HAPPY HEELING KRAZY KEV :):lmao::):lmao::)

  3. In some knee high boots on the treadmill and I admit that my feet hurt to some extent, but that's the price you gotta pay when you want to perfect walking in them as well as getting used to it... no pain no gain lol

The boots have about a 3" blade heel, no padding other than some thin socks to help control the sweating lol

Hope to manage 4.5" by christmas here... woohoo!

Whats up with you? i just walked 5 miles in a pair of these. i only got 2 blisters. i was also on a pavement and not a treadmill. i done it to raise money for a charity called HELP FOR HEROES

  4. Today (22 Aug 2009) I participated in what many people said was impossible. Walking 5 miles in high heels. I have just proven it is possible as I just walked from Swansea Civic Centre to Mumbles Pier (IN THE UK) which is 5 miles in total. It took all of 3.5 hours which actually surprised me. I know what you are thinking. What heels was he wearing? I will tell you. I suggest that you sit down. First I have to tell you that I had never worn high heels of any height unless of course you count mens platforms from the 1970's. I was wearing a pair of PLEASER XTC 826 womens sandals which have a huge 7.5 inches (not cm) chunky heel and a 4 inch platform. A lot of people told me it is impossible and cannot be done. WRONG it can be done and it is easier than you would think. It could also be that I had a secret inbuilt ability that I never knew about. The only injuries I had after the 5 miles was a small blister on each little toe which I expected to happen. I have uploaded 2 photos. One shows me after the first mile and the second one shows me at the final destination after 5 miles. There are precautions that need to be taken when undertaking suck walk. I suggest that you avoid soft and rough surfaces (sand is nearly impossible to walk in). you should also keep an eye open for stones and cracks etc. To put it straight heels of this type are safest on the dancefloor. It is so easy to lose your balance. I lost mine quiet a few times but i was very lucky that i never broke, twisted or sprained my ankles. I have also uploaded a picture of the sandals that I wore. anyway i hope you like the story. :):):)

  5. Today I wore my Pleaser XTC826 heels for around 4 hours while I was doing a collection to promote my sponsered walk on August 22nd 2009 and I have to say that I cannot believe how comfortable they are considering the height. I had a few aches but nothing too bad. Seems as if a few people have been trying to scare me. I feel ready to take on the world. The best bit was the looks I had. I was collecting in a busy supermarket and it was not the fact that I was wearing womens heels but the height of them. When I say I am doing a 5 mile walk in them they cant believe it. Anything for a good cause eh?

  6. Just a quick question asking for opinions. If you had to walk in 5'' heels which would be easiest? 5'' with platform soles or 5'' with thin soles? Would you choice also be your choice for walking longer distances? Could you walk 5 miles in 7.5'' heels with platform soles and a broad heel?

  7. stilletto heels are LEATHAL i remember watching a film that i cannot remember the title of but there was a scene in the film where a woman was being attacked by a man. eventually she had a chance to give him a good kicking. she kicked him in the forehead with a heel. the heel was bedded so far in his skull that she could not remove her shoe. as you can imagine the man was stone dead. he looked rather odd with a shoe stuck to his head:unsure::winkiss:

  8. i have not fallen over (YET!). i am doing ok around the house. cant practice outside for various reasons like there are a load of ar###oles living around where i live and the pavements must be from a warzone as they are riddled with potholes and ruts not to mention the rubbish thrown on the pavements. i have stood for 3 hours in them while repairing a computer and i was ok except that my workbench was made for a 6 foot person and not a 6 foot 6 person. i have faith in them as the sandals have a large heel and are not stilletos. i am in no hurry on the walk as the idea is to finish it in 1 piece and not in record time. the path i will be doing the walk on is smooth as a babies bum. i also plan to do a collection or 2 at local supermarkets. a LOT of people are going to be surprised if i finish the walk. if you thinks thats bad wait until i have done the walk as i have promised my wife to double the distance with the same heels for another charity if i complete the walk.

  9. maybe you would like to check out the charitys events web page at www.helpforheroes.org.uk/events_t-z.html#96 that will give you all the details you need. you will also see my justgiving web page where i have uploaded some photos. i have done 5 miles in around 2 hours in worn out flat mens shoes when my car broke down. i had blisters on my heels the size of golf balls as the heels were collapsing. if they had been new i would of been ok but they had been in regular use for around 7 or 8 years.

  10. just a quick note to say im doing the charity walk in aid of HELP FOR HEROES. its a british charity raising money for wounded soldiers coming back from afganistan. check out their website on

    www.helpforheroes.org.uk/index.html

you may of heard of it as american troops are over their as well hunting down Bin Laden. hope they get him soon as too many troops have been injured

  11. just need a bit of advice on how to avoid injuring myself. the reason i am asking is that i am going to be doing a 5 mile walk for charity in 7.5'' heels (Pleaser XTC826). i have never worn heels in my life unless you count when i was in primary school in the 1970's when i had a pair of mens 4 inch platforms (i used to play football in them). i just need a bit of advice on foot excercise etc. should i wear stockings or not. i have been told to wear them as i am likely to have blisters without them

  12. I am due to do a 5 mile charity walk on a hard surface wearing a pair of womans PLEASER XTC826 sandals. I am totally new to wearing such footwear and i think i need a bit of help (Any shrinks on this forum). Can anyone tell me what i need to know.

1/ Do i wear stockings or not

2/ How often do i stop

3/ How do i prevent blisters

4/ How do i excercise my feet

any information will be of use. i am doing the walk on 22 Aug 2009. I am sure most forum users will agree that 5 miles is a long way in 7.5'' heels, especially if you have NEVER worn them in your life:mecry::winkiss::mecry:
